Got told that they could not change my watch battery without breaking the strap, that it's waterproof seal would be compromised and that they would scratch the body of the watch. Got advised to take it to a professional watch maker/repairer. Went upstairs to Winhall & de Stadler Jewellers who not only guaranteed they would not break the strap, scratch the body or damage the waterproof seal, they were CHEAPER! Went back to confront the manager of H&D who had no answers for his stores incompetence. Only thing I would get from this store is the cheap jewelry outside. If you can't even change a watch battery I am sure never going to buy anything of value from you.

The service from Harris & D’arcy Jewellers was outstanding. The staff was friendly when I phoned to get help with my online purchase. And the delivery was on time.

I bought a simple silver bracelet for my wife. This simple bracelet has been such a pain. It has broken three times. Each time taking numerous days and up to two weeks to be repaired. They refuse to refund or exchange the item without a receipt. They acknowledge it is their product. But cannot do anything about it without a stock number. A classic example of a business making their problem the customer's. It's not an expensive item. Good faith on repeated breaks on a defective product should be to replace or refund. Nevermind it is part of the implied warranty with the Consumer Protection Act.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE. If you want to throw money in the water then this is the jewellery store for you. Bought a wedding ring in Dec2022 .. February 2023 the stone fell out .. they gave me a new ring .. June 2023 only 3 months later the new ring stone ALSO FELL OUT. What Mickey Mouse company is this that sell wedding rings .. that DOES NOT LAST LONGER THAN 3 months. I ask Shabier the owner my money back. As this was not the first time the quality of his product has failed me. And HE TURNED ROUND AND MAKE ASIF I DAMAGED THE RING .. and refused to refund my money…. Please guys this store make cheap rings … selling it for lotsa money and take NO RESPONSIBILITY IF IT BREAKS .. I will never support them .. and please don’t support shops like this.

Absolutely incredible quality of work and service. I had to have my wedding ring repaired because it chipped. The ring is so old and brittle it couldn't be repaired so I met with one of the owners and after being very nervous to trust someone and sending it in I got it back in such an incredible condition it looks even newer than brand new. Extremely impressed with the service and the incredible quality of work done. Even got new rings made and other repaired and they are worth every single cent. Terrible customer service, and poorly made products. Firstly, I was misquoted a price on a pair of studs, and then had to pay almost double once they were rung up. My daughter really liked them so I let this go. However, I also purchased hoop earrings, with the specific requirement that they do not 'pop' open easily, as my daughters are active and have lost earrings that way. Tried the mechanism in store, it was fine. Got home to find that the earrings literally pop open when you just pick them up. Took them back not even an hour later, to be told 'no refunds or exchanges on earrings' - a policy not shared upon purchase nor stated on the receipt. The salesperson took them and did something with her back turned to me, and then stated that they were now 'fine'. This leads me to assume that the quality of production is poor, as I have to assume she bent the part that goes through your ear to make it sit tighter. This means they will likely be easily bent back outcof position, leaving me in the exact predicament I was trying to avoid. I am incredibly frustrated to know that I have basically wasted good money and was offered no alternative solution.
