Signal Hill Lodge offers a tranquil escape in Cape Town. Nestled on the slopes of Signal Hill, it boasts stunning panoramic views. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. The staff is warm and accommodating, adding to the overall positive experience. While it's not a luxurious option, it provides excellent value for its location and amenities. Signal Hill Lodge is a serene retreat for those seeking a peaceful stay with easy access to Cape Town's attractions, and its vistas of the city and the ocean are truly breathtaking

My name is Candice Dreyer at present my PC is in for repairs so i am using the PC of a colleague. I booked for the 18th July 2022 via Agoda. it was a special and the add said free breakfast and free wifi. when i recieved my confirmation of booking breakfast did not even feature on the notification. I accepted the fact that the add was probably misleading. I asked of the Receptionist if we could drop our bags earlier as we wanted to explore a bit she agreed. When dropping my bags before checkin the receptionist made me sign the necessary paperwork so it could be easier when we checkin later that day. i requested a smoking room on Agoda. The receptionist informed me that i have a deluxe room with a balcony I was super excited as I booked the place because i fell inlove with the view. I left all excited for my return later that day and how i will sit on the balcony and have a smoke and just enjoy my time out from my stressful job as a Social Worker. on my return i was so disappointed when the receptionist informed me that i no longer would be staying in the room she so much said i was going to have, due to a patron that would be having a longer stay and has preference above me. I was furious. The worst part was when she took me to show me the room she informed me that the towels would be counted on my checkout and they would check the bed for stains never have myself and my partner age 47 felt so humiliated and undermined both of us once worked within the hospitality industry never once did we undermine our clients. i am disgusted at the management of this concern. i will never recommend this place to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay, on our way to the hotel the neighborhood Bo-Kaap seemed scary as you pass this neighborhood to the hotel. But once inside we were pleasantly surprised, the staff is very polite and ready to assist with everything. The views are to die for, and its very quite and clean. Definitely coming back :)

More like a hotel than a guest house, with large lounge areas and patios to enjoy the views over Cape Town. Free parking on site. Breakfasts are great with cereals, juice, fruit, yoghurts, and cooked ful English, pastries and bread. Comfy beds, large rooms, air con, ensuites. It's in a quiet area on the side of Signal Hill. Good value.

Excellent stay! 5 star service. Staff helped us with everything. I forgot my charger. We arrived in after sunset after getting married. Manager helped us take photos with their beautiful views. Lodge is also squeaky clean!

In Cape Town there was taxi strike in the period of my booking(It was violent) , for travel safety and coming from township I called to postpone. They said they could not postpone my booking due to their policy. The taxi strike affected the whole city(not in my control), maybe not their hotel. But it’s definitely not for ordinary people. Sadly I couldn’t go.

I must say, this is really an insider tip for pricing and location. The rooms are very clean and the reception makes a friendly welcome, I need to revise my evaluation of the accommodation price. The room price increases by 35% and varies greatly depending on the room booking

Friendly staff, bathroom door did not close properly. At breakfast we had to ask for some of the food, as other guests had already taken most of it. But a nice place to stay over.

This place is amazing to visit with your friends and family especially spouse because its sunset is beautiful and looking over the ocean. The night sky is beautiful and the city lights shining so bright and amazing while driving down the hill

Booked a stay here through Agoda a few months ago. I paid for the booking. Subsequently I needed to cancel a day later due to an emergency. I called in immediately to Agoda who informed me that while they had no issue with refunding or changing the dates of the stay - the lodge was being difficult. They initially refused to refund me nor change the dates. They cited a non cancellation policy- which is nowhere to be seen on their website. I spoke to Warren and Lucille. Both of whom were extremely rude. In particular, Warren. The kind of rude and uncouth behavior displayed by this character should never be tolerated at a hotel business. He pretty much maintained that he cares about money over customer satisfaction. Eventually they said that if a customer books that room which I had for that week, then they will credit me for my stay. I ended up only getting 4 out of the 5 days booked. This was after significant hassle on my part. The room itself is extremely small. The shower has low pressure issues. Would definitely not recommend.

First advise you to leave your valuables in the room as it is dangerous to walk around with it in the city then they go into the room, look through your stuff and steal from you. When asked to see footage they said they will let us see it the next day, however then they changed their minds and said a police file must be opened first. Opened a case and went back to them but apparently they only keep the footage for 3 days, so they drag out the time till it's too late. Even though they could have saved a copy of they wanted too.

Excellent & awesome scenery to view, awesome service for guests, pool, not enough parking. A bit far out from airport, but worth the stay. Not expensive, reasonably priced. Is wheelchair accessible with lift. Part of the beautiful Bo-Kaap, .

I was disappointed with my stay. There are no fridges in the room. The bathroom smelled like a blocked sewerage, in fact you could smell it when you entered the building. The parking is a nightmare because they try and fit about 12 cars into a tiny space. I was late for an appointment one morning because I was parked in. The staff is amazing but they are overwhelmed and overworked due to the establishment being understaffed. The front of house is also the one who prepares breakfast, help with laundry, help with parking arrangements and even attending the bar as there is no dedicated bar person. No one offered to help carry my luggage, which is understandable because the staff is just too busy. It was pouring down with rain one morning and I had to load my luggage on my own. The coffee in the rooms are awful tiny packets of chicory. Surely they can afford to put decent coffee in the rooms? For the price of the breakfast one would expect a decent meal but the bread is the cheap Sasko white bread and small packets of margarine, not butter. The "fruit salad" is basically a quarter apple and a quarter orange. On my last morning a staff member came to ask if we would like some juice with our meal. The previous mornings, no one mentioned anything about juice being included with the meal. Again, not the fault of the staff, they don't have capacity to be everywhere at the same time. The tap-system in the bathroom is such a strange setup - there literally one shut-off valve lever that acts as a tap for both the sink and the shower. You don't have access to the dining room outside of breakfast times which is annoying because I didn't want to have dinner in my room, besides there are no plates or cutlery in the room to do so. You have to ask someone to help you with heating food etc as guests are not allowed to be in the kitchen unattended. It's all very disappointing and I will most certainly not be recommending this place at any stage. Thanks to the staff for trying their best.

Great staff and extremely helpful going more than the extra mile on most occasions! Beautiful views from bo-kaap and a very restful location away from the frenetic activity in Cape Town.

Very clean, staff all fantastic and helpful, lovely setting with views of the city, table mountain and harbour. Will visit again when in Cape Town, only problem we had not enough parking for all the cars so very tight squeeze to get out, and not parking a hired car on the street, otherwise great stay

The lodge has a beautiful view overlooking the City Bowl and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The downside is that guests make so so much noise in the morning while people are still sleeping.
