I only have good things to say about the hotel and the staff members. We checked in Sunday the 23rd of October and received 5 star treatment from the reception area. Our room was well equipped and comfortable for all of us. As a family we received so many recommendations of what to do that will accommodate our 4 year old son, the waiters in the dining area are so friendly and professional with every guest they see, Our stay was blissful and my family and I really enjoyed it . Thank you everyone for the great hospitality! We will definitely visit again.

Beautiful rooms made even better by the extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating staff! I loved my stay here and all good in the hotel restaurant was delicious (with the exception of the room service which could be improved). Being on loop street it is a noisy area and that should be considered if you are a light sleeper. Would definitely stay here again!

Do not stay in this hotel if you can, especially when you are business traveller. I had serious issue with the hotel laundry service, which was handled by its appointed 3rd party laundry company. My new pant was discoloured massively after so called dry cleaning treatment. The hotel front office and house keeping staffs have verified the poor treatment. However, the arrogant duty manager insisted everything was correct, despite the pant has lost its origin color significantly. Every normal person, who is familiar with laundry would recognise the pant has been treated in a rough washing condition; incl. improper ironing. However, the duty manager insisted nothing was wrong based on camera footage, instead of looking at the outcome of the laundry results. He defended his position, was afraid of paying any compensation. The worst part was, prior the rejection, hotel staffs have been asking what would be the value of compensation. The next day, everything changed. So much to attitude, character and integrity of the management.

Not a 5 star hotel. 1) Breakfast is poor and inconsistent service. Half of the time you need to be proactive to receive a breakfast menu and to order. One day a man next to me had to ask for coffee three times before receiving it which made me chuckle. I had to order breakfast twice one day to receive it. Not a stress you need or want especially when you’re on holiday. 2) Cleaners tidy rooms twice a day but don’t CLEAN them. After climbing Table Mountain at the start of my 2 week trip I left a dirty toe mark in the bath which I used once and noticed it was still not cleaned when I checked out the room. 3) At one point the cleaner took one bath towel of two so me and my partner had to share a towel. 4) Pictures make it look like there is a bar at the top by the pool which is the main reason we booked this place but that’s not the case. There’s a small pool by the spa. 5) Only 2 lifts which you have to mandatorily use cards to function and often it doesn’t recognise your card first time. 6) Shuttle bus service is not reliably on schedule. Staff are definitely friendly but inattentive. Clearly a hotel which hasn’t been invested in for many years. I would say it’s either a 3 or 4 star hotel and definitely not a 5 star.

There aren't enough stars to rate the hotel. From our room, breakfast... The staff were all so friendly and welcoming but one who stood out the most was the receptionist Ndumi. Such a helpful bubbly personality We were in CT to celebrate our birthday weekend. When she checked us in she paid attention to detail as she picked up it was our birthday month and really went out of her way to recommend places and activities we could get up to make sure our stay in Cape Town was memorable. Truly an asset to Pepperclub Hotel. Thanks again for the assistance, keep leaving a little sparkle everywhere you go :-)

Rooms are great, unfortunately prices of meals are over the top expensive and culinary performance is low especially in the CT inner city environment. Staff was slow and small for such a big environment. Better sleep here and eat out.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are friendly (most of the time) however I did not like so many checks of the rooms across the day. Some of these checks happened at 7:00 in the morning and another one at 20:00 in the evening. Even the reception was calling (as a courtesy) to check if all is well. Restaurant is also good with nice food. Shuttle service is available to Camps bay and waterfront. There are plenty of nearby restaurants as well.

I have been with friends in this hotel a few days ago and I would like to emphasise the various things. The first is my thanks to the reception staff for their patience and their kindness and good service at all times with us. Really to all the staff, but especially to them. The hotel is in a very good location, city centre and also the hotel provides you with its taxi service, which is great. The breakfast is fantastic Thank you very much for everything and totally recommended.

Nice place to be, with very nice staff. Amazing breakfasts. Credits to the chef's. Pool is unheated, but the lovely views and the warm air temperature make up for it. Stayed here for a week, was a very enjoyable experience. Thank you.

