The Blaauwberg Beach Hotel is an excellent destination to stay for an extended period of time. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff are so helpful, caring and kind. The manager is second to none! Wayne is an excellent host helping us find the things we needed for a comfortable stay. The food is delicious! The beach and the view are stunning. I highly recommend this destination.

Friendly staff. The reception staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. I will definitely go back. Waves restaurant was not a highlight, bad food and sometimes the tables were not clean. The food made me sick several times. So I will definitely book again but no room service, I will have order take out.

Brilliant view of the mountain Room was clean upon arrival But upon check-in we got double charged, eventually they offered a refund for the excess. No water supplied to the room. Reception confirmed we could get drinks delivered to the room, but I had to retrieve it myself from the bar. Room service Dinner had no salt at all, also none supplied. The shower drain is blocked in B102 on 29 Dec 2021,so this resulted in a flooded room

Thank you to both gentlemen at the reception desk to help us with check in and toiletries at that time of the night because we were locked out in our initial hotel. They did an outstanding job up to our room arrival. Thank you so much! The room was perfect with a marvellous view.

Dissapointing customer service. I spent R2K + on a balcony room to capture the sunset on video, was unlucky to be put above the pool with noise from road and guests. Staff seemed to feel like it was too inconvenient to approve me using the (empty) conference facilities which would have cost them nothing, and then scoffed at me when I asked to be moved as an alternative. Waste of my money and completely avoidable. I expect more from a 4 star hotel. So sad for such a beautiful venue with so much potential. Was considering using them for business events but will certainly not do so.

This is a superb Hotel. Rooms are huge and wonderfully designed, Price is excellent value, and staff can’t do enough to help. The restaurant WAVES is awesome. I’ve stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels in Cape Town and this is definitely one of my best experiences. This will now be my number 1 choice when I visit Cape Town. Would highly recommend. Well done to all of you. Mark Segal

We had a lovely stay here! Small technical issues with our room otherwise 5 stars, service was top notch and the room service in the middle of the night surpassed expectation. Just a bit of a walk to the locals, but transport is readily available.

We booked in on the Friday to Sunday to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we were warmly welcomed by the reception staff, check in was so easy and quick. When we go to our room, we were surprised with rose petals around the bath, on the bed and cake to celebrate our special occasion. The view from the room was absolutely beautiful, I was able to relax in a bath and look at the beautiful ocean. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The service is really great, I love that they come around in the evening to check if you are needing anything like clean towels, water, etc.

Great hotel. The staff are really nice. I told them it was my husband's birthday when I confirmed my booking, and they had a birthday card, cake and macarons waiting in our room. That was just an excellent touchπŸ‘Œ

This place is Wow. We were treated like a King and a Queen. It was our wedding anniversary and they went out of the way to make the stay special. They upgraded us to a Junior Suite for free. The view from the balcony was breath taking of the sea and the mountain. Wow. Stunning coffee in the room. We were also given a huge slice of complimentary cake and macaroons. I will be back here again. Thank you for our wonderful stay. Keep it up

The experience was perfect, the ladies at the reception were so warm, kind and welcoming. The cleaning staff were excellent, always made sure my room was fresh and clean for the 8 days I was there. The Potter was so friendly....The bfast was delicious but the dinner meals were not that great except for the ribs. The view from my room was out of this world...it was overlooking table mountain

The best General manager of all the hotels I have been all over South Africa and abroad. Truly remarkable service and the staff are great because of his ability to work with people.. Will certainly return

I would like to invite the hotel owner to spend an Easter weekend here, or a morning from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. I wanted to sleep there because I had to work at night and chose a 4 star hotel, due to Assuming that it's quiet, I can't get sleep because the staff is screaming so loudly across the corridors and or on the cell phone or listening to loud music. Otherwise the craftsmen are active until the evening hours and also on Sundays and public holidays. An absolute cheek . STOP IT !!!immediately 😬😑

Stunning hotel with incredible views. When I did stay here, the rooms were comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Recently attended a function at the venue. The food was decent but the staff could benefit from improved ethic. Walking around during speeches and taking orders. In addition staff were not able to adjust lighting etc The venue itself and food was excellent. But unfortunately let down a little. The doormen though were excellent. Friendly and caring and aware of what people wanted or needed.

Porters very welcoming n reception was excellent.. Nice big rooms great facilities but the house keeping sucks. Lien should be changed daily in a 4 star hotel. There's no excuse for that.. There's zero excuse.. I hope this improves as I would like to go back n to a better experience. The house keepers need a serious training. Restaurants staff should also serve food n drinks on clean trays not wat I experienced it was disgusting...

This hotel is everything I dreamed of. It has the most beautiful view, the prices are reasonable, the rooms are so comfortable and the staff is very friendly. My work colleagues and I hosted a conference here and the meeting room was well equipped and we didn’t have any issue. I’m so happy I stayed here. I recommend it!

