Don't let the run down exterior of this place put you off. The interior, service and food is really worth a stop. We were celebrating our work colleague's 25 years with the company. We were a big group of over 20. The service was quick and the food tasty and generous.

Coffee is good, Melktertjie Tea is amazing, Food was delectable - we had the Lamb Benedict and the Farm Breakfast - waiter’s service was friendly, and then we had the owners going out of their way to find us something that wasn’t on their shelves anymore! A fautless, stunning restaurant experience - from booking online to service, setting and food on the day. One of the most high quality establishments I have enjoyed in CT. Love how the management have revived and revitalised this grand old dame. I will definitely be back often and recommend them to everyone. One of the best eateries in Durbanville and CT in my view. Beautiful, peaceful indoor and outdoor seating and a nice kiddies junglegym outside.

I would definitely recommend going to Evert Opstal Restaurant. Firstly, the manager was very kind when I called to make a booking. The service in the restaurant was good, and the food was delicious! I would recommend the deli and cheese platter. We shared these two platters (we took the small option), between four people, and it was more than enough, with a very reasonable price. I have been here before for a kitchen tea, and I would also recommend it as a venue for kitchen teas, baby showers and so on. Keep up the good work, I will definitely be back soon!

What a magical experience. The ambience was amazing as was the food. The owner Willie has a wealth of knowledge about the restaurant and the land which it is situated upon. The waitress was super attentive and have I mentioned that the food was magnificent. Will certainly be going there again.

Cappuccino's a bit on the small side, but nice and tasty. I had the lamb benedict. Nice pulled lamb on sourdough topped with the eggs and a dash of hollandaise. It was very nice, but I think I still prefer the bacon option. Nice old building with a great history.

Came here for my moms 80th breakfast. Great food and service. Very cosy - has a fireplace. They have delicious biscuits for sale and doggie biscuits.

Such a hidden gem. Scrumptious pieces of food and the best coffee served in an old building with beautiful chandeliers. The smell of wood burning in the fireplace and coffee roasted just creates a unique atmosphere that is hard to leave.. So you keep on ordering coffee...
