MUST GO IF YOU'RE in the area. Animal obsessed and had so many different species including peacocks, pigs, cockatiels and cute little baby bunnies. Just a lovely experience. Pies were very average though! Bread looked incredible and so did some of the sweets.

The place is beautiful, so we decided to sit outside and enjoy the scenery but the food is expensive and the wait ridiculously long. We waited 20 mins for a waiter, 20 mins for our drink order and another 30 mins for our food which was cold by the time it arrved and another 15 mins for the bill. I wouldn't go again and overall an okay experience.

Although the restaurant is currently under renovation, you can still get some tasty food to eat. Also the meat deli is still open as well as the shop. The zoo is also open for you and kids to check out.

What a pleasant surprise this farm stall was. While the jury's out on whether they serve the best pie in the whole of South Africa, I will give it to the restaurant that they serve a damn good pie! And the hand-cut chips (which I suspect are double-fried) were to die for. We got friendly, competent service from the waiter and the manager. The unexpected animal farm was a treat, as was the beautiful setting.

The food was good. Staff were super helpful and very friendly. When I left our waiter said, ' next time we will have....' he quoted the 2 things I enquired about. Awesome. Great for kids to see the animals. Outdoor eating available

Lovely farm stall and quaint eatery, perfect for a pitstop. However, I am not a fan of petting zoos and it feels like the animals on-site do not have enough space or clean pens. Hope they can do better with this in time.

Do not eat the pies or samoosas. The pies was filled with sago and hardly any meat in a steak pie. No sauce just grey gelatinous mess. Threw it away. For a place to have a sign saying worlds best pies and then serve this

Lovely family outing. Decent food and service and the home of great pies. This place has a nursery, Feeding animals and some amazing birds as well as a great play area. The perfect stop to break a trip up the west coast. Prices are fair and the nursery boasts some great specials. Ask in the shop for animal feed.

The Farm Stall consists of different small shops and places to eat. The petting zoo is amazing, providing you an opportunity to walk amongst the birds in a big bird cage. Different animals, including lamas, donkeys, pigs, and smaller animals, live there.

Very cute stop on your way out of Yzerfontein. Large variety of goodies to buy from fresh meat, to Ouma Bread, plants and pottery. It has a small petting zoo and nursery as well as a store selling local arts and crafts. Beach activities also advertised.

Lovely place to stop and have a quick meal. Staff is super friendly. Great place to take the kids as well with well secured play area as well as some animals to feed. Typically farm style breakfast and their toasted sandwiches are the best. We also tried the cheese and onion bread they bake fresh daily and it was truly amazing!

Really enjoyed their hand baked pepper steak pie. They have a great selection of authentic Western Cape products that you won't easily find in RSA. Great last stop as you head out of Yzerfontein.

This is a fun spot to stop at when you're not in a rush and the world and its wife isn't there to celebrate a public holiday... We stopped in for a loo stop on our way to our destination, the to buy the truly excellent pies on our way home from Langebaan. There is much to appeal to my creative sensibilities - the variety of plants for sale at the entrance, the bread-baking visible through a window, the amusing sign outside the loo, the thatched roof, the gorgeous parrots out back. This remarkable place offers entertainment that you will not get at home, doom-scrolling through the misery of world affairs. The vibrant art by Suzet van Schoor will certainly remind you that there is joy to be had, and you might at well savour it while there's still breath in your lungs. Be motivated to start your own hobby, write a poem, hug you loved ones.

First time visit, has a fruit and veg store, restaurants, gardens, nursery, bird sanctuary, play area for the kids, car wash and general store with various varieties of biscuits and risks. Beautiful scenery while having a bite to eat and known to have the best pies.

This is a must stop whenever we visit Yzerfontein. The playground for the kiddies is really nice + the array of animals they have there makes it an awesome place for the whole family. Very friendly staff.