It's with a very disappointing heart that I am writing this review. We've supported this hotel from day 1 and booked at the hotel almost 10 times already. I stayed in room A309 for the past 3 days. The reception staff are friendly and welcoming as always but as I entered the room I saw the light switch had some poor workmanship. My bath was dirty and the carpet had a wet red stain. As a hotel your cleaners are suppose to tell management that the room is not ready as the carpet is still wet. It was a cold day in Cape Town on Wednesday and decided to order in room dining and work in the bed while working on my laptop. By accident I messed cheese sauce on the bed and cleaned it as much as I could, by the way I had two single bed in my room so I left the messed single bed untouched because I knew they will change the bedding. I slept on the other single bed. On Thursday as I got into the room I thought they have changed the bedding because the untouched bed is now clean. As I opened the bed I saw they just flipped the blanket so the mark can be on the inside and not visible on the outside. As a hotel bedding must get changed if dirty. The shower wall have visible water damage. I felt so disgusted and felt rooms and not cleaned well and I couldn't get myself from eating breakfast thinking if the rooms are not cleaned properly then I don't want to even think how the kitchen must be, even though I paid for my breakfast. I placed my dirty towels on the floor to be changed for clean towels bu lt the same towels were hanged again as new. I'm really dissatisfied and disappointed. I will not return to the hotel as this is my second bad experience with this hotel. I would rather pay R1000 more and stay in a clean hotel. I'm really sorry guys as I don't write bad reviews but it's just too much and when checked out the receptionist did not ask me about my stay.

The service in the restaurant is atrocious. The security for accessing the lifts is via the room "key" and it's a real pain as you can ONLY access the floor of your own room and not other floors. But the hotel. Itself, it's location and rooms are great.

Awesome place to stay at. The staff are very friendly and willing to work to make your stay enjoyable. Rooms are clean and the view is excellent. Pool is well maintained with a great view. Easy to get to and from the beach. Felt very safe. Only issue is The Waves restaurant. not a great experience.

The staff are so friendly. They really go the extra mile. Room was immaculate. View of 'the mountain' was sensational. The breakfast the following morning was really lovely. Will definitely stay there again if I have the chance.

I wouldn't give them any stars if possible. A horrible experience. We booked a room for 150EUR to spend new yrs eve there. We got there and at around 6PM we noticed that our room is full of smoke and smells like cigarettes. Reported it and we were told it's the house next to the hotel (okaaaay). At around 8PM the same thing happened. I was visibly able to see the smoke and there were other people in the hotel as well who complained about it. Nothing was done. At 3 PM I was woken because my room was once again filled with the smell of cigarettes and smoke. I went to the reception to report it again. There were other people complaining as well again. There were two guests who were just smoking in their room and it was horrible. We were told to just try to sleep and we'll sort it out in the morning. In the morning we were offered another day in the hotel. We respectfully declined because the night we did stay there was simply horrible. Furthermore we had already made other plans for the next day so we could not stay even if we wanted to. The person we talked to (seemed like a manager) said that they will refund us our money the next monday. Sure, okay. That's nice. Thanks! On Monday they said ''request the refund via booking.com'' - did it. And now booking.com is saying that Blaauwberg Beach Hotel is rejecting the refund request. :) That's Blaauwberg Beach Hotel for ya!

Beautiful spacious rooms ...one of the hiccups was that we went for a weekend, asked for a king sized bed and got stuck with two single beds that was really uncomfortable...not to mention we had to finally go to reception to fetch our bag which was promised to be placed in our room a couple of hours ago. I have to give them a well deserved πŸ‘ for the breakfast box which was more than enough for two...thank you to the Tahir who organized it and for the person who packed it. I would like to go back seeing as I like to give places a second chance at an excellent service...

Really good facilities and stunning location. Room spacious and comfortable. Why then the low rating? Had dinner and received good service from the waitron and food was not bad. Stay was terribly soured when I signed the bill to my room, left the restaurant, went to my room and down again to go outside. A different waiter (who had brought the bill) then says I have not paid. Tell him it's signed to the room and he then says I have no credit or room. Head back in and in the discussion I ask him why he followed me out rather than ask inside. He says it looked like I was leaving (read running away!) I reported this to the manager next morning and she said she'd deal with. No correspondence a week later in this regard. Spoilt a good review option!

We're pleasant place to be. Nice change of scenery and definitely a place to take visitors and even spend the weekend Services is very professional and staff is always smiling and very quick to assist. I'll definitely visit again.

Staff. 100/10. Rooms. 100/10. Restaurant. 6/10, but good staff. Bar staff at Pebbles really good! Keep away from rooms with an interleading door. Too much noise passes through the doors and walls. But overall a great experience. Think they'd make more money if they sorted their website and did a little more marketing.

Arrived on my wedding anniversary, in the room was a delicious cake waiting for my wife and myself. The restaurant is pretty good and the breakfast is fantastic, it's a petty I am on a low calorie diet. The room I stayed in has a fantastic view, the room is spacious. I will update as the visit proceeds.

