My husband and I had the best experience ever at the ocean breeze hotel not only were the staff super friendly, accommodating and assisted immediately with anything we needed. We stayed for a weekend but really did not want to leave. I commend John for the awesome experience given to us, very friendly and lovely person to interact with, thank you so much John you made our experience 10x better

Ocean Breeze Hotel has to be one of the best and most welcoming hotels I've been to. From the view to the cleanliness of the rooms,I had so much fun and the atmosphere is therapeutic. I would recommend it to anyone,that is how exceptional it was being there.😍♥️

Beautiful location right on the beach. But the hotel itself is slight run down, very old and not well kept. Restrooms in reception as dirty, don't flush properly in need of a good clean and paint. Lift is dirty, grime on the hand railings. Reception staff not welcoming. Rooms are old but they are affordable. Ocean basket is on the premises and very convenient. Hotel is mixed as some rooms are privately owned and self catering so the food smells in passage ways isn't too great especially if you don't like what your neighbour is cooking. But overall I would say with some deep cleaning a lick of paint and some jazzing up it could be really great. It definitely needs a make-over! But we enjoyed our stay 4 night were just long enough to really miss home

The rooms are so clean and beautiful 😍 the ocean view from the rooms it's amazing, stuff is so friendly and they have a great hospitality had a great weekend ever.

We were there a month ago and I was not all that impressed unfortunately. The room was very small and very cold. No heater/warmth. They were also renovating some other room so it was extremely noisy with hammering and drilling. I didn't rent straight from the hotel but... Maybe a better option in future. Front desk staff was friendly and polite. Room was just a big disappointment. Luckily I was there with the love of my life and he makes up for everything 😁💋

The rooms have a wonderful view. The chef is the best, he became our friend. Reception guys were always looking after us making sure we are OK. Wow. Please continue to do the same for other people as well. You guys are the best and I recommend anyone to stay with Ocean breeze hotel.

What an amazing stay.rooms are clean.The restaurant downstairs has a happy hour from 18h00 where you can enjoy a sundowner after a nice day out or just a walk on the beach which is just across the road.Well located and plenty to do all around

The place looks amazing on the website and the n reality hits you. The interior is out-dated and needs a face-lift. The hotel reminds me of the 80ties. Not in a "nice way" The restaurants are dissapointing as well. A small swimming pool for a lot of guests. Parking is a huge head ache as cars are parked like sardines. You can hardly open your door. The furniture in our so called lounge area were ugly, dirty and did not complement the apartment at all. Windows were cracked and the shower couldn't close properly. Friendly staff and trying to assist where possible. We will unfortunately not stay here again.

Location is beautiful 😍 Rooms are a bit small, I believe the reason for this could be that we've booked a mountain view room. Room service and the staff at reception were very friendly and helpful.

Cockroaches in the rooms, awful bleach smell in the room. Very dated furniture and room in general. Broken tiles. Unapologetic frontline. It's a shame that a once beautiful place has gone down like this...

Booked into Ocean Breeze Hotel yesterday, and I must say I'm very impressed with the service, and the friendliness of the staff...... would recommend this Hotel to my friends ( very clean)

I am let down with the experience at Ocean Breeze Hotel . Firstly the person who showed me where to park looked so slobby and had no way of speaking to clients . Secondly the pictures advertised on the internet does not come close to what the hotel rooms actually look like , this hotel has so much potential but it's not well looked after , mold on the walls , shower tap and tiles were broken and not even the TV worked . When I called for toiletpaper the receptionist was so unprofessional by asking "Huh" when she could not hear what I've asked for . Definitely won't recommend to family friends or even enemies for that matter .

We made a reservation upon arrival the bathrooms at the reception area were terrible sticky, dirty and not flushed. We decided to go to the Cove restaurant to have dinner before checking in and our order had stale chicken, so after we paid our bill we decided not to sleep at the hotel in fear of another terrible experience.

