Food was good and service was great. The sushi was excellent. The dimsum very average. The noodles were good too. Will be back to try other dishes!

Great find for sushi lovers. Excellent food and service during the week whilst Sam was around, but on Sunday we had poor service and the food was not the same. The phrase for Sunday is Same Same but Different on a Sunday. Well that was our experience for the ten days we stayed at the waterfront and frequented this restaurant four times during our stay. First visit on the Saturday, second on Sunday and we got disappointed. Wednesday whilst walking around we saw Sam and gave it a try again and wow, what a difference. Fourth was Thursday and surprisingly heard one of their regular customers talking to Sam and they said they come all the time but avoid Sunday. This place has the best sushi we had in SA and would definitely recommend to others.

Always have a great sushi here. Be prepared to wait sometime for a table, unless you’re willing to sit at the bar which is decently comfortable actually. Desserts are amazing too! Only thing I didn’t really enjoy here is tempura prawns, too little prawns in it for my liking. Also there’s a lovely grocery shop inside with very interesting things.

Very busy and noisy place, there are queues. Delicious Asian cuisine, moderate prices. Large portions, very satisfying, but the food is heavy. The main target audience of the restaurant is young people.

Food was generally over seasoned and salty. Sauce was overpowering. We ordered the wasabi mayonnaise prawn "tempura". The prawn was very disappointing. Having said this, the portion size was great. But quality was too poor that I wouldn't recommend for a visit.

Best sushi, delicious English style fish and chips and the Portuguese grilled Sardine starter was so so tasty! To get a table quicker, avoid peak times and opt for a seat at the bar where you can watch the chef's expertly preparing the meals.

It’s located inside a mall - so the location by default is not great The seafood was fresh, and the portions very good. The catalogue is massive with classics but also their “twisted” versions of rolls and sushi etc Can’t say it is authentic Japanese - but I can say everything I had was exceptional in freshness and taste. Good value for money Would def recommend even if you go to the shopping centre just for this restaurant.

I recently had an amazing dining experience at Willoughby & Co. The food was fantastic, especially the top-notch sushi and the mouthwatering fried calamari. However, I wasn't impressed with the chicken noodles compared to the outstanding sushi. I would recommend avoiding the chicken noodles or adjusting your expectations accordingly. Overall, it's a nice place with great food and fresh beer. Keep in mind that they don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait in line for a table during busy evenings or weekends.

My boyfriend a I visited on Sunday 10/9/23 at about 14:00. There was a small line waiting to be seated. There was a woman who handed out wine tasting samples. I went to the loo and my boyfriend waited in the line. When I got back the woman skipped and ignored him completely and gave out samples to guest behind him. Would like to believe this was by mistake. We ordered the dragon roll which includes smoked eel. There was one sushi roll where we could see the fish bones quite easily. We sent it back but unfortunately the waiter came back and said he tried to get us a fresh roll but the chef declined and torched the sushi roll and sent it back. This was unfortunately disappointing as the bones were perhaps soften by the torching but for the high price you pay you would expect a fresh roll.

Nicely presented fresh fish. Really recommend the grilled kingklip and the 4x4 (excellent creamy rock shrimp rolls)

Really great place to eat. Great food and great service It's inside the mall, so do not expect a sea view. At popular times be prepared to queue a bit but it is worth it...

Can’t fault it. Attentive care, also in the queue before entering (which moves quickly!), people here seem happy to work here-together. We were taken care of by Alexia (I might be mistaken a bit on the spelling forgive me) and she really made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing or rushed. The dishes we ordered came out quickly and tasted very (very) good. In my opinion it is a bit weird to have dinner in what is basically a mall, but really, who am I to judge- especially with the quality and care put into their metier here.

Definitely some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten more than my fair share. The fish is really fresh and service was amazing, very happy staff even though it was busy. Not to be missed if you’re in the area.

Just stellar. The food is magnificent. The sushi and the grilled calamari and prawns are a killer. I’ve been here 7 days in a row and still can’t convince myself to go elsewhere.

This restaurant is the place to go for good quality food in the V&a waterfront. I would say it’s less Japanese than expected and heavy sushi oriented. The sushi is really good and we enjoyed the langoustines and lamb as well. This place definitely tops Tang!

Insane queue to get in! Not sure if it’s just cause of this festive season or they are always packed like this! If they are always like this they should consider setting up a reservation system cause long queues standing outside is just weird! Once seated we had a fantastic fish platter! The fish all tasted fresh and delicious! It was well worth the wait. The dessert was lovely too! Only downside was our waiter who lacked zeal or motivation and generally seemed disinterested, and hovered around our table as we tried to decide on the tip to give him which made it awkward! Most waiters walk away to give patrons time to consider if/what to tip! We also had the Caesar salad with kingklip which was quite salty! But other than that lovely place with great food!

Went for my 4x4 after a long while and must say that I love that it. As always still as tasty as ever. Thank you Will & co for never disappointing. My brother comes from Sweden now since I introduced you to him. When he comes and before he leaves.

Worth the wait, excellent food and service. Grab a bar seat and you can watch the chefs at work, great experience. The owner even came around to check on us, attention to detail on point. Highly recommend this restaurant!