Area is about 40 mins from the airport. Justin was the person who dealt with me, he was immediately very welcoming and warm. The place is absolutely beautiful, ocean right across. Room has all the things one may need. Lovely note and little things left on arrival, very sweet. Can walk along the promenade and it is a safe area. Restaurants are a 15min walk away although there's one downstairs, I haven't tried it yet. I'm in my day 2 of 5 as a birthday treat so hoping all will still be as good. There's a gym, pool and spa as well, still to try that. But definitely recommend!

Absolutely breathtaking views, amazing breakfast. It's definitely a special place to make a lifetime of memories. Visited with my 4 month old baby, and spouse. The area is safe, especially if you're with kids. Highly recommended.

Service was not what is expected at a hotel of this caliber. We had checkout and recheck in after a one night stay, then we were not given the same rooms as before. Staff need to pay more attention to detail. Location is good however ten of the twelve months the wind howls here,so if you do not enjoy the wind then the view might just satisfy.

Epic views of the ocean and table mountain! Property was beautiful/ modern / clean and up to its standard. The breakfast buffet was incredible and had an amazing variety of dishes which all tasted amazing. The room was comfortable, clean and luxurious. The coffee machine was epic especially in the mornings and evenings. The on the house item was also appreciated and noticed. Staff where professional and welcoming. Affordable and would come again.

Recently my partner and I celebrated our anniversary and also my birthday. The warm welcome, the staff, the catering was out of this world. Overall their hospitality and customer service is outstanding. We would definitely visit this place again. It would have been 5 stars however there was a minor glitch with their restaurant, we just did not enjoy their menu. Breakfast was super good though.

Spacious rooms, I enjoy taking a bath and watch TV at night to unwind, then during busy mornings taking a shower is ideal. The fact that sometimes the water takes long to warm up is my only complaint. The food at the Waves restaurant is delicious (especially the buffet style), ordering from the menu is also quite affordable. The Blaauwberg staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating, especially those at the front desk and Charles at the restaurant. They bring a wonderful atmosphere to the place.

When I made a reservation, I informed the hotel that it was my wife birthday on the Friday that we arrive. At our arrival we were received with smiling faces and my wife was congratulated. When we arrived at our room we were greeted with the most beautifully arranged plate with eats and warm felt card and letter from management. This was our first visit to this fine establishment and most definitely not the last. You guys knocked it out of the park. We salute you on a job well executed. Keep up the good work team.

This was our first time checking into the Blaauwberg Beach Hotel and it most certainly will not be the last! The day we checked in was not only the 2nd stage of our honeymoon, but it was also my birthday and the hotel staff were phenomenal from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. After a distasteful 1st stage of our honeymoon ended (De Ware Jacob), we had no expectations upon entering the room at Blaauwberg Beach Hotel. But boy oh boy were we pleasantly surprised!! When we entered our room, we were greeted with rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bathroom floor, the bath (which is in the room) had rose petals spread around the edges and in the bath. Our gowns were laid out on the beds with more rose petals and there were two stunning carrot cakes and a little mini tin bucket of macaroons for each of us. One plate said Happy Anniversary (not quite but the sentiment was adorable) and the other plate said Happy Birthday! What really blew our socks off was the hand written card from the Hotel wishing us not only a memorable honeymoon but wishing me happy birthday. This was the touch we had expected in the 1st stage of our honeymoon, but Blaauwberg Beach Hotel, you definitely made up for that experience 100%. We felt like royalty in our Table Mountain facing room. The staff were extremely professional and friendly and answered the questions we had with a welcoming smile. At dinner we enjoyed the most amazing food at their Waves restaurant (2 course dinner for 2 - what a treat!) and the next morning we were treated to the most well presented and thought-out buffet style breakfast. Blaauwberg Beach Hotel will definitely be seeing us again. The best service and experience by far! World-class! Thank you for the amazing memories!

What an experience. I am out of words thinking about my stay there. It was amazing. The view is breathtaking, the rooms are out of this world. The staff is amazingly perfect. I loved every minute of it. Definitely going there. The food was scrumptious πŸ˜‹

Gorgeous rooms. Love having the bath "in the room". Everything you need is available. Friendly staff and willing to assist with anything (we asked for extra towels and hangers). Only 2 criticisms: 1- the restaurant has a very limited menu 2- the tvs in room only have a sports channel and news channel. Absolutely no movie channels, no discovery channel. Very , very limited.

The staff were awesome... Like Lucia the front counter staff was so friendly and ready to answer all our questions. Even helps us to prepare breakfast the last day of our stay cos we were to leave early for the airport.. Not forgetting Alex the staff in the lounge. He was ever ready to prepare us a special cup of coffee. His service is also very much appreciated. Thks Guys.. U made our stay awesome.
