Yet another gem in the Western Cape, about an hours drive from Cape Town or Malmesbury. This beach was not over crowded when we were there and was clean and we really could enjoy the day with our dogs. There is quite a bit of parking and one does not have to walk far to get onto the beach. There are also shops and restaurants close by with real good food.

Nice family friendly beach. Great for walks or just to take in the bird life and if your lucky like we were on this occasion you might even see a pod of dolphins playing in the ocean right in front of you. The beach has a nice layer of shrubbery to protect from erosion and it also attracts a variety of birds who shelter here.

Lovely beach, water is nice and cold. Lifeguards on duty makes it seem fairly safe. Plenty of parking and a few food and coffee stands around. No big breaks, just a nice and flat beach

Beautiful beach for a walk or picnic. Water is quite cold for swimming but on a hot day can be perfect. Easy access to the beach with a ramp and stairs.

Super nice place for a day off the trouble of Cape town. Wind is a bit lighter here always but you have lots and lots of space to Kitesurfing or windsurfing. Toilets near the beaches have been clean. Showers available to rinse after your session

This was a spontaneous visit for us and I absolutely loved it. Wish I could go there for the weekend. Only 40 minutes from Cape Town. This would be an ideal get away. Nice waves. Nice beach sand!

Greatest beach of all time. Never too busy and well maintained. Some problems with dirt during windy weather but on a good day its perfect.

Yzerfontein beach is just awesome. You can take walks for hours and is ideal for picnics. I went fishing with a couple of friends and caught a big fish. Was such a unforgettable experience. This is the best beach ever to go to.

It was a lovely stretch of coastline. Holiday was Perfect. Accomm, all tick boxes. COSY and a view of The Beach Life. A sad reality of Waste- age on our Coastline which, we all need to do our Bit. Our Planet. Our Gift. I did our bit and Enjoyed our walk with purpose.

Beautiful, prestine beach. Water is crystal clear and very little rubbish. Food and coffee vendors on the road above the beach make it a nice place to visit for lunch.

Scenic, windy, nice swimming beach and essential shops. Do visit if you can.

Beautiful wide, flat, sandy beach with no litter! Probably even better if we could have stayed over a couple of nights.

Beautiful sheltered bay beach but some strong rip currents so swim with caution. Plenty of safe parking within close walking distance and easy stepped access. Flat beach with hard sand makes for easy walking but not my favourite for sitting and lying on the beach. Also, due to a very flat beach, spring tides tend to cover most of it during high tide.

Long stretch of seaweed free beach. Retaining wall offers shelter against wind. Ample parking and basic but pristinely clean ablutions, showers as well. Great job!

I always enjoy spending a sunny day in Yzerfontein. The view is spectacular. I just love this garden and paths with the swing benches looking out over the Harbour and the sea.
