Stay away! Staff are not trained to industry standards. They have a stinky attitude towards guests. Rooms are modern but basic. No milk. Limited limited TV channels. Small bed. Basic amenities. For what you pay rather stay at the City Lodge or ParkInn.

The rooms are actually quite nice in this hotel and the location is fantastic. Overall, we had a pretty bad experience when checking in, we were not there for even 2 minutes when, as a South African, you are expected to pay a 'Tourism Fee'. I refuse to pay this as a South African citizen. Lord knows we pay for this via PAYE and VAT. This was met with a 'It is what it is' response by both the on shift manager and the check-in consultant. Despite paying for parking, the security guard on duty also seemed to really dislike tourists - Berating them and having an issue with us parking despite paying R50 a day for parking. This was raised with a manager. However, it seemed like I had put a target on my back by doing so, being scowled at for the rest of my stay, and every time this specific guard was on duty. I suspect that the aircons are not cleaned on a regular basis as I arrived in the City of Cape Town as healthy as an ox and after leaving the aircon on for an evening, immediately had a sniff for the rest of my stay. Lastly, I have stayed at many hotels in CPT and I have never heard of the included breakfast closing at 9AM, as a person staying in the CBD, you would expect that your guests are up until late in the Mother City, so most people surface at about 9. To be honest, you're not really missing out on much because of how basic most of these dishes are. I went to breakfast for a total of 2 times throughout my stay, and the food choice hadn't had any variety at all. To sum it all up, if you're looking for an incident free and seamless stay, with everything inclusive, this is not the place for you to spend your valuable time or money at. Opposite of 'Staying Easy'...

Great location. Rooms are a bit small. It's the sister hotel of the Southern sun hotel which is in the same building. Service can improve, selected staff are really helpful amd friendly, especially Bevan at reception. Also the buffet breakfast need a lot more options. They need to have an allocated smoking area to accommodate the smokers to make their stay also comfortable.

The hotel is situated in an ideal location near the Waterfront and Long street where one can catch the hop on hop off bus. Lovely breakfast and great service, with staff that always cater to your needs. Rooms are clean and neat. One has to pay for parking however accessibility from the parking to the hotel is extremely easy. I will definitely stay there again.

Agree with Peter Penz comments below. Staff are not adequately trained n are unprofessional or simply don't care. Many equipment items in the rooms not working such as the tv n telephone to call the reception n for emergencies. Even worse no soap provided in some of the rooms n can't call the reception to bring soap bcos the phone not working. This Faulty Towers hotel is in disparate need of new properly trained hotel managers n whom care about their guests as well..

Me and my wife were staying in the lane for 30 minutes. After that we were stayed 10 minutes more while front-desk stuff checked our booking confirmation. It was at 6:30 pm in the end of March (out of season). It's crazy. We passed all the airport checkings faster than check in in this hotel. There were no any water to drink in the room so you should be ready for this after almost an hour waiting.

The rooms were modern with beautiful views of the city. This exceeded my expectations in the area of decor as aesthetics. Both doormen (night & day shift) were friendly, courteous amd welcoming. Room bins were unfortunately not cleaned when we arrived. Shower was cold and the water builds up (no proper flow into the drain) which made it very unpleasant when looking forward to a hot shower. Constant maintainance in this regard should be a priority. Breakfast variety was very limited.

SMALL ROOMS & NOT A SINGLE CLOSET IN THE WHOLE HOTEL Truly. I asked. As I had dresses that needed to be hung, I inquired. Nope. The only way to hang clothes was a rack that was placed (in all rooms, according to management) over a bench which didn’t allow anything to be hung freely. So strange. I had never encountered anything like this before and all my clothes were wrinkled. Also, the rooms were so small. I tipped $50 for a larger room (the employee seemed over the moon with it) and was given the handicapped room. For that tip in Africa, I expected at least a bottle of water in my room every day; I was there for 4 nights. Nope again. I wouldn’t stay there again due to no place to hang my clothes and the size of the room. The plus was the location.

Impressed with the room. High Tech. The carpet was not as clean as I would prefer it to be. Loved their breakfast. Beautiful swimming pool.

We had a pleasant stay there. Everyone was friendly. The place was nicely quiet and clean. May you please just add more cartoons channels for our little ones 😊

One of the hotels with the best value/price I have ever been to. It has a great gym and skybar with astonished view. Though I lived at StayEasy, I can use the aforementioned spaces in the Sun Square by opening a door at 15th floor. The Sun Square's restaurant at the ground floor is also great. The food was nice and the price was reasonable. Most importantly, it opened on the Christmas night, while most shops were closed! I and my friends had our last dinner at Cape Town with a great experience.

When I checked -in -staff not friendly. However, check out was better. Guy was very helpful. Problem with spoons at breakfast. Was surprised that I had to pay extra for parking. R50 per day. I did not see anything on their website. But otherwise fine.

The Hotel has great service and is beautiful and clean. The breakfast on the other hand is not appetising, they have limited options and it's really not worth it. We had beans, bacon rice and bread as breakfast options the one day. They only have scrambled eggs and boiled eggs, no option for fried everyday Above all it was a great stay besides their breakfast

The stay was unsatisfactory. Cockroaches were present throughout the accommodation, even in the bathroom. Our room was not cleaned until 7:30 p.m. after multiple phone calls. Breakfast was survival of the fittest. There were long lines because there were too many people, there were no tables, and the food was constantly running out. I did enjoy having access to the hotel next door's pool and fitness center.

