10/10 from food to service! If you are a seafood lover, don’t think twice and order the prawns. Best prawns I had in a while wow. The miso eggplants did taste a bit burnt but the rest of the food was so good, didn’t bother me at all

Had a lovely sunday lunch at this restaurant. We were welcomed and served by Morgan who was the most brilliant waitress I have encountered to date. The way she explains the menu just makes you want to order more. Surprisingly we finished it all because it was exactly as she described. The salmon was cooked to perfection. The prawns were amazingly buttery and soft. The steak was exceptional. The desserts were to die for. The calamari was quite average though. The restaurant has gorgeous ocean views. Our experience was amazing and we will most definitely be back.

Yet another hidden gem in Sea Point. The staff was kind enough to fit us in without a booking as this was a last minute decision. I loved the dim lights, the classy decor and the refined menu. Our waitress, Joy, was amazing, very caring and professional at all times, thank you so much. I am usually not too keen on game or venison but tried the springbok paired with a delicious local red wine and it was pure perfection. The fried pineapple dessert was quite frankly outstanding. I will definitely be back.

Whether you’re looking for a quiet, Cousy time with a loved one, colleague, friend of alone, trust that this restaurant will offer that. Firstly loved the warmed I felt when I walked through the door, wonderful staff. We made a booking prior but because of the weather we were able to be moved inside. The floor managed kept checking how everything was, our waitress was able to paint a picture if the menu to my friend. The food was absolutely delicious, thanks to the chef. En all round beautiful Cousy restaurant. The have an outside and inside bar.

Wonderful tasting menu and the venue is really spectacular. The service was impeccable. Definitly a must do! Tip: book at sunset for a sky show on a clear day

Went for dinner last night, it's a really beautiful restaurant and I had heard many good things about it. I wanted to try the tasting menu, but there's a few elements on some of the dishes I don't eat and I also wasn't sure if it would be filling. I tried it anyway. To my surprise it ate every element except the nuts on the second dish. Every element in the dishes just worked. My favorite had to be the steak, and we will definitely be returning to try the ribeye. The tasting menu is very well priced and it's actually quite filling. The cocktails are amazing too and service from all the staff next level.

Fantastic place for a special celebration. Sophisticated ambiance, with beautiful sunset view over the ocean. So glad we discovered this and kudos to the legend from Arthur's Mini Super for telling us about it! Always ask the locals!

Great experience! Nice environment,amazing food and excellent waitress "Merci". She was very attentive, extremely educated on the menu and gave great recommendations for dinner.

We had a wonderful dinner at Zest! Our waitress (unfortunately I forgot her name) was incredibly attentive and looked after us very kindly. The food was top notch. A big recommendation if you are in Cape Town!

This is a real hidden gem in Sea Point , don’t be put off by the entrance as it looks like you’re going into a Spar store ! You’ll find the restaurant up on the 2nd floor at the rear with a beautiful terrace with views of the sea. Wonderful casual vibe with food that’s equal to fine dining ! There were four of us and every dish was exceptional. The staff are wonderful with a fantastic knowledge of the menu … such a find, 2nd visit to SA and probably the best meal we’ve had, will definitely come back on future visits to CT.. would give 6* if I could 😊

Had dinner here recently, and I enjoyed. Service excellent and food was really wonderful. The egg plant was such a surprise , really amazing attention to detail. My only problem was that they need to pay more attention to the tea selection and quality. Overall great stuff

Beautiful view and dining room. Food was delicious. Cocktails were inventive and enjoyable. Service outstanding. Great job working with my gluten free request. What a lovely way to spend a Saturday evening.

An amazing and affordable tasting menu with a beautiful ocean view. Was pleasantly surprised because it’s tucked away on the 2nd floor and you have to search for it. The line fish and steak were top notch. Service was good and the meal had a good tempo. The only down side is that the drinks were lightly infused with alcohol and barely contained liquor. We made a reservation and asked for a view and we’re not seated even though there was always an open table. Tip: ask for the tasting menu because it wasn’t presented to us. Worth it as it’s the same price as a main and has a lot more variety.

