Came in for a late supper and ordered their November Flat bread special with a side green salad. I got a Greek salad with a lot of yellow and red sweet peppers. Charged the Greek salad fee but it showed green salad on the invoice. The Malva pudding was the highlight of the evening and was an excellent serving. The hotel restaurant is always a very relaxed place whatever time if day you come. My waitress has been really caring without being intrusive.

Had such fun making the most of a winter special. Hotel staff were friendly and personable. The room was neat and very comfortable. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Portions were super generous, the food tasty and staff all lovely. We were really impressed with the effort they made to accommodate special dietary requirements. We would love to go back again soon.

Fantastic stay at Krystal Beach hotel. Checked in for our honeymoon as well as our getting ready room for before the wedding. Amazing friendly staff and such a warm welcoming experience. A special thank you to Lee for all your help and friendly service. The room was lovely and clean with stunning views. Cannot forget to mention the delicious buffet breakfast. Definitely will be coming back.

Gorgeous hotel with incredible views and in my case a seaview on both ends of the room making it feel like you are surrounded by the ocean. Management was helpful and kind as I'm a very difficult guest, food and buffet breakfast was above standard and Crystal Beach Hotel is more of a 5star Hotel. See you again soon. Thank you for making my stay pleasant and enjoyable.

Fantastic view, chic rooms, beautiful art, friendly staff... And average food. The breakfast is great but lunch and dinner are plain and the salads are boring. Drinks selection is average too. Otherwise it's a fine hotel

Check in: Reception was friendly, effiecient and cordial. We did not have our bags with us as parked in the general beach area, but had an expectation that staff would at least inquire or suggest assistance to the room including guest parking. We were informed that our room was on the 4th floor, lifts only reach the 3rd and stairs would be the way further. After asking about parking I was directed to the underground entrance and that we do not need to show any evidence that we are guests. My understanding from the security/parking attendant is that you need to verbally confirm that you are a hotel guest to get access. Lifts reached the 3rd floor, however there where no baggage carriers, so expect to make more than 1 trip if you have more than 4 bags and 2 people able to carry. We only received instructions to our room and parking after arrival. No other guidance was offered. Room: To be fair to reception, the hotel was booked through "Daddydeals" on discount, with the general type of room being suggested, but not the exact room i.e. we booked a standard double room (one queen bed, garden view etc.), but received the double bed, on-suite bathroom (spacious shower, his-hers basin, toiet, big shower), mini fridge and TV (expect static on every single channel). No garden view, balcony (our expectation from the deal advertised), stairs to the fourth floor had the banister missing on the first flight and anchor lying on the floor on the landing. The room was clean, received warm welcoming water, with the expected coffee, tea, milk and kettle. The room felt immediately clausterphobic due to the slanting roof, however the full length mirror made it feel spacious. My expectation was to receive some sort of warning, caution or indication to expect a certain moderation in this type of room. After connecting more than two devices to the WIFI, it became a matharon rather than the expected sprint Cyril's internet. Facilities etc.: Apart from reception not being able and later corrected by a more experienced staff member of indicating where the nearest smoking area is, I want to praise the dedication of the staff we dealt with in person, always helpful, accommodating and cordial. Late dinners, speciality drink requests (shout out to the vodka strawberry milkshake). All looked cleaned and cared for. We were away from our room for 3 or more hours with the "Please make up the room" sign just to find that the room was not made up (see conclusion). Check out: We had a 2 night stay but checked out after day 1. Very much for the reasons above and just the general restriction and uninformed way we felt. On check out there was a general thank you for your stay. I expected a conversation on the "why early check-out" at minimum, but was not affored the courtesy, even though were new guests checking in. A follow up "howdydo" would have been appreciated. But check-out was seemless and efficient. Again, the staff at this place can't be complety faulted for the rating. Conclusion: Make sure you know what you sign up for before booking or paying. The 4th floor definitely felt like the preverbial red headed step child, an afterthought. I would never suggest that the 4 star rating is underserving, but check the 4th floor....You definitely get what you pay for if it is not directly through the hotel. I would suggest that this is more a review on the deal-sites rather than the hotel it self. We left a day early, ask me why?!!

