Zibaldone was recently recommended and as we had an appointment in Bellville, we decided to give it a try. This upmarket Italian restaurant must serve the best food I have had in a long time and the service was outstanding. Sadly there are just not enough really good Italian restaurants around, offering as many great choices and superb wines. They even have a selection of Italian wines. We made the mistake of asking for an onion and mild garlic pizza to nibble while deciding on the main menu. It was so delicious we could not stop eating it. This was followed by Pork Fillet served with a Gorgenzola cream sauce on Gnocci and fresh sprigs of Brocolli. My partner ordered Saltimbocca which he found “Tasty, tender and absolutely delicious”. Looking out of the window on the water’s edge, we were transported back to our trip in Santorini where we first tasted “Cantuccini & Vin Santo” a delicious Biscotti which is dipped into a sweet sundried dessert wine. I cannot wait to go back for more.

A recommendation saw me visit. A professional experience from booking through dinner. The minestrone was hearty and authentic. The veal limone was simple and perfectly prepared. , The rest of the party had veal marsala and fillet. All had smiles and compliments. Great Italian food in Northern Suburbs! Will definitely be back.

The food and service are always excellent. The owners are always friendly and they go the extra mile to make sure you are happy.

Beautiful, intimate Italian restaurant with a breathtaking view as it is situated the Tygervalley Waterfront. The waiters are welcoming, friendly and don't mind explaining the food options on the menu. The food was delicious and enough portion size. Had a pleasant time and will definitely be returning soon!

Had the most divine experience here with my Family. The service and food is top notch. The ambience is lovely. The service ambassadors are excellent and attentive. We cannot wait to book again!

Stylish calm atmosphere with a variety of interesting dishes that tastes great. I can recomend Zibaldone, especially to take that loved one for a romantic dinner.

Booked for Christmas Eve and was delighted that a table was available. It is clear that alot of effort goes into looking after its guests and the food was a welcome reminder of a trip to Italy some years ago (especially the Veal). The view over the quarry waterfront was an added bonus.

I really love coming to Zibaldone every time I visit Cape Town. We've known the owners since their Perusia days, and the restaurant keeps the classic Italian feel going in more of a higher end style, while still feeling like a comfortable space for families to enjoy.

Absolutely one of the best high end restaurants in the Northern Suburbs. I had a business lunch there with clients and it was superb. Zibaldone will definitely see me again. Thank you.

It was load shedding when we were there. We could not get cuppachino when we arrived, because the owner that makes it was not in yet. We did not book. But just walked in. They opened at 6 in the evening on the saterday. We could not have what we wanted on the menu. Because they need electricity. So when you visit this restaurant, just make sure it is not in load shedding and book rather, so that the owner is aware that you are coming.. 👀

I would describe it as semi fine dining. Italian cuisine with a generous wine selection. Food was excellent and the waiters very knowledgeable about the menu, make up of dishes etc. If you are in the Tygerberg area I can whole heartedly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing resturant and amazing food and superb service. Ask for either Kyle or Carla to serve you and you will have the best possible experience. They are so accommodating to any and all dietary needs. Strongly recommend!

Horendous We 3 pax ordered pasta which was clearly under done, We asked for it to be cooked more, next minute, one of the owners arrived at our table, very upset, telling us this is standard how they cook their pasta (not our first time eating here), pasta was not al dente. Owner was extremely rude and disrespectful and never allowed us to speak. For him, we were the problem. It’s really sad that it had to come to this and all because, his pizza guy never pitched up. We became his targets.

I had a lovely evening there with my family and friends. I love the authenticity of the menu and been spoiled with choices. The ambiance is so lovely and relaxing. Service is excellent too. I normally skip dessert but theirs is too good not to try. Thank you.

The dishes were so well plated and aptly seasoned! From the carpaccio, the tortelloni and the parfait, everything was perfect! Will definitely visit again ♡

Have bought lunch for 25 people a few times, and they have never dissapointed with their food. Service is great and owners friendly. Bring your own wine and enjoy the ambiance of a really enjoyable meal

Service was excellent Pasta was served piping hot which is not the norm .We appreciated this as many a times when food are served it's already gone cold.Food was tasty and delicious. I would have given 5 stars but just had Pasta at another Restaurant which topped it.🙈.We will definitely visit again 😀
