We absolutely love our morning walks here (especially in our pj's, takeaway coffee in hand). The unobstructed natural surroundings are amazing! I would have to say that winter is our favourite time to wonder through the fresh, damp vegetation catching the occasional glimpse of some fungi nestled amongst the wet grass and decomposing leaves.

Love coming here for walks with with toddler. She loves the park too. It's incredibly well kept, security guard is friendly and always visible/ walking around. There are so many different paths, you don't get tired of going for walks. People recommend walking in nature for atleast 20 mins a day and this park makes it really easy. Lots of incredible fauna and flora. You can pack a picnic, there are picnic tables throughout the park. 2 water fountains, an outdoor gym and basketball court with hoops. A play park area for kids and a really scenic and calming natural environment for everyone to enjoy!

Amazing but needs some work still. But it's a working process, to walk outside and be with and between nature. You can enjoy this clean air with your family and friends. There is space in for having picnics, taking the dog for a walk. You will look for any reason to go back to this space of calmness. Nature lovers will be happy. One down fall is the water at the dam side has a odor that needs to be addressed.

Lovely for strolls, walks, runs and any outdoor exercises. They also have outdoor gym equipment so you can mix up your exercises. Just make sure not to be alone as some areas are isolated and not the safest even though they have a security guard he cannot be at all places at once and this is a large park 🏞️ wear good shoes πŸ‘Ÿ or sneakers or trainers because of the gravel but most importantly do not carry all your valuables or keep them well hidden because this is in South Africa 🌍 πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦

Great for family outing. Kids play areas, seating. Clean toilets, ample parking. A river runs through it. Walk, run, trot in garden-like setting.

Nature in the heart of Bellville. Exciting birdlife, insects, snakes, plants and more. Lovely shady trees to relax under on benches or having picnic flat on the green grass. Definitely recommended !

We visited the park for the first time last week. The grounds and facilities looked well cared for: however. The area by the water, where the ducks and especially the ducklings were found was poorly maintained. Plastics, containers and general poor maintenance of the water area could be seen. We would line to re visit this park, but the polluted area must be dealt with.

A great space for young and old to come for a lovely day outside in the fresh air for a walk, run or jog. There is an outdoor gym, walking paths and jungle gym. The staff is always around and feels very safe when I visit the park and the upkeep of the park is good.

This park offers a lovely roughly 2km circular route and outdoor gym equipment that is in good working order for the fitness enthusiast. For families there are shorter loops ypu could walk with little ones on scooters or in prams if you just want a little fresh air. There is also lovely park benches under shade trees with green grass and jungle gyms, perfect for outdoor door gatherings, especially with little ones.

Looks small on the map but it's actually quite a large park, ideal for picnics, a jog, walk your dogs and even working out at their outstanding outside fitness area. The only downside here, is the river or stream area. Seems to be backed up and blocked with litter, so I'm confused why they haven't bothered to clean this up because it's actually beginning to smell. Other than that, nice place for a quiet Sunday stroll.

A well kep park, paved with walking trails and lovely trees and sturdy benches for a great picnic. Grass for ball games. Clean toilets and guards that make it safe. Pets allowed and the park run on Saturdays. Great for birthday parties and events like what I attended. The # King's School Amazing Race.

What a wonderful park with an outdoor gym and beautiful gardens. Special pathways through indigenous fynbos. Lots of tablets to sit and have a picnic. A beautiful hill for the children to play on and roll down. Clean toilets (closes at 16:00) I felt safe there.

A park I have been visiting with my parents while growing up in Bellville. Many happy memories of many things there. Love that a person can be in nature close to home and enjoy the beauty and piece and quiet. A concern though is the fact that there are too little security guards on duty. Another concern that bothers me the most is there are people visiting with their kids and these parents does not teach their children respect for animals or nature, by idly standing by and watching and allowing their children to chase after the guinea fowls and the ducks! That is not right or acceptable, as we are visiting their home, it is also part of a nature reserve. Morality is important and kids needs to learn respect for nature and God's creatures. What do you teach a child when you let him chase animals like that? That its ok to be dis-concerned with the well-being of innocent animals. It only harvests disrespectful uncaring adults later in life. Maybe the park should have some type of program where kids can get more familiar with things in nature and learn stuff and become more caring about the inhabitants of the park.

It's a place where you can walk with your dog, play with your children. People enjoy their lunch hour in the park. They only need a trim park to attract a younger fitness group. The park is for a 5year to a 80 year to enjoy

This is a vey conveniently situated multi-purpose park that is very popular amongst people of all walks of life. However, there are certain maintenance-related concerns that are being neglected totally with disastrous health and safety implications. The little river that runs along the side of the park has been clogged up with rubbish to the extent that it stopped flowing, leaving a stagnant, smelly, green water mass. The birdlife has been eradicated totally, as a result! In addition there is a water leak that is threatening the basket ball pitch. This beautiful addition to the park is in jeopardy!🀨 Authorities, please do something!

Always a good park to go to. There are nice pathways to walk or even jog along. Seating available in the sun and under the trees in shade. There is a public restroom available. Good place to take your dogs for a walk or just to have a picnic. ***NB!*** BE CAREFUL OF CAR JAMMING IN THE AREA! ***

Absolutely love that park been going now for few years. But strangely we got confronted by a security guy and his help that we need to book. Firstly it was a picnic lunch we had after church and to celebrate with my niece for my LATE sister's 50th birthday on that actual day. We wanted to be oht and enjoy the fresh air which we did until they came and spoilt it for us. Soon after that everyone wanted to pack up and leave. So just need to know since when must you book to enjoy the outside with the small kids and have a picnic on the grass??