Extremely disappointed in the Sunday Lunch (17th December) we experienced. The team organising the menu and advertising did an excellent job, making the lunch truly sound mouthwatering. Unfortunately, that was not the actual case. We were seated and brought our welcoming drink, which me and my fiancΓ© had the same drink, but was served in two different sized champagne glasses. We were the second table to go dish the starters. Nothing seemed fresh. The bread rolls were ALL stale, the fruit, cheese and cold meats were left out for a while by the looks and taste of it. We did not even attempt the oyster (topped with bacon bits) or shrimp cocktail salad. The chicken skewers were the only okay item, being a bit dry still. We were hoping that after the disappointment of this that the Main cooked food would be worth it… the roasted beef was super dry and hard, the pork belly was dry and not tasteful at all! (No spiced apples or Thyme as advertised). They did not have the creamy red pepper pesto chicken, baby spinach, garlic and pecorino cheese, they rather had some chicken in a gravy sauce. The only eatable items were the rice, oven roasted potatoes and the mixed vegetables. We moved onto the desert, the donuts were rock hard (probably close to a week old), all the fruit were overly ripe. The cupcakes and brownies seemed fresh, but only worth one bite as they were insanely sweet! Service was fine, we did ask the waiter to bring us new cutlery after our main and she did bring some. Telling us where we should find it if we want a new set again. I’m sorry, but that is ridiculous to not want to assist with getting something a customer wants and then expecting a nice 10% tip for just bringing drinks and taking plates away on a Sunday Lunch Bill? Every single plate we had was chipped. After our β€œlunch” we left feeling very unhappy and disappointed. This was the worst experience we’ve had in the past year for dining. We will not recommend or advise anyone to have a lunch here until this establishment has seriously done some work on what they offer customers. We regret going here and spending our money, where there are so many other establishments we could’ve had the pleasure in visiting.

Stunning views with the beach at the hotel doorstep. Rooms were big and clean, with the robes and slippers adding to the experience of luxury. Eleanor handled my group booking, and I can commend the service.

The place is very clean and well maintained. The rooms have modern finishes. Breakfast was good Dinner was disappointing, spent R255 on tough hard steak. Kids chicken wings not well seasoned smelling Oil Kids Beef Burger patty not good quality smelling live cow. There a lot of restaurants nearby

A clean environment with friendly staff. Our children really enjoyed the pool and the spacious rooms. We felt very safe at the hotel. Coffee could have been better.

The is one of my favorite hotels in Cape Town.Awesome location. good for family.Their buffet dinners to die for. I always over eat myself on the scrumptious buffet breakfast. The rooms are classy and modern. Their gym and swimming overlooking the Indian Ocean. There are other restaurants just next to the hotel if you require a variety of meals. The beach is located on the doorstep of the hotel, and the panoramic picturesque views of lagoon and ocean a heavenly view. I highly recommend this hotel for occasions family events and a tranquil getaway

Great setting and cleverly planned to avoid prevailing winds of Gordon's Bay when outside (for the most part). The rooms were very good and service was awesome. I wasn't overly impressed with the food, and feel that it was a shame they didn't offer a slightly better menu. On the plus side, there are restaurants within a stones throw from the hotel.

We really enjoyed out time at the Krystal Beach Hotel but also the interaction with the service team there. I had done a booking through a third party booking agent but when interacting directly with the hotel staff they were friendly and professional. They go out of their way to try to assist you. In terms of the check-in is quick and efficient, there is underground parking if required. The rooms are need and modern and other than the shower which was smallish and had water hitting the bathroom floor, the room catered to all our requirements. The hotel staff took care of our special requirements and arrangements with no hassles. In terms of the restaurant, Aziza took care of all of our dietary needs, and she goes out of her way to cater for us. The dinner she arranged was top notch and then she had made special arrangements for breakfast. There is a wide range on offer for the buffet breakfast, it was busy but there was enough space and staff around to ensure all guests needs to met. We will definitely be considering returning there for another visit. If you going with a family try to get the family suite.

