Best place to take your dogs! Clean beach, not too much kelp and friendly people.

The entrance to the beach is somewhat hidden. There are lots of steps down to the beach - just take note. As one point you can go left or right, go right :) the beach is clean and pretty. A little small but very lovely. The doggies run free and most people pick up the poop. Go early to get a good parking spot. Will visit again.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful beach less crowded than the other three Clifton, especially the fourth one is full full ... but it's January 1st (Original) Bella spiaggia meno affollata delle altre tre Clifton, soprattutto la quarta è full full... ma è il primo gennaio

Dog friendly beach so watch out for potential land mines and slipping hazards.

A clean beach with lovely bathrooms (near the pumphouse). Bring cash if you'd like to rent umbrellas or chairs (R50 each) if you forgot yours like we did. There's always someone selling cool drinks and ice cream for quite cheap. Make sure you leave after sunset, though. The security isn't great then and people get robbed.

Softest white Sands, bluest and coldest waters with a surfable swell. This is the place why I can never leave Cape Town.

Personally I don't find the beach anything out of the ordinary, although clean, it's a small beach, gets crowded easily. The water is obviously very cold and there are quite a bit of steps to climb when you leave the beach, hot and sweaty and still have to climb the steps

This is one of my favourite beaches karma there's almost no parking at the top in summer. I highly suggest cycling there rather than driving

(Translated by Google) Small and deserted beach, I went down some stairs down the road, but I don't know if there is another way. Unforgettable sunset! Wonderful scenery (Original) Praia pequena e deserta, desci por umas escadas pela road, mas não sei se tem outro caminho. Pôr do sol inesquecível! Cenário maravilhoso

A 2 min walk down the stairs and you hit a private little beach that is dog friendly. I will often go early on a Saturday morning with my husky, to enjoy the icy sand and isolation. Would definitely consider this a safe beach!

This is our favourite beach in Cape Town. The views are incredible, and the wind isn't very strong that side (so you can go to this beach on a windy day and still be ok). It can get a bit crowded during the peak season, especially with all the dogs people bring, but overall, it's our favourite spot to chill and relax. Warning: the water is super cold in the summer time (December to February), only the bravest venture out in those frigid waves.

A lovely place to relax and unwind. As a Jozi girl, it is amazing to chill on the beach and read a book. Note - Clifton 1st beach is dog-friendly, so be prepared to have little and big pups close by.

Lovely for sunsets, great for a hangout with friends. Can get a bit full, try the Glen if you want something similar but less crowded.

I really appreciate the fun I had there, it's something I'm never gonna take for granted again.

The soft, sandy beaches of Clifton rank among the best beaches in the world. With mountains to one side, and epic sunsets into the Atlantic ocean on the other side, Clifton beaches belong to a very small club. Each of the 4 beaches offers something different. Clifton 1st is the quiet beach, suited to those who don't want too many people around. The only thing about Clifton, is that the water is freezing cold!

The beach sand was like icing sugar; very nice on the feet. But, the water was very cold, probably because it had rained earlier in the day. The beach was littered by some unusual plant life, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the water and the beach.

A beautiful beach and beautiful scenery. Clean and free of crowds, and clean toilets too. A great place to relax and play in the sand and sea. I just loved it!

Stunning beach ⛱ when you get to the bottom of all the steps. Remember what goes down must go up again 😅, but you'll have do much fun here. It is also a dog friendly beach.

(Translated by Google) One of the most delicious beaches to spend time in Cape Town. It's quiet and windy less than Camps Bay. Take a bottle of water and something to eat. (Original) Uma das praias mais gostosas para passar o tempo em Cape Town. É tranquilo e venta menos do que Camps Bay. Leve uma garrafa de água e algo para comer.

Beautiful on a summer day. Best place for dogs in Cape Town. But due to the dogs, the path to the beach does smell of dog urine.