My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary with a stay at the Pepper Club Hotel, and we were absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel went above and beyond to make our special occasion truly memorable. The first thing that struck us was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel staff greeted us with genuine smiles and congratulated us on our anniversary. They truly made us feel like honored guests from the get-go. Our room was nothing short of spectacular. It was decorated as requested, impeccably clean and all extra requests plus more was provided. The attention to detail was remarkable, and the little touches, like a personalized anniversary card and a bottle of champagne, made us feel incredibly special. The staff at the Pepper Club Hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance though the entire hotel was amazing. Our last morning, we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast in bed. The room service team was prompt and courteous, and the food was delicious. It was the perfect way to start our day. What truly sets the Pepper Club Hotel apart, however, is their commitment to personalizing the guest experience. They took the time to learn about our preferences and offered suggestions for activities in the area also what we would prefer in our room. The hotel's location is also worth mentioning, as it was convenient for exploring the city and enjoying its attractions. It is city Centre based so expect noise around the building. I requested a room away from the Long Street night life and was accommodated to the T!! Even though it was not guaranteed. In summary, our anniversary stay at the Pepper Club Hotel was nothing short of excellent. The staff's genuine care, attention to detail, and commitment to making our celebration special went far beyond our expectations. This hotel has set a new standard for us, and we can't wait to return for our next special occasion. If you're looking for a truly exceptional and romantic experience, we highly recommend the Pepper Club Hotel.

The hotel is in the city. The view of Table Mountain is amazing and I am sure during summer, the sunsets will be awesome. The rooms are spacious, the bed was comfortable and I loved the guest amenities. I also loved that the toilet was separate to the bathroom and not all in one. The staff were extremely friendly at check-in, breakfast, dinner and check-out. I loved the artwork in the COPA Restuarant and the food was fresh, warm and delicious. I loved that they included a happy birthday note and cake in the room on arrival for my partner. I expected some level of noise, being in the city, but it wasn't bad at all, just one car in the evening that was revving the engine. The pool was unfortunately closed during our stay but we used the sauna facilities and the spa treatments were good. We enjoyed our stay and will go again for a movie/dinner and popcorn.

The hotel is a good location to explore Cape Town. Easy to park a car. The rooms were large enough and well furnished. The breakfast was very good and we always got a table no matter what time. The decor is very good and the bed very comfortable. There is a few things that could be done slightly better. Even though I had credit on the account, I was asked each time to pay for room service (when food was delivered and then a check had to be made before food was given), this was the same for some laundry (was not delivered and had to chase) and on 1 occasion had to call for towels and this took over an hour for delivery. But overall the hotel is very good and. would stay again if in Cape Town.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Pepperclub. We received an amazing treatment, the stuff has a wonderful service. Loved their indoor gym, sauna and cinema. The restaurant is top class and so is the food. Location is central and they have a shuttle to camps bay and waterfront, that was convenient for us.

This hotel provides very comfortable accommodation in the City Centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful and resolved all my requests efficiently. A few things to consider when bookinf here: there is an extremely busy night life precinct on Long Street with loud music until early hours of the morning. This may not bother everyone but consider requesting a room on other side of the building if this might bother you. Also although general service was excellent, there were some small niggles mainly because it seems the attention to detail is not consistent everywhere.

Great experience at first, BUT MONEY STOLEN from luggage inside the room We stayed in the hotel for two nights before flying out and had a very nice experience on site: The room - although noisy during the night - was big, clean and offered a beautiful view over Table Mountain. The staff we interacted with personally was very friendly, helpful and attentive. We even had some refreshments waiting for us to celebrate the occasion we were travelling for. What ruined the experience for us now looking back is that we realised afterwards that both my wife and I had money stolen from the room which we had hidden in our luggage as an emergency fund. We know it happened there because we had checked the money earlier that same day. Unfortunately we noticed it missing only while unpacking at home. What a shame considering it's a five star hotel, clearly making an effort with their guests and yet leaving us so angry and sad at the end of honeymoon.

Staff is friendly and the hotel itself is comfortable. For the category I was expecting an actual bathtub and the elevator system is a complete mess. You have to wait for the elevator, it takes a long time. During my stay my room card demagnetised twice, I thought that wasn’t even a thing anymore, I don’t remember the last time that happened and I travel often.

