Impeccable service. Lovely old styled house turned into this gorgeous restaurant. A new decking area that looks out onto the garden and moutains (in the distance). The food was probably the best I had in the time spent touring the different wine farms. Lovely space and outdoor area for the little ones as well.

Ridiculously slow service. We waited 20 minutes for a a sparkling water and two coffees. Then, after 50 minutes, I gave up waiting for my food and asked a friend to cover my tab, because I had to leave. I hear the food was good, but I never got the chance to see it. The times above are not exaggerations. Waiter brought us menus before checking what time the kitchen closed, then made us wait to place our orders, because he was worried that the kitchen was closed. It wasn't. Starter delivered without cutlery. No seasoning at the table. They have overwhelmingly positive reviews so we probably just got unlucky. But to get this unlucky, you have to be visiting a restaurant with a training gap. Note to the owner: yes I did complain to the manager, but only on the way out after it was too late for him to do anything about the situation. Update: the owner's motto is "the customer is always wrong". Check out their responses to bad reviews. We were _not_ told to expect delays. The function in question was fading by the time we arrived. Less than half the seats were occupied outside and only one other table was occupied inside. Your manager is a straight up liar. Good luck to you.

Brilliant service, with even better food and the most stunning view over the Swartland! 10/10 would return. P.S. The dark chocolate log dessert is off the charts yummy!

My husband and I went to lunch at Mariella's to celebrate our anniversary. We were greater by James, the most wonderful host and waitron we have come across in literally years. He has such warmth, attentiveness, knowledge and the perfect amount of attention to be a great waitron and not invasive on the occasion. We were greater with a platter of desert and a congratulatory message followed with fresh bread and olives and then the most perfect pork belly and chicken breast filled with smoked venison. Presentation and taste absoluut 5 star. All of the while sipping delicious cold white wine and looking over the vista of farmland the stretch to the horizon. The highlight for us was that they not only accommodated my disabled husband but made us feel like royalty. Fine dining with not a single negative. Highly recommend.

First time ever, but definitely not the last! We went on Saturday, seated upstairs at a beautiful table for 2. Food was absolutely delicious, so was the wine! We had a mini cheese board as a starter and shared a tasting board, the pictures don't do justice, so delicious. Ended with a wine tasting too at our table. Wine was so good, we had to buy more to take home. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. I think our waiting was Jos, baie dankie vir 'n lekker dag Jos.

This is a well hidden gem in the Cape Farms as you need to follow a long dirt road before you arrive at Capaia. But it's well worth the drive as the location is truly spectacular and amazing for families with kids. The restaurant has an outside deck where you can enjoy fabulous views of the countryside. The kids have two playgrounds at their feet to keep them busy. There is a larger one with a huge slide, swings, a climb wall and trampoline. The second one is more suitable for toddlers and right in front of the restaurant so that you can keep an eye on the little ones. There are also lovely picnic areas on the lawn where you can chill out on cushions and enjoy your glass of wine or simply the sounds of nature. Just arrive early on a Sunday afternoon. We didn't know that the kitchen closes at 3pm that day and could only enjoy a drink, unfortunately. But we will definitely come back for lunch another day as the food is really amazing, too!

We have been coming to this great place for the last 5 years and it seems to get better every time. Superb food matched with great attentative service makes this a must do when choosing your next restaurant. The sirloin on the bone with the baked potato is simply unbelievable. Well done. We will be back soon.

Having visited the Galileo open cinema, it was fantastic! Staff were exceptional and went out of their way to make you feel individualised. Food was great and a perfect addition to the experience. I would like to have seen more vegetarian options as that may be a make or break factor for some people. Otherwise, a great experience!

An unbelievably good experience. The front of house manager James took such great care of us. The food and wine is superb and it would be hard to find better views anywhere in the Swartland. We will be regulars at Mariella’s for sure.
