Wonderful museum honoring the maritime history of São Vicente and Cape Verde's Leeward Islands. The exhibits on whaling, lighthouses and early migration are especially interesting.

Excellent museum , with much information about the development of the Grand harbour. Whaling was important in the past. Old pictures and videos of the anchorage with its sailing vessels. It was also an important coaling station. Lovely views of the bay and town from the top of the tower.

Nice from outside and the view from the terrace it’s nice as well but inside it’s not interesting at all and if you don’t understand Portuguese language, you will not get a lot of information so it’s a waste of time and money.
