I had an amazing experience with Elton at surfing island school. He advice me well and I had the luck to do a session with no wind which is not happening often in Sao Vicente. Best surfing school, thank you so much !

We had a great experience surfing with Elton. He is a really good teacher, takes the time to explain the surfing techniques step by step (including warming up and safety). Helped us in the water to catch the best waves. He knows the island and brought us to the beach that was best suited to our level of experience. Went there on January 2020, Elton took me surfing on a deserted beach and had the greatest experience. Would definitely recommend him, no matter how well you surf. (+ he speaks good english and perfect Spanish)

Elton is an easy going guy and a great company for surfing, definitively knows all the beaches and surfing spots of the island, is a great surfer and you feel comfortable. I recommend whenever you go to São Vicente and want to go surfing to contact the Surf Island School - either for renting the surf equipment or taking a surf lesson. Unfortunately I was not so lucky with the weather conditions and it was quite windy but it was fun anyways. For me it was really important to support a local guy and not a foreign business.

Had a great surfing lesson with Elton! He picked us up at our hotel, took us to an amazing beach and was able to give us the necessary tips for us to learn the basics. He's a relaxed and chilled out guy with a lot of surfing and teaching experience.
