Great skate park if you skate (any kind with wheels) not too difficult level... (small drops) So perfect for beginners and anyone trying to up their skill levels. Small adjacent play park for kids that don't skate. A small soccer field and a Basketball court. Fantastic safe and clean inner city spot for the kids (and big kids) The walk along the pristine canal and indigenous garden paths is also pretty awesome. Close to toilets. Walking distance from the V&A. Close to a few shops and specifically a skate shop... Free Parking on the weekends. Free Wifi

Beautiful location, lovely venue for kids and families. The security is pleasant to chat to. Arranging a gathering is easy but communication seemed to have lost its way in this case. It could have been a five star.

This is the new and I must say Cape Town needed a new outdoor place for the youth. The design team made really planned the space well. Bonus the Cafe at the bottom makes the best chips...

Very attractive and a pleasure to take a leisurely stroll there. Balmoral, an excellent general convenience store with a good selection of takeaways to choose from and also hot snacks, was the highlight. Also a skatepark and a waterway.

A great environment for alternative sports and a fun place for kids and adults alike. There are plenty lunch spots and cafés around the corner. V&A Waterfront is a walking distance away. Plenty of secure, paid parking with security presence. Wheelchair friendly. There are often sporting events happening in and around the area. Take your family and enjoy!

Love this spot. It’s so great. The grass area was not available so we couldn’t play soccer. Bathrooms are well kept. Skatepark is in good order. Nice that there are security keeping everyone safe.

Brilliant but not utilised to it's full potential... soccer poles was locked together could not use it... I feel like the park needs a little life.... the location and facility is fantastic but the park needs more... since I left the weekend my mind has been so full of ideas that could turn this great park into an amazing place that everybody not only want to visit but they will feel like they need to... also a place that could create jobs and play a factor in improving our economy.

Cool spot for a free outing to keep the kids busy. There's a basket ball court, skate park and picnic type areas for you to relax while the offspring run amok. There are restrooms downstairs as well as a few restaurants if you need some nourishment or refreshment. Just don't go when it's windy 🙂

In the very frequented V & A Waterfront neighborhood, Battery park is a place for young people to spend time outdoors, ride bicycles and skateboards, compete in a game of basketball or simply hang out with friends.

Really nice safe open space for all ages. The basketball court needs some kind of system so that everyone gets a chance to play. The smaller kids don’t get a chance cz the big kids take over the court

Great fun but the video showing beginner skating aids were not available. This is a little misleading and staff were not always available to help even though we asked several times. Also no toilets within the facility so you had to take off your skates and go upstairs in the parking lot.

Really amazing facilities for everyone. Skatepark is super fun but small. Can get very crowded at times. We need more of these parks around Cape Town. Something for the whole family. Thanks V&A waterfront.

Battery Park is a great family friendly Bike and Skate Park with close proximity to the Balmoral Café. Perfect to go and have a picnic while the kids ride bike on the ramps, skate at skatepark or even play basketball.
