Beautiful beach, beautiful views, lovely skies and mountains around! A must see. The best beach in my opinion to see the loveliest sunrise, it was mesmerizing to see this art of a view. Its a wide walking beach with a little restaurant for refreshments and or lunch with a beautiful view of the beach and bay. We found some sea stars as large as a mans hand, havent seen any crabs yet. This beach seems to be very lively with dog walking, so come walk your dog here, seems to be the trend on this beach.

Nice family beach one side, dog walking on the other, just watch out for the 🐕 poo as some people think they dont have to pick up after their dogs. At high tide, very little beach so be sure to check the tides.

Beautiful beach, always clean, not too many people. It's a lovely place for an afternoon walk. Will definitely go for a swim there when the weather is warm. Lots of people seem to enjoy kayaking/rowing at this specific beach. It's also dog friendly so you can bring your fur babies for a walk. There is also a little spot where you can sit and get a drink or something to eat right on the beach. Also has ample parking for visitors.

Sea sun and views, walkways, picturesque Beach, Cosy. Cool waters, life guards, restaurants clean toilets, umbrellas welcome, not so windy. Lovely grass patch. Kiddies playpark with slides, swings and more, beautifully maintained. Build sandcastles when its low tide. Pack a picnic and bring an umbrella as you would want to spend the day or afternoon here. Safe parking. Law enforcement nearby. Walkway from beach with colorful seating on a clear path for strolling. Shark spotters and safety net. Picturesque mountain views from shore Pay gate at entry, but not operational all the time. This beach has Blue Status. No dogs Allowed. Bring your snorkel as the waters are clear.

Truly on the better beaches in Cape Town and it has multiple facilities on site to ensure that you have a good time and especially, that you are kept safe. Even during popular times, you can always find your own little spot on this beach as it is very long (but Long Beach is somewhere else). There is ample parking on site and multiple bathrooms available. Law enforcement offices are always on site and there are regular patrols, especially during the peak seasons. There have been shark attacks here in the past and they have shark spotters available as well the notification flags. There's also a handy explanation on what the flags mean. From November to March, from 9am to 5pm, they put the shark net out, and from April to October, the nets put out on weekend and public holidays, also from 9-5. There are lifeguards on duty and actively monitoring the surf. As you can see from the pics, the sands (yes, not snow) is an indicator that it can get very windy (mostly from about September to February) but there are spot you can find that are pretty protected from the wind. Great place to swim, relax, take a walk and have a good time.

Since when do they charge you R10 to enter this beach? Been going here for years and never been charged to enter?

Fish Hoek (Afrikaans: Vishoek, meaning either Fish Corner or Fish Glen) is a coastal town at the eastern end of the Fish Hoek Valley on the False Bay side of the Cape Peninsula in Cape Town, South Africa. Previously a separate municipality, Fish Hoek is now part of the City of Cape Town. As a coastal suburb of Cape Town, Fish Hoek is popular as a residence for commuters, retired people and holidaymakers alike. The traditional industries of 'trek' fishing and angling coexist with the leisure pursuits of surfing, sailing and sunbathing.

Great beach with a shark net to keep visitors safe. There is a nice board walk offering some great views on the southern part of the beach. In the water there will be kayakers and kite surfers as well as swimmers.

Fish Hoek through to Sun Valley has 17 radio amateurs living there, if your into radio Hams and the hobby, or may be at the Toad having steak or watching the surf or may be in the Victoria times have a cool beer. The Galley is on the beach where you can relax to a lovely meal and local wine or may be an ice cream and walk along the beach, which ever you choose you will love the place.

A beautiful beach that allows dogs and is generally safe for swimming. I particularly loved the colourful changing boxes at this beach. The are a great place to take some photos along this coast. Most of the beaches around here have these nice colourful boxes giving the beach a burst of colour contrasting with the ocean. Well worth a visit.

Just awesome! The smell of sea just revives one"s inner soul and restores energy! Love it. Great weather, fab waves, long stretch of white sand where you dan enjoy a brisk walk, run or slow stroll whatever you prefer. a great place to enjoy an icecream, fish & chips on the beach, icy cold drinks, etc.

A lovely beach to take a morning stroll before the crowds roll in. Dog friendly and has a café at the entrance to grab a coffee. This beach recently had sewerage spills so be cautious about swimming until declared safe to do so by the authorities. The water is warmer here vs the Atlantic Seaboard side (Camps Bay, Clifton, etc) so shark spottings do happen from time to time but is monitored closely. Ample parking, including disabled bays.

Beautiful beach. Great Resturant and variety for grown ups and kids. Sometimes during peak holiday season, you have to pay a small entrance fee.

When the wind is low then it is hard to beat this spot. Clean, uncrowded, and swimming in the shark exclusion zone. The Jager's Walk is worth exploring.

Beautiful, clean, prestine wide beach sands and lovely, long sidewalks with stone benches along the way.Thoughtful, but personally, I kinda found it awkward that they have headstone inscriptions on the benches... It's as if you're sitting on someone's tomb 🙈. Great for a romantic strawl or jogging. The strong southerly winds, accompanied with rain and low temperatures (which can last for days), may spoil the party though, like it did during our stay. All that, does not take away the beauty of the place though. I will definitely be going back on a warmer day, but first, I'll make an appointment with the weatherman. NB: I will change to a 5* rating the day the weather behaves.😁

The weather was great and families were enjoying the beach, water and Jagers Walk Experience ruined by 3 heavy handed Law Enforcement officers and their treatment of a lady who was sitting peacefully, enjoying the envirnment. UPDATE: Thank you to Wayne Dyson of Law Enforcement. He investigated my complaint and called to let me know the outcome. We had a constructive conversation.

Lovely, clean and family friendly! The fact that there is shark spotting alarm and a net makes for a safe and enjoyable experience. Can be crowded during peak summer time as expected! Favourite place for many locals and internationals.

I really fell in love with this beach, but we had a couple of bad experiences at the restaurant and also did not appreciate being charged at the gate to park our car. The best feature about this beach is the start of Jager's Walk. Other than that there's really nothing spectacular about it, except for the beautiful view.

Fish Hoek is an amazing family friendly beachfront for swimming or walking along the shore. You can walk your dog on the Clovelly side as well.Plus there are really nice indoor or outdoors restaurants for the thirsty or hungry with amazing views. You won't be disappointed.

The water is lekker nice and my kids enjoy it always. The last time we discovered a dead seal and we have to cover it up with sand because of the stink. Wish they could clean the beach more properly, there were also a lot of sea weed on the beach.

Favourite beach! Love the ice cream, park play area... beach can get full on the one side when the weather is really good. Water is always worth a dip! Security is excellent. Leave our things on the shore, go for a dip, come back to find our things exactly where we left them! Law enforcement, lifeguard, sharkspotters, shark net all on site!

Great beach for a swim. You can usually get out past where the waves are breaking for a good swim or kiddies can paddle in the shallows. The beach is very gently sloped. There are good amenities and a restaurant for a bite to eat. Life guards on duty most days.
