We visited this establishment last night. Not only was the person behind the till rude, the service of the entire place was bad. Everyone was walking about at the slowest possible pace and we waited a while for our food. Our server indicated very boldly that we need to wear our masks but didn’t flinch to lower hers time and again. They also didn’t have a working milkshake machine and only one sauce for the nuggets. It’s a pity that such an international brand can’t deliver basic friendly and efficient service at this branch.

The cage around the counter is most likely a vital necessity for some reason that I am not privy to, only a couple of years back, as before then it never had one, but it makes the atmosphere feel like one is ordering McD's inside a prison probably similar to one like Pollsmoor. Coupled with the armed guards at the door and the steel faced looks of most of the staff, one would think one has landed oneself not in Pollsmoor but more like Alcatraz or worse.

Absolutely essential. Great service and always a laugh to share with the new friends you might make here after a night out in town. Come join us and check it out!

Bought me a large big mac meal. Got a large coke wit no straw and a dry burger with no salads on, and the only reason I couldn't take it back is because I'm at work so that was my lunch. I had no time left 2 go out again

Went there just after lunchtime and it was empty, no que to stand in which baffles me because my fries were old and soft the chicken patty in my spicy Cajun was not freshly prepared. To add to that my caramel ice coffee was just syrup with a splash of milk. Really disappointed and unsatisfactory.

One of the most unpleasant fast food outlets I have ever visited. The decor and ambience reminds of a prison dining area - complete with a prison-like separation between customers and staff taking down orders. The so-called "quarter pounder" was the size of the palm of my hand. The staff was shrieking and shouting all the time - an absolute cacophony of noise. All in all an utterly unpleasant experience. And not ever to be repeated.

Small parking space and relatively long waiting time for what's meant to be "fast" food. A near 25min wait and it wasn't full, busy or the weekend (which would be understandable). Alternatively I'd prefer to just go to the one at Greenpoint atleast there's a drive thru so that's something. Cajun chicken burger all the way!!

The service at this branch is really slow and the staff are overwhelmed with orders with not much of a system in place to deal with the high influx of customers during peak hours. During peak hour one of the self service machines malfunctioed, causing it not to print out proof of payment/order slip thus customers had to inform the staff of what their order was on numerous occasions. Not once had the manager or any staff member put a notice on the machine to indicate the problem.

I couldnt order food since the parking just outside is apparently not owned by mcdonalds and the attendant wanted to charge me for parking so decided not to order from that mcdonalds , i am not shure how the mcdonalds is but its bad planning on mcdonalds side for not having parking

Place closed at odd times (8pm my last attempt) for “staff changes” that take forever (so much for being open 24 hours a day), feels like visiting a prison due to the metal screens you have to order through (and the staff can hardly take an order through) and service usually quite bad.

Drinks without ice, double cheesburger with only one beef part. As tourist you are setup for failure over there

Ordered a quarter pounder with cheese, was charged with that as well, however I received a roll with 2 patties and some tomato sauce inside only. No cheese. I would have had something else had they informed me about this, however they did not. Was dry, bland and took way too long to be given to me like that. Shocking.

Absolutely terrible, Menu has items missing. I see MacDonalds has replied to previous bad reviews posted over 3 months ago and nothing has been done. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend

Loadshedding starts at 2am and they closed the store at 1am for loadshedding, the staff aren’t wanting to work so they close an hour earlier. Don’t waste your time here , it’s one of the only MCD to not have a generator even. Why come to a unfunctional place. Go somewhere else many other ones around. Very sad for the franchisee hope you sort your business out and attend to issues.

We needed fold-over burgers, but the store had no fold-overs for some reason. Ended up buying other types of burgers instead. Not happy about that. The food was however very fresh. I enjoyed the burger I ordered in the end.

Parking is terrible, some guys don't know how to park... Lucky packet licences... The store itself was pretty decent, quick and friendly... Some of the ladies even sang together in the back which was quite awesome to see. A Saffer experience of note :). It's a better McDonald's than most hence I'll come to this one over others. Just try overlook the metal mesh screen in front... Its a 24 hour branch so security during late hours is understandable.

Very disappointed with the fact that after loadshedding a 24 hrs mcdonalds takes over an hour to open again. Staff take an hour for tea after loadshedding and get paid to do nothing. Beggars surrounding the area and terribly dirty.

