What a pleasant surprise!!! Filled with history and character it was my first visit. It was family day and they had buffet ( I am not big on buffets) and too much to choose from ( If your a big eater you'll be in heaven!!! Go boertjie 🤗) and it was delicious. The main chef ( very friendly and may I say he is a very good chef 👨‍🍳) slash owner of the restaurant invited me back for their ala carte ( wich I will definitely come back for) to experience what he has to offer. In between the dishing up and eating there is enough to entertain your imagination when you start to study and get closer to the decor. Not just a restaurant but an experience!

Wonderful food and Quentin is just a legend he has the most amazing memorabilia and he's an awesome chef. Alfresco dining under the oak trees just amazing 👏. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

We were lucky enough to spend Father’s Day at Quentin’s and what a treat. The setting is lovely and with the sun coming through the old oak trees made for quite a view. The tasting menu was really well prepared and presented and delicious. Can’t wait to go back.

Words can't even begin to describe our wedding day spent with family and friends at Quentins. From the start of organizing, coordinating everything and all the special touches, to the impeccable service and the best food I have had in a long time. Quentin and his amazing team went above and beyond. The venue is breathtaking, historical and was just what we wanted. Cannot fault a thing. Incredibly blessed to have Quentin and his team make it so special. Highly recommend this venue for all the attention to detail, top notch service and some of the best food I've eaten in years. Please go and do yourself a favor and go and experience this for yourself. You'll be transported to another bygone era of great service, decent food and fantastic ambiance that you will keep you returning. Over and over again.

A very pleasant lunch in the outside area of a restaurant whose inside is as great as the food. We had a delicious duck liver, lamb curry, and springbok fillet with lived sauce. We ended with some cold “nougat” made with rose water , pistachios and dates. We loved also our service, careful but not pushy , very kind and helpful.

Quentin at Oakhurst - Hout Bay I was invited by friends for lunch at this establishment & I had no idea what to expect. Well I was blown away by the friendly staff that greeted us on entering this venue, nothing was to much for them & all done with a smile. The buffet was amasing, the cuisine was so tasty & prepared to perfection. I enjoyed every morsal on my plate, what a lovely gem in the heart of Hout Bay. I must just make a mention of the amasing tasty Malva Pudding, it tasted just like my "Ouma's Malva Pudding" guys it was stunning the best I've ever had. You will be seeing us again & to anybody in the Hout Bay area looking for that special venue with exquisite food & service, look no further this is what you were looking for. To the management and staff thank you for a great experience. Kind regards Ferdie Liebenberg

Our first time here - and what an experience! Great food, friendly service, amazing ambience.... a definite new favourite for us. Thoroughly enjoyed it - and absolutely loved the personnal interaction by Quentin, with all us guests. The difference between hands-on and out-sourced or sitting at the bar management styles! We will be back. Thank you for a brilliant experience.

The food is amazing! We had the 3 course meal and it's big enough to satisfy even the biggest appetites. Caramel tart and mousse cake ended the day perfectly and Quentin's personal touch is very special. Truly a worthwhile eatery to visit!

What a little gem...not often you would get duck on a buffet menu. Wholesome, warm and delicious. Quentin himself is hands on, friendly and an amazing host! Highly recommend this wonderful venue steeped in SA History. Authentic, rustic and waitrons that enjoy what they do when they serve. A place filled with love...

Lovely elegant venue. Nice Hungarian trio playing music, good food etc. Service a bit on the slow side, and unfortunately ran out of our chosen dish. Happily they offered an alternative and a compensatory meal. Would definitely recommend.

Had dinner in the place. Quality products were used but the combination of flavors was strange and not to my taste. Music was 70s and older. We

Excellent food, drink and service in a wonderful antique-themed renovated barn. Fine dining twist on traditional dishes. Well sign posted and parking available. Probably wise to book in advance.

Genuinely the food was the best so eloquently presented and genuinely delicious. Opinions from both the vegan and meat eaters. To be honest I am hard to impress and everything here was impeccable. The atmosphere is very discrete for those wanting a more private ambiance without the pretentiousness of many.