During my recent visit to Cape Town, I had the pleasure of staying at the Pepper Club Hotel, and it truly exceeded my expectations in every aspect. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The location of the Pepper Club Hotel is superb, situated in the heart of Cape Town's vibrant city center. It offers easy access to popular attractions, shopping districts, and a wide range of dining options. Whether you're looking to explore the bustling streets or enjoy the breathtaking views of Table Mountain, this hotel serves as an ideal base for your Cape Town adventures. The hotel itself exudes luxury and elegance. The interior design is modern, chic, and tastefully decorated, creating a sophisticated ambiance throughout. My room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and provided all the comforts one would expect from a five-star hotel. The attention to detail in the room's design and amenities was impeccable, ensuring a truly indulgent and relaxing stay. The staff at the Pepper Club Hotel deserves special praise. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attentiveness were remarkable. From the front desk to the concierge and housekeeping, every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure a seamless and memorable experience. They were always ready to assist with any requests or provide valuable recommendations about the city's attractions and activities. One of the highlights of my stay was the rooftop pool and bar area. The panoramic views of Cape Town from this vantage point were breathtaking, especially during sunset. It provided the perfect setting to unwind, sip on a refreshing cocktail, and soak in the beauty of the city. The hotel's fitness center and spa facilities were also top-notch, offering a range of amenities and services for guests seeking relaxation or maintaining their wellness routines. If I were to offer any constructive feedback, it would be regarding the dining options within the hotel. While the quality of the food was excellent, I felt that the menu options were somewhat limited. However, with Cape Town's vibrant culinary scene just steps away, this minor drawback did not significantly impact my overall experience. In conclusion, the Pepper Club Hotel in Cape Town is a true gem. Its prime location, luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and stunning rooftop facilities make it an exceptional choice for both leisure and business travelers. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and indulgent stay in the beautiful city of Cape Town.

Pepperclub Hotel offered a 5-star experience from start to finish. Everyone representing the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate me. Smooth pickup from the airport. Complimentary shuttle service to/from the waterfront and Camp's Bay makes daily activities easy. Quiet and comfortable rooms with sliding doors. Delicious menu and beautiful COPA restaurant. Well stocked gym with a fantastic view. Everyone should book a Spa service -- my massage was fantastic! I was solo for the first part of my trip; my group's flight got cancelled last minute which left me in a tizzy. The evening front desk People calmed my nerves and the morning front desk People were genuinely compassionate and able to sort out my issues. Will definitely stay here again!

Just had a girls holiday with my two besties at this wonderful hotel. Spacious rooms with interconnecting doors as requested with views of Table Mountain. We packed a lot into one week with the help of the hotel staff who couldn't do enough to help. We booked bed & breakfast as it was cheap to eat out but we ate at the hotel regularly as the food was amazing, shout out to the chef especially on pasta night..... Nice facilities with little touches like the cinema which you could book and watch a film of your choice from their list, the wonderful staff in the spa that soothed our aches and pains bust mostly to all of the staff who took care to make our stay a welcoming one from in the restaurant to the desk staff and concierge. We will definitely be returning with families in tow.

Great stay, service and meals. On the day we were checking out our car rental battery died due to leaving the lights on the night before and Winston and AJ were so quick to assist us in jump starting. Super friendly staff all around the hotel. Thanks so much!

Nice rooms with a 3(!) sinks, balconies (but they could use some furniture, and a great huge shower. I also enjoyed a great massage at the spa, which is next to the pool and sauna. The elevators are annoyingly slow but this was one of the best hotels I stayed in during my trip to South Africa!

Blair was fantastically helpful and informative in facilitating our event with The Pepper Club Hotel. Even with break down they assisted in décor removal. The space was very reasonably priced and very clean. Our client had an absolutely great time. We deal with many venues and sometime leave knowing we will never go back however we will certainly use this again. Thank you to everyone that was involved.

This has to be one of the most beautiful hotels in Cape Town. The location staff rooms are definitely award winners. And the view of Table Mountain is simply breathtaking! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience.

