I’ve
eaten
at
this
chain
restaurant
before,
but
this
is
my
first
at
the
Woodbridge
Island
venue.
It’s
an
absolutely
stunning
location,
made
more
so
by
the
fact
that
there
isn’t
a
ghastly
parking
lot
between
you
and
the
sea.
Most
SA
restaurants
are
restricted
by
some
ludicrous
by-law
that
means
your
car
enjoys
the
better
views.
There’s
a
links
course
next
door
so
possibly
a
loophole
was
found
with
local
council
liquor
licensing.
That
aside,
it’s
a
well
run,
mid-market
establishment,
complete
with
slightly
sticky
outdoor
bench/table
things.
I
would
imagine
on
a
busy
weekend
it
would
get
quite
festive,
but
I’ll
never
know.
As
it
is,
on
a
relatively
quiet
Tuesday
lunch
it
was
a
pleasure
to
be
here.
Excellent
staff,
an
extensive
menu
for
what
is
essentially
a
pub
on
steroids,
a
good
wine
list
and
very
fair
prices.
I
had
a
fish/calamari
pan
and
it
was
remarkably
good.
Frozen,
obviously,
but
defrosted
correctly
(slowly)
and
not
slathered
in
batter
and
oozing
oil.
The
calamari
was
dusted
and
fried,
a
much
better
option.
I
suspect
Patagonia
tubes
as
they
might
not
be
the
most
flavoursome
but
they
are
almost
bulletproof
against
toughness.
At
the
price,
a
very
good
meal,
reminiscent
of
Chappies
in
the
eighties,
but
without
the
need
to
sell
a
kidney.
Lastly,
unless
you’re
in
a
place
that
requires
a
second
bond
to
walk
in,
or
a
tiny
ten-seater
in
a
harbour
hamlet
next
to
the
boats
or
a
knit-your-own-muesli
spot
with
questionable
hygiene
and
tax
records
both,
the
fish
is
frozen
and
comes
in
a
box
by
truck.
Get
over
it.
