I was at this beach watching sunset at around 7 pm when a man approached me with a knife and stole my valuables. Make sure you’re in a visible spot and don’t sit behind a rock where no one can see you, which was what I did. It’s a very beautiful beach, but you need to be careful.

Whether you’re looking for an intimate time with friends, family or alone, this beach has got you. Tight security with visible and active life guards. One can also hire an umbrella for R70(regular customers are discounted) and there are people selling ice creams and close by is a 3min(max) to Kauai to get you some coffee(I got me something warm) as it got a bit chilly. I was there to do some work and absolutely loved the atmosphere

We found ourselves returning to Glen Beach several times during our stay in Cape Town. Dazzling white sand and blue sea, although water was cold even though it was a warm sunny day. the Twelve apostles make a fantastic back drop to this great public beach. Was never crowed during our visits which was surprising (although hard to find a parking spot)

Contrary to most, I always favour Glen Beach above its more famous sister, Camps Bay Beach. It's more secluded, surrounded by massive rocks. The waves are far bigger, while the sand is as soft, white and hot as next door. In fact, there always seem to be great waves for surfing. This accounts for all the surfers in their wetsuits sitting on their boards at the wave break. I marvel at the skills of these guys and girls, many of them probably from Camps Bay High School, just across the road.

Amazing beach with nice waves just next to the bigger camps bay beach. If u like to swim rather than surf, than latter is recommended. I really liked the small size of the beach having a more familiar atmosphere. Almost no locals found there at that time, only tourists mainly from GB. The sand is very fine and alonist pure white. The beach is almost perfectly clean. Definitely recommend visiting.

Great beach to hang out on. It's just that there are too many people who will harass you to buy stuff

Not the most clearly marked beach with directions to get to it, but once there it’s quite and secluded

Beautiful beach to spend the day on, but be aware of homeless people living in the rocky areas. A group of us girls were attacked and they tried to steal our phones and valuables. Lucky we ran before they could get anything

Beautiful! Limited parking direct to beach, so be prepared for a lovely scenic walk between the cottages. Just a short way from Camps Bay Beach.

This is a great dog-friendly beach. Note that dogs are only allowed before 9am and after 6pm, & it is a poop-scoop beach. It's not great swimming as the rip currents are a bit vicious, but it is a good place to learn to surf as the waves are large enough for that without being too large to overwhelm a beginner. If you just want to build sand castles, people-watch, watch sunsets and hang out with friends, this is a great beach. The best place to park is just below Camps Bay High School - there is a large parking lot overlooking the water - and then walk back. There are several sets of stairs leading to the beach.

Was great ,but parking was a nightmare. Had to walk far to get to the beach. My body is still sore from climbing over the rocks. But overall a great experience

👍 Very nice beach with the Vista of table mountain's twelve apostles. 👍 Great place to spend a Sunday afternoon with the family. Fresh ocean smell, warm breeze and a relaxed easy atmosphere make this a great place to walk, skate, cycle, jog or just sit and pass time on a bench or the grass. Perfect for people watching for those who enjoy that. Not too pleasant on a cold...
