Had a celebration meal at the Chef's Warehouse. The food was excellent and fully deserving of praise. It was a cold winter's evening so glad to have taken an extra layer. I'm sure it's delightful in summer. The service was slightly disappointing and lacked the slickness I would expect at the price and level of aspiration they're aiming for. Whilst not bad, some of the timings were off, such as having to ask for the wine list then first course arriving before the wine. It felt a little like service is what suits them rather than their guests. Would certainly recommend though.

The food was tremendous! Something very much out of the ordinary. The decor is more relaxed and didn’t feel like too much like fine dining which was a change. The service was very fast with good and knowledgeable waitron. It is essential to book and there isn’t really much of a menu past the 8 course set menu. Over all a very special experience and it will be comparatively cheap for foreigners.

5 start service! The staff are incredibly welcoming and the view is sheer heaven. Chefs Warehouse serve up and incredible lunch. 8 courses shared by two people served two plates at a time. One of our group had the pescatarian menu and found it simply delicious.

Absolutely beautiful and delicious food (Oysters were our favourite). Complimentary bread and homemade butter was a great touch. Best view in Cape Town, bring a jacket for when the sun goes down. We were happy they have beer on tap. Awesome and friendly staff. Tip: Very difficult to get and Uber after supper.

A little slice of heaven, we had the sharing tapas lunch which was excellent. The food, staff and view are absolutely out of this world. We then stayed one night at the Ithaca Suite which was magical, the rooms is perfect and right on the ocean. Everything about this place is next level and although it’s insanely expensive, it’s worth it for a once off or special occasion.

I came to the restaurant and did not stay overnight (I wish I had). The set menu was delicious and paired with some very nice Chardonnay. The location and setting play a huge role in the whole experience. I enjoyed the shuttle all the way down the mountain to the secluded hotel.

One of the most beautiful locations you can imagine. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent and the experience worth every penny. So sad Boris Johnson is preventing his subjects in the UK from enjoying this incredible venue. At least us locals can!! Definitely a must for anyone's bucket list.

This Location literally has a view that takes One’s Breath away. A super amazing experience. The Menu by Chef Cameron Smith is good, however at times I felt that there were too many flavors clashing for prominence. Food presentation V good. I will certainly recommend this Hotel as a destination

Celebrating my 40 birthday at this venue was nothing short of magical! From the get go, Sinako and her team were warm, welcoming and proffessional, executing a perfectly planned dinner and event! The CW team blew us way with a menu that delivered more than our expectations ! It doesnt get much better than this in Cape Town !

Took my mother there to celebrate her 90th birthday. Could not have been a better choice. Stunning location overlooking Hout Bay with the waves a couple of meters away, the windows open, and the ozone smell of sea and fresh kelp. Food was inventive, really unusual, stunningly tasty, and impeccably presented. Service was attentive, friendly, perfect. A memorable meal. Very highly recommended.

Food is good, but well below other fine dining in Cape Town. You’re paying for the location, which is indeed stunning. They systematically do not deduct your deposit from the check, which is a misleading and disappointing practice for a high-end restaurant. Manager didn’t see to care much about that.

This is the most perfect small boutique hotel. Everything about this hotel is literally perfect. If I return to S.A. I will stay here for my entire trip. There's really no other place in the world like it.

This drop-dead gorgeous spot is worth every cent. Adventurous seafood-based tapas but not too way out, everything is beautifully presented, and the view can’t be beat. Delightful professional service. The outdoor patio next to the water is heavily dependent on Cape Town’s notoriously changeable weather (wind or rain) though, but I’d still take a chance — table bookings open two months ahead so you have to jump on it. My only regret is I couldn’t stay overnight.

What a special place in every way🤩 The location, the views and the food are best in class. The staff need a special mention. They are so friendly and all work so well as a team. Their goal is make this the best ever experience you can have. This is a must on anyone's list.

After a few dinners, lunches and a wedding at this magical place my overall takeaway is a clear 5star experience. Truely attentive and professional staff and managers that never hesitate to go out of their way to provide that little extra to make you truely feel comfortable and cared for. Food is on par with service and views. As evident by all the pictures, the setting is truely unique right by the water, which also means it can get a little chilly if the wind picks up - bring something warm :D Uber and similar pickups can be tricky at night so plan accordingly.

The only terrible thing about Tintswalo on Hout Bay is that it is so peaceful, the views so stunning, the staff so incredibly kind and attentive, that you will not want to leave to explore Cape Town. We did so reluctantly but we were always so happy to come back to Tintswalo after our day's adventure. Jonathan was a star, ever so nice to all of us, but especially to my parents, who we all now call Mama and Papa because he did so. We will never forget him. Lamla , at breakfast, always was so friendly and kind. We all wish him the very best in anything he hopes to pursue! Tracey was so helpful with recommendations, calling to see if we could visit a cricket stadium, and tips for what to do in Cape Town. Everyone was just SO nice. Thank you guys for ending our memorable holiday on such a high note. We won't soon forget your hospitality.

Shocker! Wonderful location but no idea how to deliver a 5 star experience. We arrived for a 2 night stay to a room with no hot water and no Wi Fi. Cold showers on day 1 and day 2 in the morning in Winter. They told us they had given up trying to fix the hot water and there was no manager on duty! Following morning we packed up, made alternative arrangements, ready to leave early. During breakfast they managed to fix the hot water but not Wi Fi. We said we’d unpack and stay if they refunded our night but they flat out refused offering a complimentary night which we didn’t want. Unreal considering the circumstances so we left anyway. After some complaining and a few very damaging reviews in closed groups, they finally offered a refund on the first night but not the second when we didn’t even stay there, what a joke! They even made false claims about having offered complimentary spa treatments. This is our third trip there and second very poor experience since the first trip also landed up with them giving us a complimentary stay. Never again. Go to the restaurant to enjoy the location, don’t stay in the hotel, there are much better hotels in Cape Town.

The setting is just out of this world, probably one of the most scenic places I have ever had dinner. The food is in general pretty nice with the usual ZA variety, though some dishes were surprisingly bland. Drinks are however a strong asset here. Well worth a detour from CT!

Amazing 👏🏼 😍🥳🍾 Tintswalo is like what we call "Heaven on Earth". We had our wedding there at the 22.02.2022 and Melissa the Generalmanager helped us so much. They did and Amazing Job to organise all and make our day so special ❤️ Everything was perfect, from the first moment when we arrived with our Family. They view is stunning and so also the rooms 😍 we spend 4 more nights there. This place is truly one of those “special” places you come across only a few times in your life. Our stay was almost magical and the staff, particularly the House Manager Tracey, was so friendly and helpful. I couldn’t rate this high enough. So highly recommend.

Great location and good food at Chef’s Warehouse The location is top notch. You sitting right on the ocean with fantastic food. Basically they could serve anything and it would still be 5 star. However: the food is 5 star as well. And great service, too. Highly recommended!
