Oh this food is very very delicious 😋 I had fish in sweet & sour sauce, best ever! My partner had red Thai chicken curry... Its halaal so no alcohol is served, on a busy main road but Highly recommended! Quality over quantity!

I love this place, their food is as great as everyone says it is on here... But, my issue is the door, especially in winter. Please install a hydraulic door closer so that people sitting next to the door doesn't freeze to death!!! Other than that, the glass noodle stir fry was delicious. See you next time.

My daughter had my wife driving her from Steenberg to get some sushi as wifey had sampled their sushi and told her that it was tops. And were they chuffed as it was buy one get one free so they got a double serving of salmon roses and prawn fashion sandwiches for the low price of R140. Not only cheap, but freshly made and delicious. According to them, definitely better rated than some other places.

Absolutely delicious food. The location is a bit inconvenient for me but I will gladly go out or my way to order from them. I had pad Thai and sushi, and it was top notch. Staff is friendly and their decorations are attractive and really beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants some awesome food!

The sushi was fantastic! With just over 10 tables, the restaurant was cosy but comfortable, even during loadshedding. We thoroughly enjoyed the authentic Thai tastes of the Crispy Duck and Bame Prik Phao. We will be back with friends to try all the other delicious-looking dishes...

The best Thai food outside of Asia, the service is great just some nights over the weekends where delivery and takeaways gets busy so the food takes a abit longer but be patient it's really worth the time spent, enjoying conversations from waiters and kitchen staff engaging with guests. Deep fried ice cream is the best.

We've ordered delivery twice in the past week and both times we were blown away by the quality, taste and portion size. It's also packed well so the soup doesn't get delivered all messy. Can't believe it took us so long to order from Khao Hom. They really put Simply asia to sleep. We tried the Kuy Teav, Phad Prik Pao and Tom yum noodle soup. All were delicious and great value for money! The only thing I'd change is the menu on delivery apps as the ingredients aren't listed in detail, I follow a pescetarian diet so I was a little surprised to find some chicken in the Tom yum noodle soup. I'm not fussy though so just removed it myself. Just some constructive feedback:)

Its so rare that I give 5 stars but today was a good day. my daughters love Asian delights. Im a bit more careful but willing to try. The food is fresh and delicious. Halaal in all aspects. The waiter was super helpful didnt get his name but he helped with words I couldn't pronounce. Oh man the sushi was great. I loved it. and it was a special too. Great work guys. keep it up.

Being a lover of South East Asian cuisine, I have been too many spots around Capetown nothing really compares to khao hom thai. Their quality only increased over the covid unlike many other establishments. My personal fave: beef phad thai and chicken won ton soup.

The service was good and good served quickly. Personally I prefer my noodles more spicy than sweet but adding the crushed chillies and lemon provided gave it the flavour I enjoyed. The spring rolls were crispy and tasty. The fried ice cream you must try 😋 We've had the chocolate spring rolls as well but the fried ice cream was the favourite dessert.

Very nice cozy Halaal place. Food is fresh and yummy. The prawns was cooked to perfection! The wantons simply divine. As well the the chicken satay. Yum yumm. Only improvement I'd ask for is to have cuppacino etc.. on the menu, as they only have instant nescafe. Make sure to book a table, seems to be very popular.

The food at Khao Home tried thus far has been exceptional. 4 different dishes on the menu plus crispy wantons, spring rolls & sushi. I didn't want to drop the rating because of the good quality food but service needs a bit of a fine tune. Two people at dinner... One should never get their food too much in advance of the other. One occasion 2-3 minutes were okay, last visit... Dinner partner finished meal by the time mine has arrived due to it being a chef's special. 10-15 minutes later. The quicker dish should have been made in accordance with this timing. The seating area is minimal & middle row 2 people seats are arkward as walk ins, delivery persons & take out clients all walk & squeeze past to get to the paying counter. Do hope better venue will be in the near future, seems a popular & busy eatery!

I’ve been craving Thai food and after driving past Khao Hom a couple of times, I decided to order lunch from there. I had the veg green curry and my boyfriend had the red curry with chicken. It was so good that we decided to get more for dinner! We also got spring rolls for dinner. The food is absolutely amazing. The flavors are so warming and hearty that it leaves you wanting more.

Delicious halaal Thai experience. This authentic little eatery is run by a Muslim Thai family. The food is delicious, the service quick and personal. Loved it.

The food was great, portions hearty and prices reasonable (except the R30 for Jacobs coffee). Adding placemats to the table settings and glasses when serving cool drinks will add to the ambiance. We did enjoy our meal and the friendly staff.

Let me start of with the atmosphere, when I see stock and too much clutter in your front of house I know you not organized, which is a shame because the food is great, service wise it's okay, this was my second time coming to the Res and they don't have certain drinks. Please up your beverage game, also their drinks ws warm and they had no ice, a restaurant with no ice??!! Furthermore the food is amazing, really weldone and captures the essence of Thai cuisine, it's a shame that the service and atmosphere lacks.

Authentic Thai cuisine. I’ve been to Thailand twice, and when I tasted their food it just brought back memories. A secret treasure in Claremont, right opposite Livingstone High School. Each meal embodies the flavor of Thailand. A fantastic Thai restaurant serving Halal food. They have the best sushi specials, in my opinion. However some platters provide a discount of buy one, get one free. It's good and inexpensive. Although we usually eat the food as soon as it arrives because it is so good, their noodle dishes are fantastic. I apologize for the lack of pictures. The owner is Thai, and her amiable and young staff members are typically college students. Just a reminder: Only tea and soft drinks are offered instead of coffee.

We were welcomed very politely and seated immediately. The waiting period for our food was short. The restaurant have a rustic cosy feeling where we felt so comfortable. The food was fantastic. Thai food with a Cape Town twist.

First time there, the food is top notch. Very clean flavour and refreshing compared to your average food in Cape Town. We had some sushi, rice stirfry, steamed wontongs and noodles (forgot the type), but all of it had a unique and flavourful taste. The actual restaurant is a but crowd but I'm sure it will grow in time. We had takeout instead, parking in the streets. Not too bad I suppose. But the food makes up for whatever shortfall you might find. I'm sure of it. The price is reasonable. Not too bad and the serving sizes are generous.

We decided on crispy wontons to start, there after having some basil & chilli stir fry and a green curry. All the food was absolutely delicious, made very quickly and when picking up our meal the service was great and everyone extremely friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some Thai cuisine!
