The best backpackers/hostel I've stayed in yet in South Africa. The staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, helpful and accommodating. Superb location with a MyCiti bus stop just across the street. Very easy to walk around the CBD from here and able to get an Uber easily for other places such as getting to Table Mountain or Camps Bay for sundowners. Plethora of choices of restaurants to walk to order from for delivery. If you've forgotten any last minute essentials, no worries, plenty of shops within the vicinity to get these from. I loved the balance of being able to meet people but also able to withdraw to quiet spots. They really balance it well between those who want to party and those who prefer a quieter space. I really appreciated that they're quite strict with the quiet times. Rooms and bathrooms super clean, all round very clean and well maintained hostel. Felt very at home. Of course, absolute bonus points for the free breakfast and a buffet style one on weekends! Definitely will be popping in when I need to spend a night over in the CBD again.

I freakin' loved this hostel. Good price, central location, and attentive staff. Breakfast is included. There's a list of simple options to choose from, and one can have juice and/or coffee. It's pretty decent, worthwhile for the price. It's the kind of hostel one can chill at in between daily doings. I slept in a pod, and it was so comfortable and clean. Keep up the good work, 91 Loop.

Very basic and convenient. Quite safe. Great value for money. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. Situated in the heart of CPT Metropolitan area. Ideal if you operate on a limited budget.

Was looking for an affordable place to sleep for the night, and landed here! Note! You pay for parking your car here, as a consolation the parking bays are secured! Much better than parking on the street!

The best hostel experience I've ever had. Clean and big rooms, with modest but nice decorations. Very nice location in the middle of Cape Town next to a big parking garage. Breakfast included and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

No complaints at all, it was quiet and comfortable. However, it seemed to be missing a little of that authentic hostel vibe. Perhaps the public spaces were fewer than we would hope. Anyways, a pleasant stay. Wish we could have tried the breakfast!

Wonderful stay. I booked a private room after 40 hrs of travel and it was a wonderful place to unwind & recover from jet lag - the room was super clean and the staff is exceptionally friendly! There is a social vibe if you’re looking for that too:) would stay here again! Excellent downtown location

Everything is perfect: location, kind staff really attentive, great food, free entertainment, comfy beds... The only thing to mention is that these days we missed some heating in the room because of the high humidity, rains and cold, but for all the rest is a ten. Breakfast is so complete and made at the moment.

The place was fairly clean and neat. However, there was no security which was a bit scary as people who don't live there, were allowed to freely walk in. This place is conveniently located near tourist attractions so that was a plus. The food was okay, supper was a buffet style

Ideal location if you want to see Capetown, free storage for bags before you check in however the space could be bigger. Friendly staff with great insights too on how to travel the city and what to do

Hostel quite central, that offers nice rooms with confortable beds. Ideal for 1-2 nights if you are looking for a quite place. Next to reception, there is a restaurant available. Personally, I missed having a private area reserved for the guests and a kitchen.

By far one of my favourite backpackers in CPT. Great sleeping options from open bunks to private pods. Warm showers and a choice of breakfast daily included. The venue also offers an very cozy restaurant with great staff and regular live events.

I stayed in South Africa for a month and in that time, I stayed at this hostel for a little over 2 weeks, if that says anything. This hostel honestly felt like a proper hotel with excellent customer service. Free breakfast was a bonus as was the overall cleanliness of this establishment. Note that the 20-pod rooms had privacy curtains while the other rooms/beds were without. Such a minor inconvenience, in my opinion. Also, the beds had their own wall outlets and night light. The best part of this hostel was the location - smack dab in the center of everything, but not so much that you have to deal with the loud noises of Long st. Highly recommend!!

This place was great for my needs. I shared a private room with a friend and it was big, clean and very comfortable. It was a basic hostel room on the face of it but it had extras like a great little pillow side shelf with USB charging and a light. We had a clean ensuite bathroom. All this plus friendly staff and breakfast for a great price.

Thank goodness! I moved here last minute from an awful place in sea point and it couldn’t be more different, I’m in the cheapest pod-style dorm room and it’s still 100x better. Friendly welcoming competent staff and all the usual things you’d expect from a great modern hostel. Knocking off one star as there’s no kitchen but otherwise highly recommend!

Once again enjoyed the stay, they could do with a bit of Revamp If I compare it to 5years ago. But the staff is top, the security at the door always made sure that we are safe and the staff in general are caring and friendly, I hope they get paid enough.

Really enjoyed the chill vibe downstairs, was there on a first Thursday. Definitely a hostel as they have limited variety of alcohol, if you drink alcohol. Should just have two or more barman at the downstairs bar. Just popped in.. So not sure what rooms are like, but it seems very decent. Edit I’m really disappointed that they’ve change the setup downstairs. It doesn’t have that vibe similar to Yours truly on kloof anymore, no more cheap drinks and nice chicken wings, they are offering tourist prices only. So disappointed.

Can’t recommend this place enough! They accommodated my group of 25 very well, with very friendly staff and service. Great food from the breakfast and bar/restaurant. They let us use the public shower after we checked out which made the plane ride home much more comfortable.

Clean and tidy, nice bar and kitchen, very reasonable prices. No smoking area except out on the street. I was impressed with the free breakfast.

The hostel is situated in a central location in Cape Town. Entering the property you have a nice bar with pooltabel and table football. This is also the place where people can chill at the bar and lounge. The inlcuding breakfast is fine, but not very extensive and served from 07:30 to 10:00. The shower and bathrooms are very clean and work properly. Staying at the hostel for 6 nights would be enough to clean your pod at least 1 time. Unfortunetely they did not clean my pot even after asking the after the third night. Furthermore I stayed in a dorm with 20 other people which is quite a lot.

One of my favourites in Cape Town, a real modern backpacker for most budget travels. Clean crisp white bedding, extra length bunks neat and clean rooms. And not mention affordable.

Really enjoyed my stay here, the staff are there to help you 24/7, there's a great vibe around the open bar/resturant area and live music on the wkends. The lunch menu and food is really good and the accommodation is clean and tidy. The Hostel is in a great location and allows you to walk around the City.

I enjoyed my stay at 91 Loop. The female dorm was clean and the mattress was very comfortable. The staff were amazing! I traveled solo, but they made sure I felt safe, gave me tips, and answered my many questions. The restaurant and lounging area is nothing but great vibes! Loved the music they played; I think I shazaamed the whole playlist. In walking distance to many restaurants and markets. I’ll stay again on my next trip to Cape Town.

In the heart of the city and very close to the V&A and other attractions. Also right next yo Long Street with a vibrant nightlife. The rooms were neat and lovely, and there's a pool table and table tennis for guests. Will definitely recommend.

Great experience. Friendly and helpful staff. The room private double bedroom (Sydney) we stayed in was clean, tidy, aesthetically decorated and the shower hot with good pressure. The complimentary breakfast was hearty, filling and delicious. One of the best stays I've had in Cape Town CBD. Amazing city views and lights can be seen from our widows.
