Great vibes, lovely staff - disappointing food. We popped in here on a Saturday afternoon hoping to refuel after a long table mountain hike. The place itself is as hipster as you're imagining and our waitress was hilarious and fantastic. Sadly, the food (we all ordered burgers) weren't great. Massive portions but the burgers aren't actually all that tasty and just turn into a slop. The bun is too big and the consistency of most of the toppings means you end up with a sloppy Joe rather than a delicious burger. Sadly we wouldn't go back.

I might have almost cried because the waitress scared me. Quite hip and alternative but lekker! Knowing the waitress shouts and swears at the customers I thought it would be appropriate to take my parents there. It’s a bit pricey for the average student but keep in mind the burger is the size of your head so the leftovers is your lunch for the week.

Really delicious food and vegetarian options (which can sometimes be hard to find) - both pizza and burgers are high recommended. Portion sizes are nice and big and the place has a lovely informal and relaxed ambiance.

Usually really good but fell short today, the fries had too much oil on them and the burger way too much lettuce. Pizza options here are way better. Waitress are meant to be really mean but they were doing a halfway thing that confused my guests so they thought they were just genuinely bad waitresses 😂

I have not had a beef burger in a long time cause I haven't had a good 1 in a while. The burger I had was worth it big time! UPDATE : 06.08.2022. Burger still 1 of the best burgers. They gave a bread knife to cut the burger. 😋 The pizza, damn nice. Owner takes so much pride in what is delivered.

Great interior, re-done by @scenic_artists. Dog's team knows perfectly what's in the menu, but can as well support your taste with attention and understanding hard to beat by others 😀 Burgers are just as huge as delicious. Have to try other specialities before I repeat today's treat 💪🏻Enjoy!

Good vibe. Very enthusiastic service. Margherita pizza is the best, tried other veggie options, but flavour lacks. As a vegetarian, I prefer the pizza to the burgers.

The First impression is great, firstly there isn't much parking as the roads are very narrow, do not suggest going with own car ,looks very sketchy at night as there are many homeless people at night surrounding the area. Secondly service is great when entering , girl ask if we want anything to drink , and ordered a coke and hot chocolate , hot chocolate wasn't even "hot" could finish that cup in one blow, then as we were waiting for the girl to come back to take our order, we noticed that there's one chef making the food, and what put us off is that he was touching everything with his bare hands, not seeing him sanitize at least once and then the waiting continued on to at least 30 min without anyone taking our order yet and we decided to leave. Can't really get to how good the burgers looked because we didn't get to order, its a good atmosphere but not for everyone , would want to try the food but not with the chef working without gloves

What a little gem hidden between industrial buildings. Would've never thought to find a restaurant there. Get ready when you go there to go hungry. The burgers are massive and so delicious. Mango freezo is the best, expecially in this heat. The espresso milkshake is also a winner.

We celebrated my daughter's 22nd name day on Saturday gone past, I was so so really happy about this recommendation materializing. What a gorgeous vibe inside this place & the service was 'different' & really really cool. Go to this joint with an open mind & you will love it, the pizza & burgers were on another level for me - a little pricey but well worth it in the end. Amy you rock, I will be back!

Really enjoyed our lunch experience at the Yard. We like the way you need to write your name on a blackboard and if your order is ready they shout your name to come and fetch it. The burgers are amazing. The pizza was okay, but will defnitely go with the burgers instead next time.

Burger was huuuuge. Literally the biggest burger I've ever seen and super delicious. Service was great considering the rudeness and what what. Lol. Waiter was informative and Service was quick. We sat for a drink and some laughs, took burgers to go. Will be back for sure. Love the look of this place.

What an absolute laugh!!! A friend and I went for dinner and cocktails. This was the first time I went and it was glorious. Debbie our host was a gem...funny and loads of personality. Having your name screamed out loud to come and fetch your food...is a new one for me. The pizza was delicious and the burgers are the size of dinner plates. Fred Flintstone would be satisfied with a burger like that...they even provided a bread knife to help cut the dino burger. It also tasted amazing. The cocktails were delish, but be careful of the coffee...it is powerful. The atmosphere was fantastic...it was truly a great night out. I would however caution anybody who might be a bit sensitive...this might not be the place for you.

