The trails are so wonderful and unique to walk! So grateful to have this reserve and conservation area near by.

The reserve is small but the views are great. You can see most of Cape Town on a good day and there is a picnic area mid-way up the hill to sit and relax. Trails are perfect for running or a long walk/hike. Putting them all together or doing a few laps it’s easy to squeeze in a nice 10km trail run with some savage hill climbs. A must visit. Usually paid entrance but currently free and under renovation. Generally not that busy and very safe.

The hike here is one of the easiest hikes in Cape Town. Not much effort really is needed and very good for people who want to try out hiking. There are several picnic spots and the signs suggests there are animals but I didn’t see one. If you go for animals you might be disappointed but if you’re going for a good time with a really good view of Cape Town, definitely check it out!

What a wonderful gem this is, though hidden away deep in Tygerberg. The paths are well marked and while difficult, it is acceptable for use by wheelchair users. There are well-maintained toilets on site and the view of Cape Town is amazing. There is plenty of free parking available but it's best to get there early because it fills up quickly. The shaded picnic areas are a blessing - especially in the summer heat. Bring refreshments as the only vending machine on site is pretty expensive.

We loved the hiking trails. We would start our day with a different hike. From kid friendly routes to more difficult. Kept clean and friendly staff. Nice picnic area. Really worth it.

Was very pretty and such a good little hike. Pretty views along the way too. Needed to manage my expectations of breaking away into nature as one could still hear cars and such but given its location, it's logical. Otherwise, was great and safe.

Our second walk here. It was fun and clean. I think it is quite well maintained and lots of shade and walking options. The walks are not too strenuous and good for kids. I'll definately walk here again.

It was refreshing, a little exercise. Beautiful view. Was there for an assignment, but it was too dry, couldn't find the animals i needed for my assignment. But all in all it was an awesome experience. You should try it, the hike is okay, there's a picnic spot as well for your date😊😊😊

This was our third hike at this nature reserve. Our goal is to complete them all :) The route was well demarcated and easy to follow but quite steep towards the end. The nature reserve was well kept and best part was being at a point where one could see both Strand beach and Greenpoint stadium at the same time! Magnificent views. Beautiful & quiet with just the sounds of nature to keep you company along the trail. Highly recommend 👌

Awesome trail for hike/run/walk. Close to the city. Safe and security controlled fenced park area. There's even a bird watching area. The side circular trails offers a different adventure with special unique views if you explore off the main paths.

Upper Golden Mole: Firsts things first, there is no shade on this trail so in the summer a hat is a must. Secondly, in the winter I think the rain is going to make this one very slippery if I look at the ruts on some of the inclines. Other than that, the trail is in excellent condition. Nice and broad to pass easily. The one thing I wasn’t prepared for was the incline towards the end. Had a nice burn in my calfs afterwards. But once you reach the tower it starts to level out again so don’t let that discourage you. PS: There are nice parking at the gate but not a lot so come early or be prepared to start your hike much earlier, further down the road.

This is where you can see the whole Cape Town area. You can drive near the top, and now you can get in for free. It is 20 minutes walk from the parking lot to the top and must be punctual because the door can be locked over time.

Wonderful return to nature. The hike was amazing.. the view was breathtaking BUT the TICKS are a serious problem, especially in the picnic area.

Great for trail running, there's also a picnic area which is really cute. It's R30 entrance, but if you drive to Majik forest, the entry is free.

This I will definitely recommend for the nature enthusiast-enjoy a rigorous hike, a nature walk, the bird life, pack a picnic basket the views are breath taking. And the people you meet along the many routes are very friendly.

Nice safe place to walk or run with the family. Hilly and hot in summer so go early in the morning or late afternoon. Yearly pass is affordable if you go often. Picnic area up at the top with toilet facilities

Wow! If you like birds, load a app beforehand that can identify different bird calls, heard some unique ones but don’t have a clue what bird it was…inredable views, plants, nice walk too!

This place has a telescopic view that is second to none. The beauty of the Peninsula hits you in your face as it's absolutely breathtakingly picturesque. The weather condition were also awesome on the day.
