Another dissapointing experience at this Mcdonalds. Have not written about anything before but they really just do not seem to want to do good business so giving a review now. If you want to be dissapointed make sure to go here. Getting order wrong once again and then this is the amount of chips we got....with a cooldrink leaking all over the place. Thanks Mcdonalds Okovango. Great South African service as can be expetced.

Can't say I would recommend this outlet to anyone wanting the convenience of quality controlled and convenient fastfood. They certainly do not live up to any of it. This was also not the first incident. Furthermore, McDonalds South Africa chose to abdicate from the issue and refer it back to the outlet, with no real resolution. I had to insist on the owner's number to phone him myself! Needless to say they won't see me again. Their version of a Big Mac in photos with no lettuce, hint of onion, hint of sauce, and ONE gherkin slice!

I don't have any specific complaints just one of a vibe deficit lacking from the team, the greetings sloppy the attention to detail is clearly lacking, no smiles and I kind of get the sense of low moral from the staff and it's reflected in the food and service delivery. Normally one wouldn't be bothered by this but it kind of makes me think twice about going back their. sorry guys

Staff is professional, friendly and the place looks clean and neat from outside. From the person taking the order, to the payment of the product there was only happyness. We went through drive-thru and got what we ordered so that's a something good. Service was quick and no time wasting.

The drive thru staff are for the most part acceptably friendly, but FALSE ADVERTISING when it comes to being open 24 hours!! They close the entire parking lot off at all sides and that includes McDonald's even though their banner FALSELY proclaims their 24hr drive thru availability.

I am done with McDonald's okavango's unfriendly staff I understand when you run out of products/toys that the children want.but the tone of voice when telling a payment customer should be up to par Fix this or Okavango will be losing a lot of customers

Totally disgusting food!! We ordered using Uber Eats. The burger rolls were old and both burgers and chips were ice cold. The first delivery did not get the order correct and we had to wait nearly 40 minutes before we received the redelivery of this horribly disappointing meal. I have uninstalled my Uber Eats app and will definitely not use McDonald's Okavango again.

I don't usually go to the extent of writing a review but todays experience was exceptionally dissapointing. Our order was stone cold on arrival. The fries tasted like it was from yesterdays batch. Our burgers which were supposed to have onions and extra mayo but arrived with a single slice of gherkin and nothing else. To put the cherry on top we ordered the iced coffee that comes with the (homestyle) doughnut. What arrived was literally a piece of dry tasteless bread/dough. No sugar, no glaze no nothing. I've had some bad experience with standards with this establishment but this one was by far the worst.

Everything was fine with order. But when i got to pay there was nou reaction. The person was talking to other staff and taking orders but i was not helped or said if there was a problem. Waited almost 5 min before before i could pay and NO explanation given. BAD

Macdonalds, the self-proclaimed 24-hour haven for hunger, left me with an appetite for truth! I embarked on a nocturnal McNugget quest only to find golden arches hidden in the shadows of closure. Ronald, you've got some explaining to do – 24 hours or not, my midnight cravings were met with a McDisappointment!

Friendly staff, great at answering my questions 😁 me redeeming my points the how to from the McDonald's app🤫💯 I got a free meal😄 Big Mac meal. Poof my points are gone but it was worthed. Was no queue maybe due to the time, ordered just after 5pm. Food was fresh and the Cajun chicken tenders was delicious 😋 First time trying it and it was tender🙂. Just a little bit small for my liking, maybe my expectations or my tummy expected more😅 R19.90 for 2 pieces👍

I ordered two strawberry milkshakes over an hour ago. I live less than 2km from this branch. McDelivery says that my order has already been delivered. It has not. I have called 6 times and no one is answering the phone. Would not order from here again.

They say all Mc D's taste the same. Not true, had some horrible experiences, but not at this branch. Always on point. even when the queue is long, they are very efficient and never compromise on quality.

We always have a good experience at this McDonald's. We haven't eaten here properly yet but we've gotten takeaways and sat inside having McFlurrys etc., and staff are always friendly. It's a clean, good branch, although the drive-through is a bit tight for our liking.

Edited Post. From 1 star to 3, I got a grascious call from a very good representative of Mcdees even though he adviced me not to change anything I had to. When you get missing items 3 times consecutive you know something is wrong either with the people or management because the owner i met once and he expects quality. They gave the phone to the person who packed my order to dispute the case against me that the items were missing. Its degrading when you sit at the table and you are busy eating with a missing happy meal and a toddler unhappy. What a terrible experience. Doesnt deserve a star even. So what am I to do? I canceled the happy meal over Uber and re order it having to pay all the extra fees again.

