185 on Beach is a magical, whimsical piece of paradise in Gorgeous Bay. It feels like you are somewhere in Europe on an island, meanwhile you are in South Africa. The rooms are spacious and modern, the kitchenette was thoughtfully equipped with everything you could ever need and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. This is by far one of the best stays I have had on my Kaalwoorde Tour. The views make you feel like you are on a boat at sea and all of a sudden all your troubles seem far away. I would whole-heartedly recommend 185 on Beach for your next visit to Gordon's Bay or even Cape Town. Treat yourself to a 5-star experience and book NOW! You won't regret it.

My wife and I are local to Gordonsbay. We had our home painted and did an improptu visit, supporting our local businesses. Booked in at Richard and Jeanettes Botique hotel. Well, all I can say is, what a treat. The detail of this lovely place is beyond words. We loved the personal touches of the owners photos, awards and news clippings. It is as if we were old friends. The scenic views, friendly patrons, and luxurious bedding, made for a well rested evening. We slept with our balcony door open to smell the ocean and listen to the waves carressing you to sleep. Jeanette, we are looking forward to another impromptu stay at your establoshment. Pity we could not Award it more than 5 stars. It deserves another 2 stars at least. Thank you for this little paradise place in our backyard.

Beautiful location and friendly staff. However this place does not meet 4 star rating, this is 3 star accomodation. The bed has had its days, its worn.. you roll to the middle of the bed and the pillows are bad, the linen had hair on it. This was the worst night sleep i had my entire trip down the western cape. Very small and not for a family, rather a couple.

This place is breathtaking. Walking distance from activities. View is superb and relaxing. Room was neat and clean. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Highly recommended.

The place is quite, clean and beautiful. The staff so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is so delicious and well prepared 😋😋. We enjoyed our time there and will definitely visit the place again. The place is great value for money.

5 Starts all round - Spectacular Location ! Magnificent Sun Sets ! Exceptional hospitality ! Outstanding accommodation ! Better than Home from HOME ! Having spent 7 days here we felt absolutely at home, as much as we wish we could have a home that looks and feels as amazing as 185 on Beach. The look, feel and atmosphere at 185 on Beach makes you want to stay longer and enjoy every day just once more.
But sadly all good things come to an end - We will certainly be back . The Staff are always smiling and welcoming, always willing to assist, from the moment you step out your room ( Mini - but not so Mini Apartment) to enjoy that morning air and bathe in the glorious sea breeze over a fresh cup of coffee "Absolute Paradise" ! Your rooms are superbly well thought out, with all the needs and comforts you could want and more, amazingly spacious and total luxury. Can’t wait to return !

One of the best Airbnb experience I have had. The accommodation really brought out the best in Gordon's Bay. The most perfect setting in the area with terrific view and great access to the beach. Jeanette the host was amazing. There was a municipal crises with water for about 2 days and Jeanette pulled out all the stops to help with this by organising alternatives venues where we could shower. We stayed in the penthouse which was very well kitted out and comfortable. Staff very obliging. My only caution with the penthouse is that access is via a 2 story spiral staircase, which was fine, but won't work for people with mobility issues. Otherwise highly recommended.

What a beautiful location, right at the oceans edge. Lovely hotel, perfect rooms. Close to amenities too.

This hidden gem in Gordon's Bay will blow you away with its beautiful views of False Bay, Bikini Beach and the old harbour - the bedrooms are impeccable with charming touches such as roses and beverages. Most suites are conveniently kitted out with a fridge and facilities for longer stays. The bed is so comfortable you will not want to leave - ever! One can go to sleep with the door opening up onto the ocean listening to the waves all night long. Jeanette, Richard and their team care deeply for their guests and put their hearts into their business. Their staff will crawl into your hearts instantly - what special human beings work at this beautiful bed and breakfast! We cant wait to visit again in the future! Its a must do for anyone visiting the Cape Town or Stellenbosch area

This is the most amazing place to stay. The host couple are extremely friendly and welcoming. The villa and apartments are situated right along the beach with the most spectacular views. The villas and apartments are so beautiful. By far one of the best places I've ever had the pleasure of staying at!

This is what a vacation stay should be, what is advertised is what you get just beautiful. Positive words from others I most definitely can confirm. Regarding cleaning also I share that view. It is not a problem you really need to go looking for problems to find them. This apartment had the same like extra hotel service. Will I recommend it to family and friends, most definitely. My score 4,8.
