Nitida Wine Farm

Tourist attraction β€’ Winery

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Tasted some really nice wines ... though Nitida is known for their white wine, we found their red wines (especially the Merlot) a good drinking wine. Pleasant afternoon at Nitida. People often mention wine, tasting, wines, experience, lovely, service, good, restaurant,

Did not get to wine tasting this time. But had quote some of the Wild Child. Awesome wine. The lunch was very pleasant with the Pork Belly and the Nutella CremΓ© Brulee being the stars of the show. Servers all friendly and efficient. Scenery beautiful and with some history entwined.

Relaxed and open area. Great fresh air and good service. Their meals are prepared quickly and they taste πŸ˜‹ amazing!!! It has an area for kids to play which I found to be accommodating..

We arrived without a booking, and they were very accommodating as they were fully booked but could squeeze us in. When the weather is cold, they only have +- 5 tables indoor, so highly recommend booking in advance. Small and intimate tasting

On the website the farm looks absolutely amazing! I was so disappointed. We ate at Cassia restaurant. The food was well presented and tasty. Ooh my but so over priced for such small portions. The wine tasting was a bit of a bore. The lady at the wine tasting didn't make the wine tasting interesting. I'll take my hat off, they do really great wines! Thumbs up for the wine.

We had lunch at the Bestro/deli...there was a variety of light meals to choose from meat, chicken , fish as well as veg options...the food was good as can be seen in the pics...had the tacos salad option & partner had the Korean chicken...setting is lovely & there's a kids play area with indoor & outdoor seating area...the service was friendly...the only issue was the state of the toilets...they are in a bar state & need to be revamped...the toilet did not flush & the handle was brocken so improve the bathrooms & it will be a perfect Bestro...

I can honestly say without any doubt that my burger was the most underwhelming and probably worst I have had anywhere in Cape Town. I have never seen a thinner or smaller chicken fillet ever accompanied by a very, very thin slice of tomato and an inch of lettuce… not even one slice of onion. For a grand total of R140!!!! Seriously over priced and overrated restaurant. Just remember Chef, one never gets a second chance to make a first good impression.

Worst Wine Tasting experience EVER!! The staff are so unorganised and not efficiently able to assist guest upon arrival. My husband and I were hosted by a waitress that had no experience with wine pouring or etiquette. The lack of knowledge and service was absolutely pathetic. We were served all of our options (champagne, white and red wine) all in the same glass, which hinders the taste of the next selection. When we asked the waitress as to why our glasses were not being changed for each selection, she said β€œdue to the amount of guests that have arrived for the wine tasting, there aren’t enough glasses to change for each wine/champagne, also not many guests that arrive to our tastings are picky about having their glasses changed.” (Meanwhile behind us was a wall full of glasses) We suggested that she at least rinsed them before each tasting, she then brings the glasses back rinsed, however completely soaked and didn’t have the decency to wipe them down. Has no clue how to open a bottle of wine, was completely battling the cork broke in the bottle. When we asked questions regarding the white wine selection, she spoke of the red wine. This shows that there was no service training involved. When asked she replied β€œwhen I pour different wines into the same glass it doesn’t taste any different to me”. This is by far the most horrible experience. Will never recommend the wine tasting to anyone!

Enjoyed a lovely lunch for my birthday at the restaurant with family. Most of the service and food was lovely, just dissapointed that items missing from dishes and we had to ask for these and server struggled to get orders to right people, missed drinks etc. Loved the wine!!

Went wine tasting at Nitida today, they are open on public holidays. Hostess Mieke was very informative and friendly and can handle big groups. They had fun activities for kids on the farm.. Easter egg hunt... and serve platters too. Their wines are world class and the offer MCC The labels on the wine bottles are exquisite. Calligraphy red was so smooth.. Sauvignon blanc at its best.. Joined their membership.. Oh and they deliver wine too! Qualified for discount. Over all great experience.

A lovely and casual place for brunch or an afternoon drink. Stunning setting, with green lawns for the kids to enjoy and a lovely jungle gym. I love the flexibility of sitting inside, on the covered patio or on the lawn under the shade of a beautiful umbrella.

Tables at Nitida restaurant was lovely. It was a bit noisy, but the food was good. We went wine tasting afterward and they wouldn't serve the kiddies pairing to my 15 year old and her friend as they said it was for U12 only, yet she had it served to her in July this year. The menu also does not say that its for U12s only. Very disappointing.

Went to The Table. Food was awful. The fried onions were like leather and when we politely complained, they substituted with a mound of overcooked, wrinkled chips. The pulled pork was dry and served in a type of β€œpita” bread. No salad, just dried pork and awful chips. Charged us full 5 star prices. Not impressed at all. MacDonalds would have been a better choice!!

I absolutely loved the ambience and atmosphere... what I experienced at my previous wine farm visit was business and here I just immediately fell in love with the place.

Beautiful tasting room, friendly staff and delicious wine. My faviourate was the Calligraphy 2018 Bordeaux Blend style.

A lovely wine tasting experience. Where you get to know a bit about the wine and taste the variety based on a specific selection

The wine is fine, and we had a lovely lady that helped us at the wine tasting, but if you want a real wine experience and get your palet to enjoy the wines, rather go elsewhere as they told us that we cannot order a basket of food from their own restaurant (which we did and is amazing!) as it is supposidely 2 establishments so the customer comes second. We've been before and I convinced hubby to try it again following our last experience (we brought 10 foreigners) but once again going away not feeling welcome, and can unfortunately not promote these wines and the farm to our friends from overseas. Rather spend your time at other farms in this area that really understand that wine tasting actually is a whole experience, not just drinking. We usually buy ag least 2 cases at wine farms, but once again leave with buying a single bottle...sad.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Since moving to cape town 3 years ago I have visited D'Aria maybe 15 times. Could actually be more. I have also recommended it to anyone who asks for good food, good wine and a beautiful atmosphere. Love the wine tasting, the restaurants and most of all the food. It's my favourite wine farm.
