Clearing some clutter today and took it to Cash Converters Cape Gate. It was close to closing time, fair enough, but it's no reason to be rude. I had quite a bit of stuff and asked the lady to come and check, my bakkie was parked right in front of their door, but she rudely refused. I had to unload everything, just for them to lowball me on absolutely everything. Some things I was told they will not take as they cannot test it, although they have equipment to test, tbis points to pure laziness. Also, the lady was just rude in general, right down to her tone of voice. Honestly, I would rather take my clutter to the dump next time, much less aggravation... Sales side is stellar though, procurement side can learn from them....

Previously posted a review about buying an Armani watch from the store which turned out to be fake, the store took it back (without and apology or complaint which was fine). I decided to give the store a second chance. Immediately looked to the watch section and see the watch back up for sale.

The most unhelpful staff i've ever come across. After ten minutes of trying to explain how a DisplayPort works to deaf ears while trying to sell my 4K monitor, I've given up. The staff did not even seem to try and understand. Pathetic. I will sell my goods to individuals on social media that have some sense of understanding. Complete waste of time.

Bought a second hand name brand watch from the store. Turned out to be a fake. To the stores credit, they did allow for the return without complaint. Still, would not buy something there with the confidence of knowing it was a genuine product.

Glad they dis a revamp and moved the cluttered racks around. It seems the shop has more glow to it and I am not constantly bumping into people. The store has a lot of juck, perhaps too much of certain items that have been there for years gathering dust. They do however have a great variety and sell at semi decent prices. Overall not bad and will return to inspect te stock whenever I am around.

Your music Dvd's and CD's are way more expensive than other branches. Is there a reason for it? All your music DVD's are around R59-00 and up while at other branches they are selling for R10 to R20 for exactly the same product. Can you give me a reason why your DVD's and some CD's are so pricy?

I was at your store today getting more boards. So pleased I found the last 5. Sadly your manager was quite rude and condescending. A few of my clients have had their cards cllonednso I requested to do my own card transactions. She actually laughed and said well maybe you should go back to cash

It's a great store and I visit it quite regularly. They have a huge range of items available and buy in new things all the time so there is a constant flow of quality 2nd hand items on the shelf.

I always love coming here, Sometimes I would come and browse the wide variety of products in the store and always finds something I want to buy. They have a good returns policy which they stand by, I always pop in when in the area. The assistance on the shop floor needs some improving, other than that, I love this place

Arrogant , over priced and not the bargain store we once knew.. Be careful, many items are above retail price or almost on retail prices (yes, for well used second hand goods.. many are incomplete items too).. Why would you charge premium prices for second hand well worn helmets, walkie talkies with debris, goods without accessories which is needed to operate it,monitors with scratches,and so many takealot returns? The stickers are even on the packaging.. I use to walk out there with loads of goods. but changed my mind after today.. Oh yes, and another thing which is making you lose customers is all the chinese goods you sell from Milnerton.. Much of it is inferior quality... Remember one thing: today you are up there, tomorrow you might have to close doors due to customers avoiding your store.

The phone number on the Google does not work. It rings and gets answered by a automated operator, then it does not matter what option you select, it just rings again for 40 seconds and then hangs up. There are also no other alternate e-mail/contact for this store.

A bit pricy for a cash converters. Sometimes more expensive than other suppliers New. Occasionally I find a well priced item. It looks like they Google prices and as such you won't find bargains, but every now and then you might save a few bucks..

It will be the last time that I will buy something from you I pay cash I don't buy on credit and you want to force me to give my ID number never will i do that nor my phone number then the lady at the till tells me she is not lis to swear because i refuses stuff you

Do not buy any electronics from them. Especially laptops. They tell you that there is a 6 months repair warranty but when you take it back they tell you sorry they cannot help you. They will not see me again