Have waited more than a hour for my order and asked the reason. he said he'll start preparing it now because they don't keep stuff that I asked for which was nuggets and fish fingers

I will never buy here ever again and I suggest everyone to check their orders before living because I was done dirty twice

Absolutely the best freaking ever from any McDonald at 1 in the morning. Mandi and Zintle gave more than idls expected and provided excellent professional service to us. Thank you

Overall staff was splendid they work like a well functioning team, just one very impatient employee that was for some reason and is mopping at the spot we eating at, so imagine being asked to shift around the entire time and the bathroom is not for more than 2 people that needs a look into. But overall again very energetic staff.

Had exceptionally great service here, after a long night out. Not sure if its always like this, but was really impressed and awesome people working here.

Everything perfect but customer service staff should be more of attentive listeners because i had to re-order and pay more. Otherwise everything almost perfect 🤌🏽

The only issue I have it's in need of an upgrade I thought mcdonalds has standards.. new seating, lady's toilets door not able to lock just to name a few. It's just a suggestion to the owner if it's franchise upgrade needed. With the jail look I understand people probably were hostile but with that look where you order the entire mcdonalds looks un-appealing. I use to work for mcdonalds so I know about standards. The employees are they also not addressed with how they are dressed? Unprofessional?? Just a suggestion upgrade neeeeded.

Absolutely frustrated!!! The restaurant claims to be a 24hr restaurant but when I went there at 10pm the doors were closed , so i go home and try again 2hrs later and the staff are still inside and become rude when I question why they are closed, even though i see 3 customers inside. My visit here was very unpleasant and i am very disappointed and i am going to take legal action against them for claiming to be a 24h restaurant but don’t keep to their word.

Food was fine, did not feel safe in the area due to the bars on the counter, who has bars in a MacDonald's. Other than that they try to over charge for everything, where you will try to twll them what youwant they give you the more expensive one. Theytry to make more money rather then giving you what you ask

Post apocalyptic Mcdonalds experience. As distant as one can get from their corporate image. Caged counters, barren seating area and fittings in various states of disrepair. Skip this one unless zombies have taken over the streets and there’s nowhere else to go. I’m going to Burger King.

Toilets not working properly, Cashiers are behind a big grill.. looks like a jail and not up graded like the other Macdonalds

The front of house floor manager at this branch is always 💯 She is great w customers. She's very friendly and helpful. An incident happened once at this branch but she wasn't on duty. I was still assisted and walked away with a smile. She is always making sure the customer's are attended and the staff is well trained. Thank you lady, I see your move. I hope your staff appreciate you. I don't know her name but she's awesome👍

Big Mac Menu's arrived warm and the Coke cool., as ordered with note. Packing good, sealed and clean. Burger tasty, chips good ! Please go ahead with this quality.

Its Macdonalds mit different to anywhere else

Came from a very long queue at sassa with my elderly father who was struggling to hold in a pee. Asked for the toilet and the cashier rudely told us to order as the toilet is only entered with a till slip. The manner in which we were spoken to was uncalled for. We tried ordering which was another nightmare as it took forever to locate what we wanted to eat (which we didn't) and there was no helper to assist first time users of the self ordering screen gadget. Thank God there is a KFC right opposite cause we gave up and went across the road where we were able to use the toilet without even placing an order and we had our KFC meal in peace.

As with most McDonald's, expectations are met by what you get. The staff is efficient and the service quick. The establishment is neat and tidy. Centrally located in the heart of the city.

Fast food at its best. Love this place for a quick pop in.

Fast and efficient service. Only negative aspect is that their staff is not allowed to take tips which in my opinion is unacceptable. Working in the hospitality industry is long working hours of which most ks being on one's feet. Therefore i suggest a tip box of which all staff members can benefit from as staff will be more motivated to work hard and will help the staff quite a lot especially in the difficult times we are today!

It was friendly and efficient service. The overall cleanliness, in comparison to other branches, was average. A drawback would be that they did not give trays to their eat in customers. All in all it was good service.

The store sites that it opens 24 hours but on the last 3 occasions it's been closed which i assume is due to Covid. I don't see the operating hours but I assume it should be open at 7am. However on the last 3 occasions that I have been here at 7am the store was closed. 1 morning there was no staff at all. Seems like the manager is as lacks as the start