What a wonderful experience I had from Ocean breeze hotel. Ocean view from bed. Sound of the Ocean wow more specially at night. Apartment was very clean with a kitchen, sitting area & a very comfortable queen bed. Friendly staff at reception & room service. Over all I really enjoyed my stay at Ocean Breeze hotel.

The Senator Boardroom was an ideal venue for the event that was arranged. Appropriate decor and digital and audio visual equipment was available and in good working order. The tea time snacks were tasty and well presented. Janet who ran the event was hands-on and bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. Charlie the banqueting Manager was extremely helpful as well. The prepared lunch was delicious. I highly recommend Ocean Breeze Hotel for events.

I found the service exceptional. The rooms were clean and tidy. The beds were huge. TV in both rooms. Free WiFi with custom generated code at check-in. Room service and food are amazing. Personally, there was a lot of food. We had secure parking. Would book here again

We only stayed one night. The room was perfect and cant complain about that however the room service was appaling. Thank you for nothing. Because after three follow ups nothing came. So dissapointed.

The place was so run down...cockroaches in the rooms, nonsmoking rooms that smell like smoke, dirty linen on arrival, blood stains on bed on arrival and bed bugs are an issue...zero for cleanliness...my room wasn't cleaned for the duration of my stay...would not recommend to anyone

Stayed there from 16th of January to the 4th of February 2023. Overall, it as a lovely experience and I enjoyed the view every morning and evenings. The staff there was fantastic, they always assisted me whenever I called the reception or room service. Special shout to Coco, Thesa, Cassey, Wisdom, Nicole, Daniella and Channey. Those guys from the kitchen, honestly, added the sprinkle to my stay. There was a mature guy who was always at the reception, special thanks to him and to the whole team at large. The Ocean breeze was the best attribute for me, and the rooms were cleaned every day. The breakfast and dinner were also an add on, though I thought the menu was quite limited for 3 weeks.

Clean but stained carpets and curtains, with a cigarette burn mark welcomed us into an otherwise pristine setting overlooking the sundeck, ocean and the boats. The room service was efficient and the food was great. All in all value for money, no more no less... with the local area being a safe hive of activities and possibilities for the couch potato or the ocean and mountaing loving iron man athlete. Always something to do somewhere.

We had such a lovely stay. Friendly service beautiful sea view and the rooms were comfortable and exceptional clean! I would recommend it to anyone. They must just fix the extraction fan in the bathroom otherwise will definitely be back!

The hotel photos are deceiving. Rooms are in such bad repair. Our room, lets start with kitchenette. Nothing matched. Dustbin stank of cigarettes. Pan provided. However no idea on what is was to have cooked on. Toaster placed and plugged in a cupboard, huge fire risk. Wardrobes. Safe, but no key. Old broken cupboard door stored in cupboard. Old cardboard box from tv stored in cupboard. Laminated floor lifting due to water damage. Bathroom. Broken tiles. Little bottles of only the hotel knows what. Shampoo, body wash. Half full- who knows what they are. Bedroom lamps so unstable. We left a day early due to power problems with a substation which would according to staff be only back on line in around 2 days. While there is a generator. It certainly isn't there for the guests except for lights. No plugs that work. No fans that work. Clearly the effort to upgrade the rooms in the past where done on an extremely limited budget. Certainly wasn’t worth the money spent. Would i recommend this hotel and location. Not at all. Hotel is disrepair and beach front reeks of sewerage. As a south African having travelled elsewhere in Africa, extremely disappointing

Absolute worse experience. Had a work function there. Food was possibly the worst I have ever had. Zero service to even speak of. Calling it a 3 star hotel is generous, I think that has to be checked.

