This restaurant is lovely. The atmosphere is a bit cafeteria like but the food was AMAZING. Had the seafood platter for 1, but really, it served two of us. The rice was so delicious, and the sauce that the mussels were in was so good. It was strange that we had three waiters attending to us. I asked who our official waiter was but was told that they worked together and helped each other. I feel like it's not always great to do this. They were mostly friendly and helpful, though. Overall, everything was lovely. The food is definitely the reason for going to this restaurant.

Great service, great portions. Our waiter, Ryan, was very attentive and friendly. If there is anything less positive that might be worth mentioning, it is that the portions were bigger this time than the last time we visited, so there is some inconsistency. Other than that, we were very impressed.

Have been to Saltwater Grill on two occasions now and the food and presentation has been absolutely amazing on both occasions. A bit pricey but definitely worth it. Service is fast and waiters are always checking in on you. Made a booking for my fiancés birthday and they really made the evening special. Would highly recommend and keep coming back.

Lovely seafood restaurant. Not very big so reservation is advisable. We had the poke bowls...very hearty and big portions. Will definitely go back to explore the menu.

By far the best sushi we have ever had. Lovely service, great atmosphere. The luxury platter for two is HUGE! I absolutely recommend this restaurant to everyone for any occasion. Very very happy

I can highly recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience. They tick all boxes and I have been there more than once. If they were on the coast - their prices would be outrageous, but they are not! Incredible selection and presentation. Great service and just a lovely spot.

We had a wonderful time, from the moment we got there to the time we left. Our service professional, Patou, was very patient and helpful and the food was excellent. Our starter hand rolls were some of the best we've had. The fried potato ring in the salad was amazing in both taste and presentation, the calamari was tender and the braised pork belly kakuni was an eye opener. I'd highly recommend a visit, but do be sure to book in advance as it's a very popular place that fills up quickly.

What a great experience. It was our first time dining here. We did not make a reservation, but was lucky enough to get a table as the place was packed. I had the Spanish seafood stew and my husband had the crumbed calamari and chips. We were served relatively quickly. Service was great. Waiter was friendly, food was delicious and a great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.

We went to Saltwater Grill for oysters and I have to admit that I was disappointed when we got told that they don't have any oysters and they're still waiting for the oyster to be delivered (this was at luch time 12h00). Otherwise we enjoyed our lunch. It was very tasty. We probably have to go back to get the oyster and bubbly special as advertised.

Had a great night at Saltwater Grill for my birthday. Sushi was top class and the mains were also very good. We went during loadshedding (by coincidence) so service was a bit slower and some of the items on the menu could not be made due to working on the generator but we still had a very nice evening with friendly service that went the extra mile for my birthday surprise dessert. Keen to go back for some of the more exotic items on the menu.

A fabulous eatery in the heart of Durbanville. It is very pricey but the portions are great and the presentation fabulous. The staff are a bit stand of fish and not very welcoming. There is a wheelchair friend ly entrance and toilet facilities, however. The tables are quite closely packed so maybe call in advance to ensure a spacious table. Not sure I'll be back but I did enjoy. The poke bowl.

Amazing restaurant, highly recommend the Asian inspired dishes. The sushi was fresh and the ramen bowl was hearty (and good value for money!) Chips and calamari are great too!

Best calamari and sushi I have ever had! Praiseworthy preparation and cooking by the chef! Best compliments! Service was excellent, Vincent did a great job with communication and serving even during load shedding. It was still a wonderful experience. Keep it up, we will be back.

We had a Friday afternoon lunch (during loadshedding) and decided to go with oysters as a starter. The oysters were fresh and served with an onion pickle which was a nice touch. The luxury platter for two exceeded our expectations regarding size. Everything on the platter was well prepared and it was more than enough for two seafood loving adults! The chips were hand cut which is always a bonus ;) Service was quick and our waiter was friendly and efficient. Loved the experience; would definitely return. Best seafood restaurant in Northern Suburbs, Cape Town! Maybe even Cape Town?! :)

Stunning fresh and delicious seafood! Looooove it and highly recommend casual lunch or dinner. We come to Saltwater for years and have been here the second time this week because the mussels were so excellent on Monday. Yesterday the tuna delivery arrived luckily and we were brought to food heaven literally. Thank you Dylan and team for this outstanding dinner. It was sooooooo delicious, again. We will be back with friends in the next days - we are so lucky :-)

Today, I joined a friend and celebrated a birthday party here. My goodness, the food was excellent, and thanks to Sabelo, who provided us with outstanding service. This was a truly lovely celebration. I highly recommend this restaurant. This truly made my day.

This was a nice suprise. The sushi quality was almost at Willoughbys level which I rate the best in South Africa. Just cut your sashimi thinner. You pay for what you get. Expect to pay with a bottle of wine and a shared dessert and a single digestive around R600. Diemersdal sauvignon blanc with this sushi is an excellent pairing. Outside is better than inside on a nice evening.

Food and service were out of this world. We had sushi and calamari as starters which were divine. Our mains were beef udon and the whole baby kingklip. Once again superb. Our waiter Patou was professional, friendly and on point. Would recommend to all. Thank you!
