Windy at start of walk on Tafelberg road, but sheltered from wind as we headed toward Devils peak. Peaceful and best views of Cape Town.

Best (easy) route to climb table mountain. Begin with Devil's Peak hike and continue with Platteklip Gorge when it crosses. Beautiful scenery with green plants, rocky cave, mini waterfall, tree covered pathways and of course the beautiful view of Cape Town. There is absolutely no big rocks to climb and definately no 1000ds of rocky stairs to climb. Trust me, Platteklip Gorge is a nightmare for unfit people. In my experience, we always end up short on water. The one climb on a cloudy day was more enjoyable than the scorching sun but terrible at the top. Watch out for strong winds and slippery rocks. In the end, it is worth the view.

A steep hike approximately taking 2 hours to reach the top. The 360 view from the top is stunning and makes the hike worth it. Careful coming back down because there are slippery sections and it’s best to wear proper hiking shoes instead of takkies.

The trail is easy to follow. Quite steep, but not as steep as Plattekloof gorge. Great views over Cape town's Waterfront and Table mountain. It was windy and a bit cloudy when we reached the top.

A fairly doable hike that most people would enjoy. Beautiful 360 degree views of the City, Cape Town city bowl, Signal hill, Lion's head and Table Mt. Just make sure you've got enough water and snacks to enjoy on your way to the top of the mountain.

Great place for a peaceful walk, run, hike or cycle. Stunning views and tarred road for a very long time so don't even need active wear.

Took a cycle up Table mountain road today. Roadworks need to come out and check the condition of the pedestrian road at the end of Table mountain road. It needs upgrading guys..tourist's are walking here..I passed a couple of tourists using walking sticks and there's no seating along this area for them..come on guys.. we can do better than that?!

πŸ‘πŸ‘ One of South Africa’s most done routes (with Lion’s Head as its competitor). I suggest that this 7 wonder route be a bucket list route. Some people start early and they run it up and down before sunrise. However, I believe that if you take it nice and slow, even an unfit person can enjoy this scenic...
