It was amazing. Second time visiting the park, many more smaller animals, animals are well taken care of. Awesome show with Zoe/y, she's such a character. Kids and adults just loved her ❤️ Nice equipped snack shop for sweets and treats. There is also a coffee barrister.

Such a wonderful place to visit. There are a wide variety of animals (not only the gorgeous Giraffes) and if you have the opportunity to watch the reptile show I'd encourage you to do so! The guy who presented the show was amazing... He's so knowledgeable and really made the show fun.

The Giraffe house was outstanding. We loved seeing the animals. Most of the staff were very unfriendly and a bit rude, which put us off a bit, until we ordered lunch and the staff at the kiosk there made up for it all. They were so lovely and kind. The burgers were amazing.

The Giraffe House 🦒 was fun and interactive. There are plenty of animals to see and there are educational shows where you can touch large snakes and other reptiles. You can only feed the Giraffes with a special reservation days ahead (just a heads up 😉)

A great experience for young and old with ample activities for the whole family. The wild life ranger ZOE was an absolute joy with her presentation of the reptile show had wit and made it enjoyable for all. The price reasonable for kids R50 and adults R80.

The venue: For the price, the experience is well worth it. It is well kept and clean with shade ports at the big enclosures for viewers. The animals: Are well kept, healthy and some are quite interactive to sounds. Show: They also do a show featuring a few reptiles, which is nice and informative for the kids.

We visited Giraffe House for the first time during the December school holidays and we absolutely loved it. There was no cue, the entrance fee is more than fair and you'll find lots of space for the kids to run around. There even is a playground in front of the little snack shop where you can take a break and eat some ice cream in case you need a little break. But of course, the highlight is the many animals in the park that range from big to small and it's so much fun to discover them all and learn some fun facts. We also attended the Reptile Show where we got some hands-on experience with snakes, lizards, fat frogs and scary spiders. The length was perfect for even smaller children and very interesting to follow the show. We will definitely come back more often to admire all the wild animals in a beautiful environment.

At The Giraffe House Wildlife Awareness centre we provide easy access to some of Africa's wonderful wildlife and bird species. Focusing on African wildlife, Giraffe House aims to provide a place for people to enjoy the outdoors, whilst experiencing and learning about animals and why they are special. An important member of our team is Gerry, our hand reared giraffe. Did you know that giraffes can reach almost 6 m and are therefore the tallest land mammals on earth? Gerry is joined by some other animal friends that have been selected to form part of our wildlife educational programs. Education is our primary focus, and we cater from preschool and school groups to older groups. The wildlife education is presented in an informative wildlife conservation program suited for the individual group. We are open to general public. Our interactive creepy crawly encounters are held at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 on weekends and during school holidays. It gives the visitor the opportunity to meet and hold some interesting creatures.

What a wonderfull experience we had this Sunday afternoon at The Giraffe House! We came just in time for a reptile show. The educator was wonderfull and she had a fun way of educating guests with the animals, she made the guests, especially the kids laugh while they are learning about animal wellfare and preservation! The rest of the park was very well taken care of and has top class facilities. The animals are in great care and I just know they will ate in good hands! We had a blast! Their website is also very informative and updated so if you need to know anything please check it out. Thank you to all the hard working and friendly staff! We look forward to our next visit!

Good experience. Everything seems well-maintaind, lovely grounds, and many more things to see than expected! Walking the path around the larger side if the park leads you in front of the big giraffe enclosure, as well as several others housing eland, kudu, springbok, zebra and wildebeest. On the other half there are smaller habitats for crocodiles, warthogs and meerkats; a number of large cages and aviaries housing a variety of birds; and a corridor of glass cages displaying various insects, reptiles and some amphibians. The animal encounters show was interesting and enthusiastically presented, although animal welfare covid protocals still disallow the public from touching any of the animals. (Which also means no giraffe feeding at present.) Including the roughly half hour show and sitting down for a sandwich (from home - there's no restaurant, just a small "tuck shop" + gift shop; and bringing your own picnics is encouraged), we spent nearly 3 hours here.

