HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! This place is incredible to spend a good day at the beach, be it with family, friends, or alone. The waves are great, and if you know how to surf, this beach is ideal for you; but the water is rather cold!

Wonderful beach in the Clifton Area! It’s really big so there is a lot of space for everybody. The rocks lookin really fancy, worth a visit! At the beach you feel really safe, 10/10 worth a visit!

A wonderful beach to watch the sun go down! There are lots of surfers there too, so very fun and entertaining. A great rock formation to climb up for different views too.

Nothing short of magnificent! We arrived at 10am on a Sunday morning and were lucky to get the last parking bay in the very small car park. A short walk down a tarred path and this beauty awaits. Nippers, junior life savers, were out in full force doing their drills and having a lot of fun. Moms and Dads were playing ball with their kids on improvised courts while dogs were all playing happily together. What a lovely vibe with people from all walks of life happily side by side enjoying nature at it's best. Just a word of advice to anybody going to Llandudno Beach ... it's the cold Atlantic Sea ... swimming here is for the very brave or clad in wet suits brigade. It's the perfect beach to walk from one side of the beach to the other or just laze on the gorgeous sand and while the day away. Parking is very limited, and you will be fined if you park on red or yellow lines. It is a residential area, so please be mindful of the residents :) Highly recommended!

The best hidden beach in Cape Town by far. Chairs and umbrellas available for hire. Also great to take the dogs for a walk, make sure you get there before the beach folk if you'd like your dogs off lead

Far from the hustle, not too crowded with a small splash of water for little ones. Sea can be agitated so you feel very comfortable to keep the little ones safe on the side while they still have a lot of fun (plus the water in that splash is warm) No worry if you forgot or don’t have beach equipment and a picnic for the day, as there is a small outdoor shop (for light/dry snack and drink on the beach). Also available is a rental for beach chairs and umbrellas

Definitely my favourite beach in Cape Town on the Atlantic side - make sure to explore the rocks formations on the far right of the beach . Parking may be a bit of a problem in peak season taking an Uber makes a lot of sense.

Llandudno Beach is one great clean beach with less people and very many rocks and amazing views of table mountain. Its part of the Atlantic Ocean so its called during the summer in Cape Town (just known that). I saw suffers here too and mussels growing up on the shores rocks (note that taking any marine life is illegal and penalized). Downside is that there are no shops in this place, so pack your snacks. Also, it can get windy even when it's scorching hot. The perk is that its just close to Camps bay but is much better due to being less congested.

One of the best sunset spots in Cape Town. Check the wind before you go, but if you can go on a calmer evening is definitely worth the drive.

Llandudno Beach is one of the most quiet and hidden beaches in Cape Town. It is so peaceful, a place to take time out to relax and to reflect when things are much for you in your normal day life. Great restaurants there as well. Great place to bring your family. It is not over crowded at all.

If you can visit this spot during an off-peak season, it might just be perfect! Our experience was during the holidays. Parking was a mess and the beach was a bit crowded, but I can surely understand the appeal. The surrounding views are incredible and the nearby rocks are a wonderland for children.

This is a hidden gem!👌🏽 I studied in Cape Town but never knew about this beautiful quiet beach. 🤦🏽‍♀It's very clean, with nice white sands. We went on the 1st of January 2020 and it was not full at all while we heard from someone who came later that it's crazy at Camps Bay and Clifton beaches. I am happy I found Llandudno, my favourite beach from now on. The water is extremely cold though, but I am still in love with this beach♥

Gorgeous beach! Very calm and not that crowded. Parking lot was full but we just waited a few minutes until someone left. Water was freezing cold though. On the way out we had a little surprise, someone got in front of the car to keep us from leaving because we were supposed to pay him for parking. He didn’t help us park or get out and didn’t get near our car to take care of it. Don’t get it how he gave us a service that should be paid for. We eventually paid to get out of there.

During lockdown level 1 the beach was relatively empty. There's enough space to keep your distance AND enjoy the beach. Beware most people don't wear a mask though. The sunset falls directly over the beach it really is a beautiful scene. Good place to bring the misses and relax. Parking may be a bit if an issue, always check the parking places closest to the beach since the walk back up can be quite tiresome.

Llandudno Beach is my personal favourite beach within Cape Town city. White sand and granite bolders surrounded by a mountain amphitheatre is almost the most unique beach I have been to in the world! With the busy city vibes only a few minutes drive away, Llandudno feels isolated within relatively natural surroundings. Beautiful walks, gorgeous sunsets ans waves... what's not to like about this pristine beach?!

What is wrong with this beach? Very little, very little indeed. It's one of those Cape Town beaches that could easily be mistaken for an international destination when you relax here - it's equal to some of the best beaches in the world. Soft white sand, crystal clear water, safe for all ages, protected from the wide and beach chairs and umbrellas for rent are all available here. Where you choose to swim, splash about, take a walk or relax and soak up the sun, it's possible at this beach - in a peaceful environment. Bathrooms are clean and available, access is possible for wheelchair users though they will need some assistance as the inclines are pretty steep. Beach chair rental is R60 ($3.50) for the day at the time of writing, and umbrellas cost R80 ($4.65) for the day. Parking is limited (but free).