On behalf of Peace Parks Foundation, We would like to thank Eleanor and team for exceptional service over our conferencing and accommodation at Krystal Beach Hotel. We have only received great feedback from all of the attendees. The entire team enjoyed themselves very much and were very happy with their rooms, meals, and the great setup during our workshops. Thanks again to Eleanor specifically for your amazing coordination skills, your patience and for keeping track of everything up until the very last minute! Your entire team can be praised – from the kitchen to the reservations team, but we would like to give special thanks to the conferencing team – Steven, Nathan, and Llewellyn (I hope I have the spelling correct and apologies if I omitted anyone) - they were always present and more than willing to help with utmost professionalism all the way. I cannot even count how many times they were just at the right place at the right time solving any of our issues in a matter of minutes. You can be super proud of your team all round. Kind Regards, The Values Team

Lovely little hotel... On the harbour with sea 🌊 view... The room was nice and functional... With all the necessary items.... The conferencing facility was pretty nice the desks was a bit tightly packed an inch more space would have been better.... The huge issue was the audio system especially the mic receiver that only has one channel.... Caused a lot of confusion and but people figured it out by day 2.5... But can really do with better systems.... Food was okay most of the time. They made a great deal of effort to get fully halaal catering. Just the demarcation needs improvement and timing especially for breakfast.... The reason for the Lower service ratting is that I requested an iron and I had to ask three times.... But eventually got one...

We had a 2 day workshop. Steven was our host at the conference room and he was just amazing. Friendly, and attended to all our needs. He was so professional and checked every detail to make sure our workshop went very smooth. The snacks during breaks were great and the lunch were amazing.

Eleanor hosted and planned our wedding at Krystal Beach Hotel and I can honestly say what an incredible person and asset to the business she is. Her kindness and professional manner went above and beyond to work with us when putting our wedding together. The venue is absolutely beautiful from the restrooms, entrance foyer, yacht decks, dance floor and dining area. We were delighted and so happy with our choice. The food was absolutely amazing (guests raved about it!) We are so grateful to Eleanor and highly recommend giving the hotel a call and booking your wedding venue at this beautiful hotel you will be blown away. Call her and get your wedding venue quote!!

Had a great breakfast with friends staying at the hotel. Great selection of food. Service was good. However the public toilet facilities in the dining area need urgent attention. Male side door not locking and toilet seat dangerously loose.

What an amazing experience. We recently had a two-day strategy workshop at the Krystal Beach Conference Center with a one night stay which I can best describe as excellent service, amazing facilities and friendly and helpful staff. Thank you. You have exceeded our expectations for which we are most appreciative. Well done! We will not hesitate to recommend this amazing hotels and conference center.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel on the weekend of 23 & 24 September. All the staff were friendly and the service was great. Walking down the corridor to our room we experienced a fresh clean smell. Our room was spacious, clean and well kept. The breakfast and dinner was awesome with very generous portions. The facilities are all great. Well done to everyone involved for running such an excellent establishment. Highly recommended.

My parents haven't been on vacation for almost 31 years. We recently won a two night say and decided to give this to them. My dad is a difficult man, to put it mildly, so I was very worried about the stay. However, every morning I got an update either saying how FANTASTIC the breakfast was, or how well decorated and beautifully clean the rooms were. Thank you for your wonderful service and their incredible stay!

Wonderful staff always friendly, I had a peaceful stay. Also liked that I BBC oils go to gym and for a swim after my gym session. The bay view has amazing sun set views.

I don’t even want to give this hotel a star for that matter. I honestly think we overstayed our welcome. The staff is making it very clear! They have no phone etiquette, especially the kitchen staff. I phoned 21:30 to place a order for my kids. The guy who answered the phone said YES when he picked up. Not even a good evening or how can I help. When I complained to reception about his behaviour they refused to take my order and reception didn’t do anything about it! This is not the first time something like this is happening I had many complaints about a lot of things but this was the last!

The hotel is beautiful, views are amazing, food was delicious, room was clean and tidy. Only missing the 5th star mark because of their service/ lack there-of, as they weren't very attentive to our basic requests. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

Went there for lunch. Restaurant was fairly quiet. Service was good. We required wheelchair assistance on leaving and this was immediately available. We ordered the starter calamari and a Caesar salad. The salad was disappointing. It consisted mostly of cucumber but had plenty of mixed nuts. The mustard sauce, served separately, was too strong for my liking.

great selection from buffet filled our tummies to the brim. Lovely view of the harbour. Ample seating inside and outside. Great service and friendly staff. Browsing through the art gallery helped settle the fill. Specials every day of the week means a 2nd and 3rd visit is definitely on.
