Besides the fact that the food was amazing! The staff are also very friendly and attentive. The place was packed to capacity, so of course I was expecting to finish my drink before the food came, boy was I wrong. The food followed within minutes of the drink arriving. The presentation of the dishes is a show on its own. So much value for money considering the portions sizes. And I highly recommend getting their delicious Elma Cay (Apple Tea). The night was cold and wet, but Saray was prepared with heaters and blankets which in my book is very considerate of them. My friends and I have made it our mission to try everything on the menu so it's safe to say we'll be dining here quite often.

What a great experience. If ever you want to experience true Turkish hospitality and cuisine...this is it...fresh food in just under 15min, the best hookah I've come across try the double apple, clean ablution facilities and Muslim prayer facilities. The food portions are quite large so id suggest you come with a good appetite. All the while the restaurant manager, Murat, was checking in on us to see if we're enjoying our dinner. Definitely a must visit

I went over the weekend to Saray. It is a fully halaal restaurant with and outdoor and indooor. The outdoors I covered and has heaters and blankets in winter. It has a smoking and non smoking section. I would also highly recommend that you make a reservation for good seating. The menu has quite a few options. The platter are very worthwhile but I unfortunately could not try them as they kebabs were mixed lamb and beef. I don’t eat beef for religious reasons. When asked to swop it out even for something cheaper they refused and said no exchanges could be made, which was a bit disappointing. In the end I ordered the cheese pida, which was a generous size and delicious. We also ordered the chicken and mushroom pida which was as equally delicious. For mains we ordered the lamb chops which came with chips, rice and a roti type of bread. The lamb could have done with more basting and trimming so there was less fat but enjoyable. We also ordered the chicken thighs, this was really value for money as it come with a salad, bread, rice and chips. Basically it was almost a whole chicken and was so nice and moist. The passion fruit mocktail was delicious. We also ordered the apple tea which I also enjoyed. For dessert I was so eager to taste the Kunefe, it was one of the things I wasn’t able to taste when I was in Turkey so I was really excited. To my dismay I didn’t now enjoy it at all. I know it’s a cheese dessert but I thought dessert cheese would be used and it would not taste so savoury. I had to use the ice cream to mask the flavour. I’m guessing it’s an acquired taste. Plus the waitress said it was like baked cheesecake. It was absolutely not. If I had know I would have ordered something else.

Coupled with the food is the epic location, views and an added bonus of a very cool kids open play area in front of the dining area (easy eye keeping). Authentic Cuisine. Restaurant subscribes to Halaal food requirements. The difficulty is an open booking (even 2 to 3 days notice is sometimes unmanageable for the restaurant) Plan much ahead of time. Service is acceptable. For the location and ambience alone the place is worth it.

After a round of putt putt for team building, we decided to eat here. We opted for outside seating due to the wonderful weather and view of the V&A Waterfront. On arrival we were welcomed by friendly and courteous staff. We we seated immediately and service was very efficient. The food was devine and well prepared. Pricing is average and the atmosphere was serene.

Situated by the clock tower side of V&A. The family enjoyed the outside seating(inside seating available too)as we watched how busy the waterfront became. Think value for money and quality of food was good, to taste a bit of Turkiye. Do come early though for lunch as this place fills up quick after 12.

The family and I went twice twice in two days, fantastic service, lovely people and atmosphere. Loved the mezze platter and the very authentic Turkish feel. I wish they did a trilece because I love it and it is quintessentially Istanbul, but alas, no! Loved the Ayran though served in super cute cups.

Upmarket restaurant located next to the clock tower at V&A Waterfront. Authentic Turkish cuisine, friendly staff and great ambiance. Generous food portions and food is not too spicy which is great. Complimentary flat/turkish bread offered however Istanbul Kebab in Melrose Johannesburg which is a similar restaurant has a variety of complimentary items on arrival, including tea after the meal. Would be nice if there were pictures of the food on the menu. Sometimes really difficult to get a booking unless you book in advance. Limited dessert selection but not too bad nonetheless. Too little ice cream served with the chocolate brownie and other desserts that are served with ice cream.

We made a 8:30 pm reservation, we were greeted by smart looking staff, seated in a beautiful restaurant with hanging Turkish lamps all around, a gas fireplace to keep us warm, served by the loveliest waitress and served the most delicious food. I would recommend getting a Meze plate for the table while waiting for your food, and a Turkish coffee 👍impeccable evening!

Taste was delicious and very flavourful. I ordered the mixed grill and expected bigger portion. All in all, great atmosphere and decor. It was quite busy when I went and they might do well to social distance a bit more. All in all. Good experience

We visited Saray for a team lunch as colleagues. The decor and atmosphere strikes you from the second you walk in and is truly amazing. The staff are friendly, efficient and courteous. The food was brilliant, so beautifully presented, very tasty and reasonably priced too! I know that I’ll be back for sure!

Saray Restaurant is a good restaurant to chill and have a Hookah with friends and family. The Turkish Style Pizza (Pide) is quite good and very tasty. Excellent views of the clock tower with a great vibe

A beautiful and tranquil venue with outdoor seating that was lovely, especially during Covid. The owner and staff were very polite and attentive. The food was delicious and tasty 😋 We we running late but will go back for dessert ☺️ The park within eyesight of some of the seats so may be an ideal place to bring your kids as well.

Had the most amazing time with my wife for our anniversary. The service from entry to the time we left was impeccable. The food was remarkable from Starters, main to dessert. Waiting time for the orders was extremely minimal. The vibe is out of the world, with heaters all around and offering of blankets... I would recommend to anyone wanting to have a great experience... Would really pay a visit there again.

Popped in for a coffee and dessert. The baklava was underwhelming. Not enough nuts. Couldn't even taste the pistachios. If that's what their dessert looks like then the food can't be that good.
