"The
only
guest
house
on
the
beach
in
Hout
Bay".
Nope.
200m
from
the
beach
and
ocean,
and
that's
when
you
walk
down
the
street
a
little
bit,
and
you
take
a
hell
of
bumpy
path.
You
cannot
hear,
see,
or
smell
the
ocean
from
this
guest
house.
The
dunes
covered
with
pretty
flowers
do
not
count
as
the
beach.
Sand
does
not
equal
beach.
Princess
Street
must
be
the
busiest
street
in
Hout
Bay.
There
are
never
ending
cars
driving
past
from
early
in
the
morning
until
very
late
at
night.
We
could
hear
our
neighbours
quite
clearly
and
they
weren't
being
loud.
We
had
a
fantastic
view
of
a
wall
from
our
room
(#8).
There's
a
reason
the
room's
pictures
don't
include
pictures
of
the
view.
Parking
area
is
very
big.
The
room
itself
is
quite
nice,
it's
roomy
and
has
everything
you
need
(except
a
heater
that
actually
heats
the
room
and
an
aircon).
The
bathroom
is
pretty,
the
barn
doors
are
just
a
pest.
Careful
with
closing
and
opening
those.
Bed
and
pillows
were
comfy.
Nice
colour
scheme.
The
service
from
the
ladies
cooking
breakfast
and
the
guy
who
seems
to
be
Jack
of
all
trades
was
impeccable.
Three
super
nice
people
who
were
so
helpful.
The
one
lady
makes
the
best
scrambled
eggs
I
have
ever
had
in
my
entire
life,
I
had
only
eggs
and
toast
for
4
out
of
my
5
mornings
there.
She
has
a
talent.
The
most
amazing
muffins
were
available
as
well.
No
sauces
or
coffee
making
facility
in
the
dining
room
though,
you
have
to
ask
for
everything.
Hout
Bay
in
general
is
a
letdown,
it's
neither
charming
nor
village.
Impoverished
area.
Very
busy
but
not
in
a
good
way.
Most
locals
that
we
spoke
to
did
not
have
nice
things
to
say
about
the
place.
Easily
one
of
the
most
unfriendly
towns
we've
come
across
in
our
vast
travels.
