Just suggestions/tips before you go: - You will have to pay for the item you choose to paint ranges from R70 - R250 - You also pay a R40 studio fee - If you decide to eat and paint the tables will be full with your paints and tools as well as the food and drinks. Better to either paint first and then eat or the other way around (the waiter/waitresses do ask if you wish to either or) - Depending on your design it may take up to 3 hours - Also best to Google some designs before you go as if you trying to make something up on the spot it can take time. Regarding pricing: - the food and drinks prices are decent however you have to remember you paying for the item you paying as well as studio fee. -If you choose a high value item, with buying something to drink + eat, you are likely to spend close to R350. And then still tipping Side notes: The place is lovely and the views are great! A great vibe with friendly staff! Food was great as well! Pretty drinks!

Perfect for couples and that first date. If you want to show off your painting skills. Really cute place and friendly staff. The food is good, would recommend the Gyro! Honestly looking forward to the final product. And looking forward to going back!

Good food, relaxed atmosphere. Enjoyable place to come with a group of any age. If you have back issues the chairs may not be the most comfortable and there are stairs which may pose difficulty to people with physical disabilities.

A great creative activity to slow down from a busy week! 4 stars on the food, cause we only ordered a plate of fries for the table and some macaroni balls, but it had bacon, which wasnt noted on the menu. Overall a wonderful concept which should be explored more. Will be back for more creative memories.

Absolutely loved the whole atmosphere, extremely therapeutic. 🎨🖌️👩🏻‍🎨👌🏼 I enjoyed every moment. Down side , our table just felt slightly cramped with all our goodies & food & drinks as we were 4 people but I am definitely visiting again. Already received a voucher from the kids for mother's day that I need to use

Great restaurant which allows you to let your "inner Picasso" out. I had fun, the staff was friendly. This is a perfect spot to spend time with friends/colleagues/even a first date. I wasn't a fan of the Open Gyro (grilled chicken) (too salty for my liking) but the pizzas looked great.

Such a relaxing and fun experience. The clay plates and mugs were not expensive and the baking of it reasonable. It took about a month to collect and we loved the finished products. A place to spend time with the kids or just to take a break. Very enjoyable

Amazing food and we had a lot of fun painting our ceramic items with some relaxing music to get you into "the zone!" Studio fee of R40pp which includes your paints used and firing of ceramic item. Food is affordable and delicious and the service was great. Highly recommend this for a special occasion, birthdays, or just a fun date night idea! :)

My girlfriends and I had a great time at this restaurant - food was good too. We were serviced by Dean who really elevated the entire experience - patient (as we had lots of questions!) and was nice. Would recommend they come out with a faster solution for tourists who are here short term but want to take their designs home!

The atmosphere was exceptional, however the service we received was not great. We arrived an hour late to our reservation, so perhaps that could have been the reason for their lack of care, however we did apologise upon arrival and were reassured that it was okay. One of the friends I was with had been there before and we made it known to the person who helped us upon arrival, perhaps this also contributed to the lack of service. We had to go through the pottery pieces by ourselves, no guidance whatsoever. Waited quite some time for our waiter to attend to us, and then he explained the different techniques etc, however no information on where to find some of the items in case it were needed, so had to figure out a lot on our own. In addition to that, we had to wait a while for our waiter each time we needed something (the place was very empty at this stage so that was highly odd). The food was okay, a bit overvalued. Despite the poor service, I’d definitely give it another shot at some point because the experience with the painting and the atmosphere was really nice.

What a lovely birthday celebration idea! My friend booked a table for 10 ladies, and we had such a therapeutic time painting our chosen item while chatting and catching up. There is a wide selection of items to choose from, and the assistant assigned to our table was so patient with us, teaching us how to create the results we were trying to achieve. We had ordered pizzas for lunch, which were divine! The only downside to the entire experience is having to wait about 5 to 6 weeks for your creation to be ready for collection. Will definitely be back!

We had a relaxing morning of painting and it allowed my husband and in-laws to break out of their comfort zone, while tapping into their creativity. The larger and nicer items available for painting are quite pricey but, may be worth it. There are however cheaper items to select from such as small plates or basic mugs. Surprisingly, it was quite busy on a mid-week morning so, booking is definitely essential. The only reason I’ve given four and not five stars is because right at the end, as we were leaving, a staff member scolded me for placing my tray in the wrong place. It spoiled a very positive experience and made me feel like a school child being scolded by a teacher.

Recommend making a reservation as it's fully booked on most days. Very friendly manager who cares about the customer experience and is very open to feedback, even when the restaurant is quite busy. HIGHLY recommend having the Alfredo Pasta, which is enough to share between 2 people. Our bill came up to +/-R600 for: 2 x objects to paint (R95 + R110) 1 x mocha (R27) 1 x S milkshake (R40) 1 x cocktail (R80) 1 x pasta (R110) - AMMAAZIINGGG 1 x pizza (R120) Would recommend the vibe for a good catch up with a friend or going on a date with someone who's company you enjoy (mastering your little object takes time haha)

I had such an amazing time at Clay Cafe in the city! Thoroughly enjoyed the entire process of choosing my item, my three colours, and painting! The staff are so professional and explain everything so well. Love the vibe of the place, and they serve delicious, well priced food too!
