Had a wonderful experience hiking with this guide. He told us many interesting facts about the natural park as well as many informations about what’s currently going on on Cape Verde islands. I would also recommend taking a guide to go hiking in a natural park because it’s easy to get lost there. 10/10!

Edmilson does a great job. You really do cover the whole island. It is quite a bit of driving but with frequent stops, including interesting places s visitor would not get to without a guide. His English is excellent. Highly recommended!

I booked a hiking in Serra Malagueta with Rural Tours in August 2023 as a solo female traveler. My guide, Delvine Patrick, showed up early and arranged transport for me. When we started hiking I realized I booked a 3 hours tour but there was also a longer tour available and he was extremely available and agreed to change the program with no problem. He was not only extremely prepared and professional, explaining me every detail of the nature that surrounded us, but a great and friendly person to chat about many things which made the hike really fun. He showed me some spots which were really hidden gems and I will never forget that. He then gave me many tips on other local things to do and taste (he gave me great info about local cheese and sweets) and made sure that at the end of the day I got home safe. My experience with Rural tours was amazing, I hope I'll get the chance to come back and also recommend their service 100%, for both tours and transport (they also do Airport pickup). Obrigada!

We did a hiking tour from Serra Malagueta down to Rebeira Principal together with tour guide Apollo. Pick up and transfer service from/to Praia was excellent. The walk is easy and just downhill with nice views to surrounding mountains. Apollo explained all the trees and plants (i.e. beans) along the track. This was funny and informativ which you would not have if walking by yourself. You will pass some houses and village Principal before coming to sweet water reservoire which had still water in it. Here also bird watching is possible (herons, King fisher) End of the trial there is a small restaurant to get some food and drinks. From there also local transport can be used. All in all we recommend Rural highly if you want to learn something about people and nature. Thx Apollo and good luck in future 😉

I am a solo female traveler and hired a guide to visit the valley of Boa Entrada for a very good price. ( half of what other companies ask!) Patrick ( the guide) was so nice, caring for me very well and taking me to places I would otherwise never come as a tourist. At the end of the day, he made sure I got my public transport back to my hostel and waited with me untill the car came. I can recommend this company for sure! 👍👍👍
