Lovely, regularly updated art. Displays a variety of South African art pieces. There are also ever changing class programs where you can make resin art, sculptures and even etchings.

We went on 28 May to visit the exhibition of unglazed ceramic works on at the gallery till 18 June. It was fascinating! Beautifully set out with explanations and examples of the various naked clay techniques such as raku, obvara, agate, burnishing and slip casting, as well as saggar firing (amazing!) . We learnt a lot and came away with some gorgeous purchases from the exhbition, but that was not all to see in the museum as there were displays of other examples of ceramics to be admired and explored. The extraordinarily helpful gentleman on duty directed us to an equally wonderful exhibition elsewhere in the building, When Wild Woods Whisper, which we visited after a restorative cappucino in the excellent cafe in the building (a whisky drinkers' paradise too by the look of the bottles on display). These two exhibitions together make a truly awesome experience, so do yourself a favour and don't wait till it's too late to catch them both!

Great gallery. Beautiful setting. Friendly staff and... awesome work. Both ceramic and other contemporary work by south african artist. Don’t miss out the markets too.

What a beautiful place in a beautiful setting. Took a leisurely stroll through the art gallery. I have always enjoyed the exhibitions hosted here. Sat down outside under a magnificent oak tree for a delicious cappucchino. Service friendly and good and the menu looks like it is worth going back for. Will definitely try it soon.

This is a relatively unknown hide away that serves great food, snacks and drinks (their whiskey library is unique) throughout the day. You must try it.

Great ambience and setting. Friendly staff and tasty food. But I suggest warm or hot plates because my rice got cold too quickly

😐 We were greeted at the gate by the park ranger who is there over weekends from 9am. Entrance was free of charge and the reserve consists of a handful short trails (all less than 1km). The reserve gives nice views of the Durbanville Race Course. In terms of bird life species we saw Cape Sparrow, Sout...