We had a overall great experiance at you're hotel, We were met by an Very friendly and capable receptionist that made quick work of the booking. The room was very clean and neat and all the staff were super friendly, special shout out to the Parking guards😇. in one of the nights we were at the hotel it was my wife's bithday and when we came back from our day out they left us a surprize in the room wishing her a happy bday, this act of kindness was a memereble moment and realy added a personel touch to our stay there, shows the hearts of the managing team that isbin charge and made us feel even more at home. thank you for a great stay we will definatly be visiting again.

I slept very well. Had everything i needed. I had an issue with the shower but maintenance came up in 10mins and sorted it out. Great breakfast buffet. Although I had to go to the adjoining hotel to have dinner.

Looks like same reviews from muiltiple guests And manager responds with the same reply but nothing seems to have been done yet. Im here for 5 days. 1st day room never got serviced, Complainted three times befor Manager came to view the room. Then was serviced the next day. Rooms are good for a 3 star has everything you need for a business trip. Wont recommend it for a family though. Breakfast deserves a 1 star or even zero. There is no variety like so many others have said in their review. Atleast have chicken!!!! Not everyone has beef or pork. But there is nothing for the vegetarians or non beef / pork eaters. And whats there is basic to say the least and never changes for 5 days Only two coffee machines and one doesnt work. So extreamly long wait for coffee during breakfast. Also re filling the buffet takes to like. Like bread had to wait 10 mins to get bread refilled. Its a budget hotel but im sure basics like water in the room etc can provided. The location is great

Our room had an incredible view of the city and sea. Night views of the city were brilliant - we watched the cityscape come alive with the moon in juxtaposition over the vibrant city. The lounge at the nearby 14th Floor Sun Square (as a guest at the Stay Easy you have access to) had an amazing mountain/city and sea/city view made for sundowners! The location was really central - we could easily access the city on foot (great restaurants/eateries/dessert joints etc..).

Excellent Hotel and very clean. Would use this Hotel again. Very affordable and comfortable. The personnel are very friendly and helpful. They make your stay at the Hotel pleasant. The Hotel is closed to all major tourist attractions and us within walking distance.

Worst hotel of 20 day tour. Safe locked , room too small, asked double told had double & got twin, check in slow & chaos, not all lifts working. No restaurant or bar despite signs. Asked for safe to be reset & iron but never turned ip in time. No sign of mgt even when ask. Oops forgot. They handed out room cards that did not work in lift or your room. Back to receptions by snail speed lift. Similar pronled with same group in Jo burg

When I arrived i waited for 14 minutes to be checked in. There was no clear communication as to where we should wait or go,the lady that was on duty just continued typing on her computer without communicating, while we stood waiting . The hotel wasn’t busy at all and the lobby was quite. Secondly upon arrival I wanted to take a shower ,but couldn’t take a shower because the shower drain was blocked . It was so uncomfortable. Because the water stood still instead of flowing. Thirdly on the morning of Check out at about 08:00 someone opened my door and realized it was occupied and simply said “ou sorry”. If it was an employee I don’t understand why they wouldn’t know the room is occupied. And knock before opening. I had a clear sign on my door written “do not disturb” The facial tissues close to the hand basin were just shoved, I wasn’t able to use them without them being being damaged. We we went for breakfast at 09:28,at the restaurant there were was no host to welcome us we simply just stood there until a chef came to assist. Once again had to wait for assistance I’ve traveled to so many properties, and know this isn’t hospitality.

What a great stay. Friendly staff. Great value for money top notch finishes and if you feel like Seafood it's only 1 minute walk to the Balena Blu Authentic Italian Seafood Restaurant at 61 Waterkant Street. Best in Cape Town!!

The room was extremely small, I was sick but my partner went for breakfast and was going to bring me something as I did not have the strength to go to the breakfast area. The security stopped him even when he told them I was sick and showed we payed for 2 people. He had to go get take out!! So unprofessional and the front desk lady, looked as if she did not want to be there. She didn’t communicate, the customer service was so bad!! I would never recommend this hotel. Rather go to the Rockerfeller Hotel, it is cheaper and the service is 5*

Stay Easy is well located and close to most of the Cape Town main attractions, breakfast was a bit bland though other than that it was good enough, depending on your type of stay

Great hotel if you are traveling on a budget, nicely located right between the city center and the Atlantic seaboard.

The hotel is under seige from Census 2022 people that don't know how to behave in a hotel. The staff are under pressure due to there lack of etiquette and manners. We do not even eat breakfast at the hotel due to the unruly guests, if you can call them that. I have stayed here before and it was lovely. This time it is a nightmare I tried to change Tsogo Hotels but they are everywhere.

The room has a spectacular view of Table Mountain, the breakfast offerings are enticing and delicious, the property is pristine and the service is outstanding! I highly recommend this establishment to everyone.

The safe wasn't working. There was no phone directory for hotel switch board etc. The cleaning staff through away my chronic medication. Otherwise, well located. Quiet. Safe parking. Would recommend it...but make sure to not leave your medication any where or risk having it thrown away.

On check in, I was required to pay a tourism levy. Firstly , I'm not a tourist. Secondly, my online booking was paid in full and this was never mentioned or added to my bill. It is extremely unprofessional and deceptive to force guests to pay for something on arrival

Water was cold in shower, small beds, no milk in rooms for tea and coffee, lack of toiletries such as shampoo body wash lotion, all in one small bottle, one bottle not enough for two guests, no sanitizer in room. Not great for a basic room for the price you pay

Well located…. I was booked in a ‘tiny’ room but it has beautiful finishes. Breakfast was almost the same everyday and no choice of the kind of eggs you want… only scrambled and boiled! 😔 friendly reception stuff….
