Absolutely the most beautiful place, incredible atmosphere. Good coffee and the lemon meringue is the BEST I have ever eaten.

Thee most beautiful coffee shop/antique shop you will ever see with the most delicious foods, cakes and drinks. Do yourself a favor and make sure to visit. You will treasure every step taken inside and most definitely walk out with something in your hands.

This place has an "old" beautiful charm to it. So many vintage collection to view at. Many are for sale too. You can get lost viewing each item😍 The menu is limited in terms of variety for breakfast, however the atmosphere and the charm of the place makes up for it. Our waitron was friendly and attentive, overall the staff is friendly and engaging especially in terms of the vintage collection on offer😍💯

12th April 2023 Again had the most fantastic quiche, cheesecake and coffee at my favourite place Boere Sjiek!! ♥️ The staff is always so welcoming and there is more to see and experience in this Beautiful Gift/ Coffee Shop. All the food and drinks is jummy !!😉 2022 FABULOUS!! Always take my Visitors to Cape Town for a wonderful experience at Boere Sjiek... Friendly staff, good food, lots to see and buy. A place to make memories with family and friends ❣️

Very eclectic and a bit over the top for me personally but will appeal to the right audience. Didn’t have a look at their merchandise, but the food and service was excellent and the portions well priced and more than generous. Flowers on the table were a bit much for the allegory prone like myself.

Very nice spot to meet for a girls coffee date. The ladies are friendly and helpful. Really a interesting shop with some old preloved gems for sale

What a delightful little gem in the most unexpected place! Going there makes you feel like a great old dame more then boere meisie... Lol. A real blast from the past that takes you back to yesteryear in grandma's or great aunty's home. While taking it all in you can experience a light bite or a refreshing drink at there sit down restaurant all enveloped in the ambiance of a Hollywood set from the black and white era. Food was fresh & tasty.... But the cakes are an absolute must! We had the salted caramel corn cheesecake. Yum yum... It looks super sweet but surprisingly not. Very well balanced with the topping being sweet & the neutral cheesecake light & fluffy.

A fascinating treasure trove of antiques and collectibles surrounding tables where delicious breakfasts, mid-morning teas and light lunches are served. There is so much to see that a single visit is not enough to take everything in. This is a step back into yesteryear and we had a really great morning.

A great experience in an industrial area. The decor is awesome, as is the food. Its a smallish menu that caters for most tastes at a reasonable price. The food was delicious. The savoury mince pancake and the salted caramel cheesecake are both highly recommended. The quiche is also delicious. Love the coffee too. The hosts are very friendly and the service good.

My family had a very disturbing experience,my wife and daughter had to wait half an hour before assisted and was commented we did not know you gonna sit down while focus was on a caucasian couple across them with humility and patience. The atmosphere was very unwanted for them and felt "out of place". My father on another occasion was told by a staff member you need reservations to enter and is only for the rich elites, whereby i know entry is for all and free. This is unacceptable manner of this establishment that makes it feel like its only as the name says "BOERE SJIEK" Yours truly Disgusted

I was very disappointed. I usually go there to have cake with my friend and then I take piece of cake on takeaway for my husband and my friend takes a piece for her husband. And don't get me wrong thier cake is delicious but I was told I am not allowed to take a takeaway on a Saturday which makes no sense to me at all. I used to do this all the time and suddenly i am not allowed to...After asking if I could order cake and not eat it and then do a takeaway the lady's attitude changed and she became very miserable...didn't smile once after that and very neverminded put the cake on my table with a takeaway box next to it. I did not appreciate her attitude and since no one bothered to explain why I can suddenly not have a takeaway on a Saturday I don't understand why...they still make the same amount of money...

One don't expect a place like Boere Sjiek Gifts in the area. A pleasant surprise and many long forgotten items to find in this shop. It takes you back into time and stirs the longing for a time long gone. Don't forget about the lovely cake variety. It is costly but worth it.

What a beautiful place...Everything i love with everything i want to remember from my childhood...Mamma se hoed tot Mamma se teekoppie...Memories of my grandmother's painting of the famous swan to a picture of possibly my grandmother...only at Boere Sjiek. I went home happy...🤗
