Silwerstroom Resort and Caravan Camping

Campground

😐 Well priced. Tidal pool is nice. Camp grounds are basic but well maintained by Neville and his crew. The chalets have been upgraded and I will definitely be test driving them at my next visit. Network and internet coverage is weak and spotty at best at the plots but better at the gate office. Brian... Well priced. Tidal pool is nice. Camp grounds are basic but well maintained by Neville and his crew. The chalets have been upgraded and I will definitely be test driving them at my next visit. Network and internet coverage is weak and spotty at best at the plots but better at the gate office. Brian the manager is friendly and approachable. They enforce the rules regarding for example noise well with plenty visible policing. Keep it up Brian, Neville and the crew. Maybe a swimming pool and additional amenities for kids could be contemplated.

I went for a day visit and the children enjoyed it. One of the safest, clean and well looked after beach in the City of Cape Town.

Silverstroomstrand camp site is the best value for money for camping during the week. It is close to home (from anywhere in Peninsula), safe, long beeches for walking, safe, well maintained and very reasonable. The scenery is striking. For pensioners looking for a quiet camp close to home, it is ideal.

Open area to picnic or braai at with a tidal pool day, seating and ablution. Visitor area is free of charge. Vehicles are searched for liquor and peta as neither are allowed.

Good day i dont have a problem with the place or the picnic area. i however have a big problem with the bookings office you email and call the contact number after making a booking then no one answers the phone and they dont reply to emails to me this is very unproffesional.why do you have this number and email adres if you ignore your phone when it rings.and the website shows its full but its not full the booking office wants to book people that they want to book.

I was invited to join a camping trip here. Nice enough grounds. Our campsite is surrounded by shade cloth. Cannot see the beach or waves. I understand its for the wind but that's what comes with camping, wind rain sun & the crawlies. All part of the parcel. If your looking for a view you need to leave the camp area to go find it. So not impressed, will pass on this place next time

Whilst the resort for day visitors are free theres relatively nothing else rlexcept a patch of grass next to the beach. I suppose visitors come for different reasons but for me it was a no no. The atmosphere was great. No alcohol is allowed which is most helpful and the law enforcment team is very friendly. But in the final analysis all you got was a patch of grass on the beach.

Uhmmm. People were drinking on the pavilion even though the security checked everyone's boots for alcohol. I can just wonder how the alcohol fell through the cracks lol. I mean they checked my boot so thorough that is was strange that there were such a lot of people openly drinking on the beach.

Went yesterday as day visitors. Lovely place for the whole family. Place to picnic, to braai (table and benches with shade) and to camp. Play equipment for children. Tidal pool awesome. Very clean. I am in a wheelchair and although there is parts where can go it's not altogether wheelchair friendly. Can't get close enough to the pool nor the beach. Toilets are quite a distance to walk depending where you are. Overall very pleasant. Well worth going to.

Besides for the showers that nobody enjoyed,as it went off after ever 20 seconds while still in the shower, the rest of the place was pretty awesome.. Play park kept the kids entertained and the guys could also take some time of to go fishing. Admin amd security at the entrance was alao very accommodating and friendly.

Awesome place at the sea; braai, picnic, fun in the sun, blue flag beach-with all the required facilities. the only downside=parking is far from the picnic and brai spots

We were a Church group and were harassed by the security personnel for bringing in 2 bottles of Red wine and we explained that we are not hooligans but elderly grown ups .the wine was foe our Communion as per the norm with the Anglican Church if SA.we pleaded even when our Priest a respected Senior Official in the SAPS tried to explain , but all in vain. Our Priest was threatened with a warning of being chased with the congregation by Law Enforced Officers by the time we started our service and supplementing wine and wafers with bread rolls and water.our spirits were already badly affected spiritually. We appealed to God to fight our cause as Black People .

I really enjoyed my time at the silverstream campsites. The facilities are great and it is well priced. Situated on the beach, you couldn't ask for a better location. It's also a great venue to hire out for a music festival. I can definitely recommend this campsite it's also only 40 minutes out of Cape Town
