BEST MUSSELS YOU CAN FIND, HANDS DOWN! I ordered the fish and chips and that was delicious as well! But let me tell you, as a person who isn't big on mussels, I could've easy ordered my own portion and happily finished it! Wonderful!

It may not have the sea view but the food is really excellent with some different from just the usual options. It was a little quieter too than the waterfront cafes but it makes it a bit less rushed. We also chose this restaurant due to it's excellent reviews.

We were referred this restaurant by our air b n b hosts. This is a quaint little restaurant with a lot of character. The waiters are friendly and the food came out of the kitchen quickly. We had the fish 'n chips, pasta Alfred and the chicken salad, which my friend said was one of the best salads that she had ever had. Plenty parking, easy to find. Walking distance to a few shops. All in all a great experience.

lots of good to say about this place. great service, incredible fries, the veg burger was said to be the best one in my group has ever had (he’s had a lot), good gin and tonic, nice setting. my fish was decent but a bit overdone/dry. I’ll definitely be back to give them another shot.

Highly recommended! The little cafe is so sweet and cozy, it was really enjoyable sitting here. The service was excellent and the food superbe. The fish and chips is great, as well as the cheesecake for dessert. Would come back any time!

The place is so cozy and warm. The menu is great, and with many different options. I love the atmosphere and the music so soft. It's always a pleasure to be at this little gem. The owner is really nice and welcoming

We stumbled, by chance, apon this delightful restaurant in Simonstown. The venue is 'fresh', bright and filled with natural light. We were welcomed by Luci our waitress. The chef visited our table for feedback. The service was prompt and friendly. My meal of Eland fillet done in red wine was excellent! My partner had, what he claimed, the best pork belly ever. The crackling apparently cracked like glass - huge smile. We'll definitely be back for more of the chefs venison specialties. Thankyou for a most pleasant surprise. (We have just had our 2nd visit to this delightful eatery. As before, pleased we did.)

The Lighthouse Cafe used to be one of our favourites in Simonstown, but we were very disappointed today. The Fish & Chips was more batter than fish and the Veggie Burger was dry and tasteless. Why restaurants think it is in order to present a dry hamburger bun is beyond me. In addition the salad leaves (lettuce, mint & basil) on both plates looked like it was previously used on other plates. Very sad and wilted. We did point it out to the waiter, but no apology or explanation was offered. The coffee was great, but sadly not good enough to warrant a revisit.

We loved this restuarant! The atmosphere, the food, the service, the music....everything was just perfect. We did not have a booking and were very pleased that they could accommodate us. The staff were very friendly and as the kitchen is in full view of the tables, you could see that the staff and owner were very friendly and amicable with each other. We had grilled fish and calamari and it was delicious. The cappacino was very good and the cheesecake was creamy and well made. This restuarant is definitely a light house in Simons Town!

One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Yellowfin Tuna, outstanding, cooked to perfection The Mussels brought back memories of eating fresh mussels in the South of France. Good service, Always busy, do make a reservation you wont be disappointed.

Really great restaurant, with lovely food and great service even during loadshedding. They really pay attention to the quality and freshness of the food they serve. Not ocean facing but well worth it for the experience!

They serve a variety of seafood dishes. Today I tried Mauritian Bouillabaisse, and it was delicious. It tastes like south Indian food.

I stopped here for breakfast one morning while visiting S.A. It was tasty. One staff member flagged us down in our car and waved us in. Turned out it was a good decision to listen to him. If you find yourself visiting town, looking for penguins like me; this is a good place to fuel up for the day.

Nice place with many vegetarian options, the waiter was very helpful explaining the menu and giving suggestions. Had the catch of the day with the apple crumble for dessert. The only thing is that u leave smelling food.

Great breakfast am today. From their extensive menu we enjoyed the omelettes and coffee. Best part of the visit was the friendly service by Prince and Philip. These days we no longer live in Simon's Town so each visit is a treat. Receiving good service thus adds to the pleasure of visiting.

This little restaurant in the heart of simon’s town was one of the best experiences ever ! we had our anniversary dinner at the lighthouse cafe after locals highly recommended it and it beat all our expectations! what a super nice and warm manager/owner he made us feel so welcome and chatted to us about the food and restaurant and asked a bit about ourselves - this place truly feels like home 🥰 such a lovely atmosphere ! the food was beyond amazing, I had the yellowtail fish with roasted veg and mashed patatoe and my boyfriend had probably the best alfredo we’ve both tasted ! would HIGHLY recommend the light house cafe 🤍🤍 thank you so much !!

Right... So we stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant while busy road tripping. The aesthetic is beautiful (rustic), the service was excellent (the owner/manager) went out of their way to find us seating as we were quite a large group and their tables aren't the biggest and then there is the food. We had the beer battered fish and chips and my gosh... This was absolutely amazing. Best we've had around this part of the Cape.

Very friendly and accommodating service. Loved the chicken livers. Didn't care much for what was named as "focaccia".

Great coffee. Relaxing atmosphere. Open early. We were there for coffee and a muffin. The staff were lovely. Popular spot for early morning bikers.

The food is really great. It’s a cute restaurant with really good staff. We had a burger and fresh kabeljou (fish) and both were exceptional.