Good hotel with nice large rooms and clean modern restaurant and café. I was quite disjointed with the steak. I ordered just a basic beef steak one evening and the next evening thought I would go with the fillet steak. It was over twice the price and no difference to the basic beef steak. Definitely not fillet. I queried with the chef but he wasn't backing down. A few nights later I had a fillet steak elsewhere which confirmed I was right. A shame as a good hotel in a good area but the food not as promised.

This was my third time staying at Pepperclub. It truly is one of the best hotels in Cape Town. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfy. The views are amazing. The facilities are exceptional and the staff go out of their way to make sure your stay is phenomenal. I’ve been to many hotels around Cape Town and can definitely say that Pepperclub is the one I always come back to.

My first impression of this hotel was, “Wow! That's the best hotel I've ever stayed!”. Nice room, breathtaking view, friendly stuff. Even night noise because of the clubs around couldn't ruin my stay. Everything changed when I started packing my things on my last night there and found out that my tablet was gone. It was in the safe but disappeared. Firstly, I thought I misplaced it and looked everywhere: all my bags, under the bed, in the oven, EVERYWHERE. But it was gone. Thereafter, my roommate decided to count money she had in the safe as well. As you can guess, some amount was gone as well. We realized we were robbed. We went straight to the reception but all we could get from the stuff was a lot of “sorry”, “it never happened before” and a tale about some security guy who would come tomorrow, conduct an investigation and e-mail us. Sure, e-mail would fix everything. Getting ahead, we didn't receive even that e-mail. Our tour guide adviced us to call the police. So, we opened the case with the police as well. Fun fact: the police told us such cases constantly happen and not to trust the hotel with their “never happened before”. Next day we had to leave for the next location. I got a call from the security guy named Clint who asked all the same question receptionists and police did and told me again about the e-mail he would send me after the investigation. The week has passed and no e-mail, no nothing. We came back to Cape Town and decided to go to the hotel to find out what's the news. We talked to the manager Chris (if I remember a name correctly) who told us that they conducted an investigation and asked our cleaning lady during the polygraph examination if she robbed us. She said no, so the case is closed, they did everything they could. Well, thank you for nothing. Our tour guide who went with me asked if any compensation is possible. Manager said that he would find out and give us a call. When he called, there was no “sorry” any more. He said that they're not responsible for the stolen things and are not even sure anything was stolen. Sure, I travelled through 2 continents just to pretend I was robbed and have an argument with a hotel during my long-awaited holiday. Same goes for my roommate. To sum up, I would advise this hotel as an employer: you can do whatever you want, even steal from people, and the hotel will protect you. Even blame their clients. But if you want to have a great holiday or just a peaceful stay, please avoid this place at all means.

The service was good. The room was horrible and I will explain. We stayed on the 16th floor overlooking Long Street. The rooms nicely well appointed but the bathrooms were interesting. The sink counter was very small (almost nonexistent) and couldn’t support my kit much less my wife’s. The toilet was separate, which was nice, but separated by a glass wall overlooking the rest of the bathroom. Purpose? The room was not tolerable due to noise from the street below. The music (bass dance) from clubs on Longs street was excessive and loud until 2 am. I called the manager to the room so he could hear and he admitted it was not tolerable. He offered ear plugs which we already had in place. He said he would call the clubs. This didn’t work but in fact seemed to have made it worse. He offered to move us at 1:30 am but we would have to move again the next night. Music stops at 2am. What’s another 30 min at this point. After a night of misery, We left to the Mount Nelson the next day in lieu of trying a different room. The manager did not refund that night (he said he gave us options) or for our prepaid reservation for the next two nights (he would have moved us to another room) which was highly disappointing. Breakfast was quite good.

Very good hotel. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. We stayed for 6 nights, in a room with a view to Table Mountain and we didn't even want to go home. Close to the V&A Waterfront, and the shuttle service takes you to the V&A and Camps Bay.

  • 5/5 Ntshepeng T. 1 year ago on Google
The welcome was professional, received a free room upgrade and cake and strawberry in my room for my birthday. Centrally located and within walking distance to most places in the city. They have scheduled shuttles to the waterfront and camps bay which is a nice touch and happy hour daily at the bar! Will def book again.

We stayed at this great hotel for one night just to get away one last time before the arrival of our first baby. The whole experience was phenomenal and the service was perfect. It made us feel like tourists in our own city! Highly recommended.