What an enjoyable place to visit with your kids. We got to see many small and large animals. There are springbok, duikers, reptiles, ostrich, giraffe, zebra, tortoise food etc. the variety of animals will definitely keep kids entertained. There are also party venues, a snack shop, outdoor play space and jungle gym. We were a bit disappointed that there was no feeding allowed, we hoped that we would be able to purchase food to feed the animals but unfortunately post covid they do not allow animal feeding by the public. We bought entrance tickets at the park and our baby had free entrance as she was not yet 2.

I'm very disappointed in your unfriendly staff. From the moment we arrived we were treated hushly. Cold an unfriendly cashier. When I asked questions she replied "Did you check the website before you came". I checked now again if there's any mention of animals that don't get fed by visitors.due to covid. Like really now!!!. For the whole duration she watching if my 3 2yr old have mask on. We kept social distance from the other visitor's in the park. My word and here Im thinking let's support our wildlife. While my 10yr and two 11yr old was having a conversation at a table where no other visitor's was close, she kept telling them to put there mask on. She worked on my husband's last nerve and out of respect he packed up and went to sit in our van. When I approached her and told her how she made our trip to giraffe house unpleasant she wasn't bothered. I told her I wil put it on there website and her answer was it's my choice. If you don't want visitor's please say or speak to your staff. ! We were 16 paid customer's. Looking at my 13 kids excited face I had no choice to enter the giraffe park

What a place, what a place. Really peaceful, tranquil, relaxing and blissful. Wide variety of animals to see, from chameleons that are roaming free to talk giraffes that are grazing the branches. Even found Timon and Pumba. Definitely a nice place to take the kids and family with. You can take your own picnic basket with or buy things there. Hope that they open the animal feeding times soon, cause I'm sure that would be super awesome and one of a kind experience for everyone

There are many animals. With the guidance of a kind staff, the performance was also possible at 3 p.m., and the animals are having a lazy afternoon with a comfortable mind. There is a playground, a canteen, and I recommend visiting this place.

We had a nice time, the enclosures were clean, although some felt a bit small and boring for the animals. They had nice info which was interesting. All in a all a nice easy way to say some animals without going too far.

Well maintained enclosures and facilities. The boards on each enclosure is very well done with linking it back to cartoon characters. An enjoyable afternoon activity for a family. On a side note, the staff are very friendly and you can see they love what they do.

Lovely wide open spaces for the kids to run around, a few jungle gyms. Clean bathrooms. The animals all look healthy and well kept, and the show with reptiles was really good. Just missing a small coffee shop, or a bigger selection of snacks.

  • 5/5 Nazeefah A. 1 year ago on Google
The premises and animal enclosures are kept very neat and clean. The animals are well looked after and they follow animal protection guidelines. They have a wide variety of wild animals that can even be enjoyed by children or people who fear certain animals because they are safety enclosed and there is a 1m border around every enclosure. There is a cafe for snacks and coffee, and lots of grass for little ones to run around. I thought I was going to be disappointed about not being able to feed the animals due to covid restrictions, but we enjoyed every minute as a family. Will definitely be back.

A must see attraction/wildlife park. Great for the family and very informative. It is a lovely walk between the various habitats and camps where well kept animals are housed. The social distancing regulations imposed on all may have taken away some of the normal supervised interactions with a few of the animals living there but we as a family enjoyed it and were glad to discover another gem. There is a gift store on the premises as well as a kiosk. Restrooms are clean and the whole area is well kept maintained and looked after. There is a lot more than the giraffes to see and a lot more to learn. Definitely a place worth recommending and one I will soon visit again.

It was a nice experience for my kids, they enjoyed themselves. They loved the show.. I just wish that there was more animals involved in the show... Literally only 3 or 4... I understand that the wild animals on the farm needs alot of space; however, it would have been nice seeing them up close as well. I loved that there were tables set out to take a breather. The kids party area needs upgrading tho.

No halaal food options. There is a kiosk for drinks. You are allowed to carry your own food. There is ample place for picnics & play. Many animals, no animal feeding allowed due to covid regulations. Just browse & admire.