I have had bad experiences with this branch multiple times. Their hours are what the staff decide, they send you away before closing time to make sure they leave early. The food is old and cold. Half the time they don't have stock of things and it's always dirty with papers littering the counters. When you log a complaint nothing happens.

Food was fresh and very good portions. Service could improve, staff talk to much among each other in their african language instead of finishing a customer order. Atmosphere ok, but delivery drivers sitting and standing all over the place..other than that, an overall good experience 😉

I understand that it says 10pm on Google, however, when you are physically THERE it has a 24hour sign outside...either adjust times or remove sign. It causes for some confusion...

Great service, I usually put a R700 order when I go to this Mc'D and their service is always great. You always see the managers on the floor, overseeing the kitchen staff. Very clean. 10/10

The lady who assisted me welcome me and showed me the McDonald's app which gave me free burger She told me the benefits of having the app. Very lovely and friendly staff you have there. She stays in Guguletu, she just finished her internship. That's her she really is brand conscious and very informative 👏

I ordered over an hour ago and my order nevee arrived, yet on the app it says delivered. You guys are scammers and now you are not picking up your phone. What a waste of my time. I will never order from you again. Now I will go to bed hungry because of your incompetence.

They have power during loadshedding. Orders are always correct which is a big up from their chicken competition in Pinehurst.

My wife just bought a family share bag for dinner ,and it is the worst McDonald's iv ever seen the bigmac has a drop of sauce on it and 1 slice of gerkin ,it just looks dry like a burger that stood open overnight Very disappointed

I was at MacDonalds Okovango, Durbanville on the 10th December 2022 at 20:29. My order number was 248. While standing in the queue, a drunk male and 2 drunk females were consuming Bernini in the queue while ordering their food. It took a while that I had to ask another cashier to assist me. They 3 eventually made there order and went to sit by the table where 3 Macdonalds staff was seated. No one done anything and all this while young kids were in the queue ordering food. I eventually requested to speak to the manager who spoke to the drunkards. I thought Macdonalds was a family restaurant for kids and no alcohol was allowed. Clearly this is not the case as the stores CCTV footage will proof that alcohol is allowed to be consumed on there premises. Sad state of affairs but I will to enter Macdonalds again.

No this is just pathetic. Menu prices outside says family sharebox is R199... but they have no fries or nuggets! Drove to a diffrent mcdonalds where they advertised same meal for R202 outside on menu but paid R212 and recieved COLD food. Okavango and Durbanville mcdonalds are not worth the visit!!! Rather go somewhere else as Mcdonalds in the Durbanville area are clearly not worried about customer service and correct prices.

My order: three plain ice creams in a cup Price: R68. How!? I asked for the same amount of ice cream that would've been put in a cone. And asked that it be put in a cup since I was driving back home. How do 3 cups of ice cream come up to over R60?? And no, I didn't ask for a sundae. I asked for plain ice cream. In a cup. And then to make matters worse, my card declines about 3 times because who can afford 3 cups of plain ice cream for over R60???? The cashier attempts to tap my card again and again, each tap is withdrawing R5 due to the card declining. How on earth??? I am very confused with how the basic order went so wrong!

Bit of a shocker actually, we decided to eat in the restaurant... it wasnt too busy but as usual dominated by Uber eats drivers etc...now normally Macdonalds food is quick...we sat and waited for ages... my son had ordered an apple juice - they gave him orange juice and said sorry we gave your apple juice away and there was no more... i understand there is a dependency or a service level agreement with Uber but this would appear to be their priority and the overall experience was not good #NotRecommend

Sign out that says 24 hours...it is 5:45 2710/22 and the drive through is closed! False advertising at its best! Would give zero stars if i could!

HORRIBLE experience at McDonalds Okavango!!!! Will never support them again. Went to get dinner for my mom and I, went through the drive-through. Stood in the queue forever, came up to the thing where you order, gave my order 4 times and she said I can drive up to the next window. I came up to the window to pay, to find two female workers sharing a kiss and then the lady said she does not have my order. I repeated the order at least 10 times and she still did not have it. I asked her what the problem is and she ignored me. I then told her to leave it and drove away. What is so difficult to order two meals?!??! Their service is beyond disappointing.

Granted it busy... But my Kiddies meal was minus a juice. Attention to detail is required please.

Obviously, again (3rd time this has happened at this branch). Get home to discover a Big Mac burger missing from the order. Tried phoning 6 times, no answer. Worst McDonalds.

Not a good experience at McDonald's. I ordered a simple cheeseburger meal, the fries were ok, but the burger was so dry, with no sauce and only 1 slice of gerkin on. The other thing is, I chose to have a sit down meal, and there were a lot of Uber/Takealot and other delivery guys there in the sit down area, in and out of the toilets. Wasn't a good experience.