Went with friends and had such a fabulous time. Service was awesome. The burgers were spectacular, although u are paying a pretty penny... at the moment R175 for a burger meal. Yes, the burgers are massive, but I feel the buns weren't the best quality (maybe a good brioche bun would work) and perhaps more chippies. I know the burger will get you full, but I still can't really understand the price. Overall, was lots of fun!!

Was here last about 12 years ago! It certainly just got better. Unique informal vibe that you will not get anywhere else. Excellent service with a vibrant and witty waitress. The burgers, well, just as I remembered it from 12 years ago - big and hearty, full of juiciness and flavour. Will be back for sure!

A fantastic experience! Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very kind but loud waitress that asked us who was going to be the b*tch of the table, meaning that that person would have to fetch the food for the rest of the table. After volunteering, you write down your name and wait for it to be shouted from the kitchen. The portion sizes were enormous and also quite delicious. We could really taste that the burger patties were fresh and the toppings, too. The restaurant itself had an abundance of personality, from the menus to the bathroom. Definitely worth it to see for yourself. Unfortunately, there is little parking around the premise and the establishment is quite pricey. Other than that, a great experience!

Such a cool place. Great fun and welcoming staff, we felt at home. The burgers were good but I feel I expected more from the photos I've seen. There is too much garnish on. Maybe consider a thicker patter. That's just my opinion.. I enjoyed the experience 🤗

Rude waiters lol this is the theme 🤣 I kinda enjoyed the banter they also very approachable so expect this. Great atmosphere. Pizza was awesome . Loads of seating. Expect to have a laugh in the toilets(signs and size) Parking is the worste . The owner aka Gino loves to interact! and our group enjoyed to hear his views.

Very fun ambiance (if you’re ok with playful banter). A friendly dog 🐕 roaming around to clean up whatever might fall. The small vegetarian burger was good and the mini pizza was also really good. The burgers (if you’re American) are a little disappointing. They look incredible and they’re HUGE but the patty itself is very thin and a little over cooked. The peanut butter milkshake was AMAZING. Salad was also not great.

We had read great reviews about the place, especially their burgers. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to our expectations. The burger patty literally tasted off and the zucchini sticks were soggy. In fairness, the curfew and booze ban may be partly to blame. I suspect the turnover of food is not what it used to be.

Fun place, friendly stuff, amazing amazing atmosphere and style of interior is super fun. Enjoyed our pizzas very much as well.

Very cool experience to eat here! Do keep in mind it is a bit loud and intense so not the place for a calm dinner. However it is the place for a dinner you will not forget. The food is delicious and the food sizes are huge. Very kind waiters, although they are also able to yell incredibly loud.

Probably one of the best burger places in Cape Town, and I've had burgers all over Cape Town. Walk in, write your name on a chalkboard, they'll come take your order and shout your name when your burger is ready. The quality of the food is great, just flavor everywhere. Prices are reasonable and they have a great vibe. They make amazing Pizzas too! Highly recommended

Good atmosphere, parking is a little difficult. Burgers are big and yummy, had a Napolitana pizzas are good, thick crusts, little bit watery in the middle but lots of flavor and they also bring sides with it (olives etc) super cool idea.

Some of the best pizza I’ve had in Cape Town! It’s a unique experience that you can’t miss :)

Honestly such a great corner of town with a great vibe and relaxed setting. I love the light-hearted banter of the staff and the food is tops.

What an awsome outing! The best pizza 🍕 I ever had! My boyfriend absolutely loved his burger 🍔 as big as his 👋 hand! They are definitely not stingy when it comes to food and you 100% get your money's worth! This is a place we already have ordered from again since our outing there not even a month ago. They are also pet friendly which is fantastic 👏 😀!
