Had a wonderful experience, awesome waiter even tho he missed the order a bit but was our fault for chatting away with him too. Steak, burger and drinks was fantastic.

Food preparation is good. I enjoyed the Monday burger special. Service is a bit slow, it took 15 minutes to get a waiter, and 25 minutes to get food. Very friendly and nice people serving. After burgers we ordered another special, waffles, a cherry on top was missing but it’s ok. Overall, it took a little more than 50 minutes to get food from the time we entered. Food was affordable. Music is good, but loud in volume for my liking, Gqom music.

The manager Faeka introduced herself to us. Our waitress was Alletta very friendly and helpful.Her service was Excellent. We received a warm welcome from spur employees from the time we entered untill we left. Within record time we were served with our meals which was delicious. I highly recommend your branch. My Sister's and I decided to meet up and do Brunch at Abenaki Spur Promenade...Little did I know about the pensioners special that's available..So,I ordered my meal,and swopped out my onion rings and chips for veggies instead... What a delightful experience for all 3 of us... Everything was tasteful and I was pleasantly surprised at the way it was plated too..so thank you Abenaki Spur Staff and Chefs..

That is our go to place for eating out. I just wish that when we order steak well done,that it's actually well done and not under done. Because it has become an issue where we wait about 40 minutes for our meal to arrive and then we have to send our food back because the meat is still bloody. My intentions are never to give a bad review because I love Spur. I love the atmosphere. But if they read this, could they try to prepare the meal as requested. Well done... Not medium rare. Well done. No blood. Please. Other then that, I love the restaurant. I won't stop going there. But just get my order right the first time please guys. Your restaurant is the only go to restaurant I enjoy eating at. I really don't want to switch to a different restaurant. Thanks for all you do. I appreciate it.

Good food, on hands waiters, secure and good supervision in the play area. Managers on patrol if you need to complain. Their new chicken thigh combo is a good and value for money. You should try it now today. If you don't have cash, they do have the card machine. They just don't accept laybyes.

I haven't gone to a Spur restaurant for a long time, but the food and the service from the Supervisor Jackie and her waiter in Mitchell's Plain were excellent. Parking is so near the entrance.

Can someone please help me understand what size are these thighs or were meant to be thighs or Abenaki Spur don't take us serious. I bought a takeaway, the meal was suppose to be 4 thighs and 400g ribs instead I got what seemed to be a thigh cutted in 4 pieces.

The food is usually good here. We only had waffles and Nachos. Only critique is that there is no ventilation, air-conditioning, nothing. It was so hot and it felt suffocating. Honestly need to improve on that for customers to have a great experience all round!

For the first time after a long time I was so happy with my order my food was delicious and hot how I like it with the service our waiter on the ball and the manager check up and I compliment the chef

I was at the promenade branch Monday with my daughter, it was lovely, the onion rings was perfect, not fatty or over fried, the chips was perfect and topped up! our burgers was succulent, my mushroom sauce was delicious and topped up, my sundae ice cream was creamy and filled up as usual, my daughters kiddie ice-cream was served very melted but okay everything else was great. I love the consistency, every meal that passed by was the same great portions and up to standard, promenade Spur is theee best Spur in Cape Town and the best Spur in M/Plain! Seriously, we have been disappointed by many spurs recently, we regular spur guest so Promenade Spur for the win, please keep it up!! I love Monday special at Promenade Spur, I will be back Monday with 4 more guest because Promenade Spur is keeping up spur standards!! The kitchen staff is doing really well 👏🏼👏🏼 I am very pleased, I love your branch, the ice-cream is always creamy 🙌🏼 I love ordering the mushroom starter to share and I love that it's consistent and topped up! 🎉

Always great. The managers treat you as family. The new menu is awesome. Probably one of the top 3 Spur restaurant in the Cape. My opinion.

Good morning Sir/Mam, I would like to show my gratitude towards one of your franchises. The particular franchise that I am mentioning is the Promenade Spur. I had been attracted to the spur by the wonderful waiters, who had been waiting by the entrance when they had just opened. I was shown a wonderful sitting area where I could sit and the hospitality that each waiter had on checking if we were comfortable was top-notch. The memorable moment of the visit to the spur was when the manager Porcia came to introduce herself and made us feel even more welcomed. Her friendly and positive energy made me understand why the spur had been pleasant to be dining at. Her energy rubs off on her staff causing the atmosphere to be wonderful. Thank you Abenaki Spur for the wonderful experience. I rate it 1000 out of 100 and recommend it to everyone. Warm regards

I ordered a bake potato instead of chips that comes with the meal. They went out of their way to prepare it but it was done in the microwave and it was hard as a rock and i wanted sour cream with it and they didn't have. Very disappointing. I ordered a steak and wanted it medium as it came on scalled. The steak was dry as it was prepared in advanced and just heated up. Basically it was terrible. 😔

I'm originally from the Eastern Cape. Abenaki Spur has been the first restaurant I've tried since my arrival in the Western Cape. My very first experience has been awful. The onion rings was burnt and fried in old oil. The roll went stale to the point where I had to request butter for the roll. I tried not to be "Karen", so I continued on with my meal. After a few bites, I could not continue the meal. It was just awful. Please refer to the pictures below. These are the before and after pictures. However, after my complaint and refusal to continue my meal. The manager came back with a replacement meal. He was sincere, sympathetic and very apologetic. He handled the situation quite well and professionally. He even deducted 1 meal from our bill. Despite the great recovery of the event. What I don't understand is why would such a meal be offered in the first place? Does a hostess not get proper training?
