While
I
definitely
wasn't
privy
to
the
warm
welcome
mentioned
in
other
reviews,
The
Muize
is
still
a
pragmatic
option
for
a
short
stay.
It
has
more
in
common
with
a
boarding
house
than
a
B&B,
in
that
you
get
simple
accommodation
without
any
of
the
hospitable
gestures
of
a
hotel
or
guesthouse.
There
are
a
lot
of
strict
rules
to
follow.
Many
amenities
which
comparable
B&B
offer
free,
such
as
coffee,
cost
extra
here.
It
took
some
negotiating
to
be
allowed
to
use
the
room
and
parking
until
the
standard
checkout
time
of
10am
(although
there
were
no
other
cars
in
the
car
park,
we
were
asked
to
park
on
the
street
from
9am).
This
obviously
sours
the
experience.
Breakfast
was
basic
and
limited
in
choice,
but
the
fruit
salad
was
freshly
made
and
the
hot
dishes
were
very
nicely
done.
The
room
was
small
and
functional,
with
a
generous
bed
and
high
ceilings.
As
you'd
expect
for
a
house
of
this
age,
there's
not
much
sound
insulation
at
all
and
you're
likely
to
be
woken
by
the
dawn
chorus.
Bring
a
sleep
mask
too
if
light
sensitive
as
the
curtains
are
thin.
