Especially in times like these when some people compare having to wear a mask, being ask or mandated to get vaccinated and to not gather without safe distance to having to live under a dictatorship, it is important to remember those who fought bravely against fascism and colonial rule and sometimes gave their lives! The place is well kept and explanations are in Portuguese, French and English. Entry fee is 200CVE/person for foreigners. Open till 5pm.

A place where you can experience the horrors freedom fighters went through just because of having a different opition about the Portuguese colonial regime.

Very interesting journey into the history of slavery business and multiple ways why people are thrown into prison for decades. Too many decades. Information shown in Portuguese, Spanish and English. 200 Escudos entrance.

Historical place that should be maintained a bit better (grass and weeds almost block the walking paths)

Nice visit of a historic place, it is frightening to read the description of what those people had to suffer. Some of the buildings are now completely empty, which does not bring a lot of interest, however it is a place to visit.