The environment is very good and the staff here is neat and tidy. I felt welcomed the moment we arrived. I wish we never left so early😭

At reception all went well ... When I made the booking I asked if the rugby will be screen ... Yes in the bar area they said ... When I got to the bar it took 18 min to sort out the DStv connection as there where other users logged into the bar/restaurant account. The music in the to bar area was very loud that I had to ask the front desk to get them to turn the music just a down so I could listen to the game, as soon as they left the music got turn up again .. so I left. Then the walls in the bath area was so dirty, where you stand and shower, that I could write my name in the filth ... Very disappointed

I am currently in room 112. It is 03:02 in the morning of 2 September 2022 and it is impossible to sleep because of a humming noise in the hotel structure. It sound like a transformer, humming. I tried to listen to the radio, but the moment I put my head down to sleep, this noise penetrates my ears, as if it is in my pillow. I know it is no use to complain this hour of the night, but being 73 years old, there will be no rest for the rest of the night. I cannot recommend this hotel, to anyone, nor visit it again. It's a pity, because the rest of our stay was OK.

Terrible experience! We had to follow up countless times to verify our booking two months ahead of time and then had our booking confirmed by the Director Lee Drake himself, when we arrived late in the afternoon at 6pm, after travelling from East London for the Life Saving Interprovincial Championships, they had no booking for us on their system. After an hour of proving we had made the booking via emails, we were then split up into two different rooms on different floors at the back of the hotel overlooking the noisy generator and water tanks after requesting a family room with a sea view. No apology or explanation or any compensation from the director at all at the time and a week later, shocking customer service and no etiquette for paying guests . The hotel is grimy, only tepid water for showering, no normal tea supplied in rooms and the fridges, bed head rests and carpets in stairway are filthy. It was a untimely, costly and unacceptable experience and we will never be staying there again and do not recommend it at all.

Decent, clean and convenient. Has an ocean basket in the building. Enjoyed my stay here, especially the oceans breeze with the windows open.

Great view, comfortable bed, Netflix TV and helpful staff. Slightly overpriced, and no vending machines for that late night snack. Otherwise, had a good experience

This hotel service is horrendous! There's 'no smoking' 🚭 at each door but people still smoke in the rooms and NOTHING is done about it. We had to call room service, using personal phone because there's no telephone in the room, to ask for towels. Rooms are not cleaned. Elevators are smelly. I really want my money back

I had the worst experience at Ocean Breeze Hotel. I wanted to do something special for my partner. So I called in to ask about staying options and breakfast. The manager lied to me over the phone about breakfast being included in my stay. The following morning they changed the story after I already paid and refused to provide breakfast. They asked me to find proof of what the manager told me, even though they knew I booked via phone because I live far. We were treated terribly and I'd hate to think we weren't accommodated cause of our race. Made our engagement a horrible experience .

The view is amazing, I enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately the service at the Cove was horrible and breakfast might start at 7 but that is when they switch on the coffee machine. Waited 30mins for our first coffee. The hotel itself is not smoker friendly, which for most people is fine. One thing that might bother people is the parking which is not marked at all, no way to know where the parking is unless someone tells you, might want to get a sign up there guys.

Very deceiving photos on the hotels website that make as if all rooms have a sea view which they don't. Very snobby staff at reception that told us we had to pay for sea view after we got a room with no sea view, small room, 2 single beds pushed together to give the impression of a double bed, broken fridge, no oven very poor room we received an on paying an extra 400 for 3 nights for a room with a sea view got a very nice upgraded room with stainless steal fridge and oven and beautiful sea view only after paying extra money and already spent a lot on the first room with an alley way for a view. Very poor and deceiving service from this hotel, only decent place about it was their own private restaurant downstairs next to the lobby. Only recommend if your willing to pay such prices just for a sea view and decent living quarters. House keeping can also be improved, hardly cleaned shower and bathroom found lots of rather unsanitary things lying about the shower area from previous residents. Very noisy renovations when we were staying there as well as maintenance to bathroom doors that could not close and had to forcefully close it and not before the paint started chipping off trying to close the door which left the door in a stat and house keeping never cleaned up after we left for the day and came back.
