O Otto du Plessis road a few kilometers outside of Melkbosstrand, this little stop to view and visit the Atlantic Ocean makes you feel like you are miles from any town. The dunes hide the road and the ocean and beach are in front of you. If you are looking for a quiet spot to stop and catch your breath, this is the place to be.

Beautiful beach with stunning Yanle Mountain views. Sunsets are amazing. Nice and quite (never too busy). No bathrooms facilities or restaurants close by (closest is either Melkbosstrand or Big Bay.

I went early-ish but it was hectically windy. I took my dog to the beach for the first time in her life and she couldn’t like the wind. But she liked the water and it was a lekker place to be. Not many people there at the same time so you kinda have the place to yourself - or share with very few others. I’ll take her again sometime for sure, simply because it’s fairly isolated.

Went Bodyboarding here. Current dragged us to kelp baai, not for the novice we happy to meet up with a local surfer who gave us some info. Fun to be had but make sure you exit before you get to the Rocks.