Great place to bring children to see some amazing animals. They also have a small animal demonstration that involved the kids excellently to learn more about the creatures and what they contribute to the world. There is lots of place to rest, a small cafeteria area for drinks and snacks and a lovely atmosphere.

  • 5/5 Me L. 8 months ago on Google
Lovely place to visit with kids, large play areas and many animals to meet, not only giraffes. Well kept enclosures. Call ahead if you want to arrange a giraffe encounter / feeding. We enjoyed seeing the chameleons and an impressive collection of slithery snakes.

A lovely place but don't go when it was raining as its very muddy. They had a wonderful range of animals, so beautiful. Lots of parking, limited choice of food though.

  • 5/5 Marlyn S. 1 year ago on Google
It was very wet, muddy and slippery. However, we've had a very good time and experience seeing the giraffes and all sorts of other animals, for our 7yr old son. I told my wife I wouild visit again because for me the giraffe house is far better than the Lion Park. That is why I gave them a 5 star because of the variety of animals.

  • 5/5 Evan S. 9 months ago on Google
Giraffe house is a awesome little place for kids to see animals, not much interaction as these are wild animals and for the safety of both animals and kids. They have a fun show and see of certain reptiles and amphibians whixh helps educate about these animals. Cool venue for kids birthday parties and also small play parks for kids to play in both for venues and those just coming to see the animals. Make sure you have boots if there has been rain before your visit as it can be very muddy/slippery but also fun for kids to walk through puddles with their wellingtons. Benches available to sit and have your packed lunch/snacks and also store selling coffee, water, cool drinks, chips, souvenirs and meals if you didn't bring your own lunch. PS. Please do not hesitate to support their souvenir, refreshment and meal stores as this helps support the upkeep of the park and its animals.

Really great place to go to see some giraffes and a few other animals. The reptile show is a good addition. Only bummer is you can’t feed the giraffes anymore, nonetheless still a great visit.

We had a great time with our young one, place looks to be well maintained and the animals are well looked after. Bathrooms need a bit of TLC but it was a very busy day. Great show about reptiles presented by a humorous and very knowledgable caretaker who also allowed us to touch the Burmese python.

  • 5/5 Ghadeejah M. 1 year ago on Google
Awesome outing for the kiddies. GPS will take you to the right place. Animal encounters are super cool. Loads of animals to see, especially the Giraffes. Play area for the kids to keep them entertained. Food can also be bought here. Definitely recommended. The entry fee for adults is R85 and R55 for kids.

  • 4/5 Elizabeth O. 9 months ago on Google
We went there after terrible storms in Cpt, was told its very wet and muddy but found the area well managed. Though suggest that they do consider getting some stones covering the walkways to assist when it does rain. The girrafes are lovely and the venue has been upgraded since our last visit before covid.

Had a kids' party here, and it was really awesome! Kids enjoyed the lizard show and all the other animals. We will definitely be back soon!

  • 4/5 Celente F. 1 year ago on Google
Even on a rainy day it was absolutely worth visiting the amazing giraffes... all animals are well taken care of, cages are clean. Sad that visibility is quite impaired by lots of fine fencing and giraffes can't be fed anymore since covid times. Would be lovely to go to the top of the wooden frame at the giraffe's space to at least get a better view of them. Coffee is also fantastic and there is loads of parking. There is even a lovely designated area for kiddies to have a party.

Beautiful place to go and spend some time with fily, however we went on a very hot day, so walking with kids can become a bit difficult, as there isin many shade, but other than that, it was a great, variaty of animals, beyond what I had expected,

  • 4/5 Terrin Smith - A. 3 years ago on Google
Loved how chilled it was. We got there at 10am. Managed to look at all the animals. There was even a free show. My son is only three years old and loved every bit of it. I was so surprised because he is not one to sit still, to my surprise he sat through the whole show. Be sure to take with sun tan lotion and a sun hat... It gets hot out there. You are also allowed to take in your own picnic basket. The only thing that was very concerning was the toilets looked neglected and smelled 🤢and the toilet paper was the ones that gives you infection.