The food was amazing! The flavours popped in your mouth! The staff were friendly and had good knowledge of the food and drinks available. Quick service despite the rush (almost too quick for me though. I would have liked it a bit slow to enjoy the dishes and atmosphere). Overall a really good experience 🙂

Spent the Sunday morning enjoying breakfast at Zest Restaurant. My friend and I decided to share our meals. We had the Eggs Benedict and Butter Flapjacks. The Benedict was great especially the hollandaise sauce but the flapjacks were a bit dry. The fruit and honey with the flapjacks were really good so that was the upside. We both chose the berry smoothie and it really was delicious. We did make a booking beforehand but they do accept walk-ins. We were quite late but they were super accommodating and we were able to choose our seat. We opted to sit outside due to the stunning weather and the lovely ocean view. Kirk was a great waiter and went over and above to provide us with extra plates so we could split the flapjacks easily.

There prawns are a must to try the fillet steak was good also but the prawns was my favorite and I don't evens eat prawns lol

Came along for an early dinner alone with no reservation and the team were able to seat me on the terrace with a lovely ocean view. Very nice decor. The service was exceptional and welcoming. Highlights were the Zest Margarita, calamari & prawns. Everything is grilled and delicious!

Stunning interior – very classy looking restaurant. The restaurant was very busy and very full, but we still received outstanding service – thank you to our waitress Mercy – she was great! We decided to just have tapas as our starters and mains: Wood fired tomatoes – 10/10 – I wish we got one each! Tomatoes done 4 ways, just delicious. Citrus cured line fish – 8/10 Eryngii mushrooms – 8/10 Prawns – 8/10 Grilled baby calamari – 6/10 – it was overcooked for us, hence the low score Fish croquettes – 5/10 – definitely wouldn’t order this again, there was some sort of sweet bbq type sauce which we didn’t like and the fish croquettes weren’t very fishy We had the chocolate fondant for dessert which was a special – it was just how a chocolate fondant should be – 9/10 I look forward to going back!

One of the best gluten-free experiences you can have at a restaurant. Yes, there are many exceptional restaurants in Cape Town, but at most of them when they hear I am celiac the choices are a salad or steak with no sauce (or the scarier alternative where they seem to not really care). At Zest from the moment we first were seated and my husband informed the waiter taking our drink order about my celiac they gave us great attention. They brought out gluten free bread specially for me. Then our waitress Anishq really knew which dishes were and were not gluten free, and all were delicious- especially the smoked tomato salad and prawns. But the most reassuring of all was we ordered chocolate fondant, then she came back to let us know that it way not gluten free and offering other options. Clearly they were paying attention and knew what was going on at multiple levels. Plus even the busboy knew the menu and mentioned which of our dishes were his favorites. Such an excellently managed restaurant with exceptional service, and all so delicious!

Dear Staff and Chef of Zest Restaurant, I would like to start by saying a huge thank you for making my mom's 80th birthday so special. Nelson and his team were professional, the food was absolutely amazing (kudos to the chef) and the privacy of the cordoned off room was just what we needed for our celebration. I have been to many top rated restaurants and Zest is right up there offering the finest dining experience. I am so grateful we chose this establishment. Our guests, ourselves and especially the birthday girl were very happy. Keep up the good service and serving the finest cuisine. We will definitely be back! First visit today and I'm TOTALLY impressed. Absolutely gorgeous restaurant layout and a breath taking view to enjoy while dining. The amazing friendly staff makes you feel so special throughout your dining experience. AND THE FOOD 10/10 😍... Such attention to detail when preparing dishes! Loved my salmon main and my amazing pumpkin cake with peanut butter ice cream & grilled pineapple. I'll be back to try the prawns as a main!!!!
