Considering we pay an entry fee, hourly cleaning at ablutions should be implemented weekends and public holidays. Park rangers should walk around so that rowdy groups can be reprimanded. Baboon monitors done a great job at keeping them at bay. Overall experience was good considering it was our first time back there in about 7 years. Will go back.

MTB trails maintained by Tokai MTB are great, but sadly Sanparks does nothing to ensure your safety in the park. They only look for cyclists without permits but they don’t care about anything else. You have to pay a permit and they can’t even maintain the roads in the park. If you’re a hiker and for some reason you really feel the need to hike here, PLEASE don’t take up the whole road. We can’t just ride into the bush to avoid you. There are 100s of other hiking trails in CT where mountain bikes aren’t allowed, just go hike there Picnic spot is just a fire hazard and noise pollution

Very nice venue for family or group braai but a word of caution, there are baboons who creep up on you and steal your food but the rangers come and assist immediately. There is an entry fee per car and per person

I'm giving it 4 stars although I want to give 5. I had an awesome time relaxing and strolling through the place but I had a baboon almost attack me and the Rangers on site told me it's not their problem luckily my husband came to the rescue. So that's the only problem I had plus I had kids with me but they said it's not their problem.

Had a lovely day in the Forest. I like how they have made the braai areas with the tree stumps as seats. Toilets lovely and clean, and as soon as the baboons arrived the Parks and Forest guys sorted them out. Thanks so much for this beautiful place just around the corner.

Very nice forest picnic setting. I just feel that entry is a bit pricey though, since the venue dont have anything else to offer besides picnic and braai facilities. I suggest regular visitors get a wild card to access.

Absolutely beautiful. Braai areas. Parking right where u braai. Relaxing. Just be careful of the wild baboons...report to nature conservation, they come and chase them away. Restful relaxing day

Very nice - lots of baboons - water points very far from outer braai spots - otherwise nice and peaceful for a family day

Love this place. It is extremely welcoming and such a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy. Family friendly and one of the few places in Cape Town you can braai while the kids run around enjoying themselves. A timeless place our family ventured when I was young and now a little more grown up run from here up into Tokai knowing my car is safe too.

Great place for a gathering of friends and family. Do highly recommend cleaning and maintenance of the ladies toilet. Gents were all good. After your braai kindly keep your food stored in the boot and close it once done. They (baboons) come and steal it. Even though the rangers are in the area patrolling they take their chances. There is enough space to park and have your braai. Would go again, was great fun.

We were never warned about baboons at this park we only found out after half our food was stolen by a alpha baboon it was difficult to enjoy our stay at the park thereafter as we were super paranoid luckily the ranger Chadley came running to save the last of our food so he made our stay a little better, they need to try and fix the broken fence and make it more secure. The park is still very nice it was an eventful day

Very clean, quiet and serene. Officers walk about on foot to ensure the law of the park is upheld. Had a wonderful and peaceful day.

I love Tokai forest even after they've scaled down so much. Its tranquil and great for the kids. Don't forget to bring your camping chairs!!! I love that everyone is not in each others faces and quite spaced out. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic place for the family and friends to braai. Clean toilet facilities and lovely areas to walk while others braai. Open spaces to even play small ball games.

Had an amazing time with my family. It would've been even better if the braai spots were clean and had no glass laying around. The area is also extremely sandy. All in all, it was an okay experience, won't be back in a hurry.

Beautiful natural surroundings! Exciting to watch baboon squad in action! Loud music restrictions need to be enforced, though.

They charged me to get in R70 and was penalized for not knowing that the entrance is not for free and the security were not friendly on me since it was my first day to the place l didn't know that l pay to get in and the car pay to get in and you get penalized for asking/not knowing that you pay at the gate

Beautiful pine forest setting, we had the local baboons visiting but had Brendon, the baboon spotter, visible to assist with ensuring no harm done to human and baboons
